    Thanks for the detailed comparisons. One thing I want to mention is that the video bitrates listed in the menu are in Megabits (Mb) per second, so you have to divide that by 8 to get to MB (MegaBytes) per second.

    • @ParadiseBizz
      @ParadiseBizz  ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you sure? Trying to record in XAVC S-I at 30 fps I inserted the PNY Elite x Pro 90 amzn.to/3twfhzS, which performs below advertised speed at a true writing speed of 148Mb/sec. The a6700 gave me a warning stating that this card does not have the performance to record in this mode.

    • @AirhostNL
      @AirhostNL ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ParadiseBizz Yeah. I'm using the A6700 with a samsung card that's not rated V60 or higher at the moment, so can only go up to the 45M settings on the XAVC HS 4K codec. Opening one of those video files on my computer shows a bitrate of around ~45Mbit/s. You can also check the file size, if the 600M bitrate option was truly 600MB/sec a 10 second recording for example should be around 6GB in size, or ~750MB in size if its 600Mbit.
      I don't know if the camera does some other checks in the background since I haven't been able to test it with a v90 card yet. Strictly looking at the bitrate it should be fast enough, but maybe it does some checks and/or has some safety margin to guarantee the minimum speed required.

      That's exactly what I wanted to mention... It's the average bit rate, not the minimum required byte rate.

    Towards the end of this video, you present side by side comparisons of a few different video file formats and ask if they look the same. I think if you took that footage and cropped in to see the detail, you would likely see significant difference. Did you notice this?

    • @ParadiseBizz
      @ParadiseBizz  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Good morning Tim, the displayed footage is indeed already a 100% crop of each of the shots. Of course, the differences are more noticeable when you watch the unprocessed footage on your 4K monitor. But overall it is pretty similar. If you're not a filmmaker shooting a documentary you can easily opt in for the better recording time without a noticeable quality loss

    This is a great comparison, thanks for posting!! I am using the Tilta fan and so far I have been able to shoot with XAVC-S 4k/30 (140mbps) until a 256 gig card runs out of space without overheating indoors (about 3 1/2 hours on a v60 card). I want to be able to leave it unattended to capture live music so a long runtime is extremely helpful.

    • @ParadiseBizz
      @ParadiseBizz  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a great result. Question: how did you attach the TILTA fan and how noisy is it? I don't know if you watched my ULANZI cooling fan review th-cam.com/video/8L30FyE4rqU/w-d-xo.html - I had quite a few issues with this one.

    • @KurtLauerman
      @KurtLauerman ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ParadiseBizz I did try the Ulanzi fan (and I did watch your review :) but it didn't want to stick, I tried hair ties and then thermal tape (I ripped off the suction cups which just didn't seem at all viable and didn't stick for me even with the surface tape they provided). Thermal tape actually worked ok, but then there is no way to close the screen without taking it off. I returned the smallrig cage I had tried and got the tilta cage which is basically the same price. The Tilta fan does not have its own battery which is a con, but the way it attaches to the tilca cage is really slick. It pulls out and down so that you can close the screen and then it will sit on top of the screen for storage. I don't have a V battery setup yet, just using a power bank to power the camera and fan. One of the smaller v battery setups would probably be ideal but also starting to get pretty bulky....

    • @KurtLauerman
      @KurtLauerman ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Tilta fan is very quiet as far as I noticed, it did not seem particularly louder or quieter than the Ulanzi. Although to be fair for my main use case of live music I'm not at all concerned about the noise :)

    Would a Sandisk v30 extreme pro sd card with up 140MB/s write speed be sufficient to record in 4k 100M mode?

    • @ParadiseBizz
      @ParadiseBizz  ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately SanDisk's advertised speed is false You can watch my SD card test: th-cam.com/video/Sko3g99w8wU/w-d-xo.html
      The Sandisc Extreme Pro V30 was advertised with 170Mb/sec, but reached only a true write speed of 84Mb/sec.

    A friend of mine has this camera, and we're considering using it to record outdoor basketball on a tripod. We will need at least 60fps. Is there any resolution setting where we could set it to 60fps for more than 1 hour? Would 1080P allow this, as it looks like your video suggests this would not be possible at 4K.

    • @ParadiseBizz
      @ParadiseBizz  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The outside temperature plays a crucial part in your recording time. 1080p would let you record until your sd card fills up without overheating. In 4K your only chance is to used a cooling back: amzn.to/4bJiMEf - this is the new improved model. The previous one was not so great: th-cam.com/video/8L30FyE4rqU/w-d-xo.html

    So I’m confused.
    1. The difference in file format is in post when grading not image quality
    2. If you’re getting 1 hour of recording in 30p what’s the issue? That’s amazing for a small body in heat at 4k?

    • @ParadiseBizz
      @ParadiseBizz  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      1) The different formats have differences in image quality, no matter how you want to follow up in post. It really depends on each filmmaker's needs.
      2) One hour recording time may be sufficient for many people, but there are creators who are looking to buy a camera to film weddings or documentaries.
      For those users recording times are important.
      Look, I did not make this video to be negative about the Sony a6700. The intension was to inform people who are interested.

    I am a bit confused.
    When you refer to the megabytes as streamingspeed, isnt that supposed to be said and read as megabits?
    If so ( and I think I am right), you will have to divide the numbers by 8 to get the right byte figures.
    Translated as 300 Mb/s equals 37,5 MB/s
    Notice the lower and upper b?
    Thats how to see if the figures are bits or bytes.
    Nice video though 😂
