I have never played fighting game before, so I bought DOA 5 last round with all costumes. Man that game is something else. Never get bored of two bikini girl fighting each other.
Hey gamology there's this one game called God Hand. It's a comedy beat-em up that has over a hundred different fighting moves that all look very cool. I hope you guys show the game to these martial arts experts as the game is also extremely underrated as well.

That's pretty much how I feel whenever I see bikini armor.
They are rather young. They obviously are unaware of a certain type of female ninja in ancient Japan. Those ladies capitalized on their sexuality to distract their targets... not just with behind-closed-doors stuff, not just with social interactions... but if they were in a fight, they would use their feminine charms (and-or actual nudity) to confuse their opponent so they can attack, defend, and-or flee.
Think about this. You are a female martial artist that is considered "hot" by most men. You are cornered into a situation where you need to fight a male target. Most men are straight, statistically speaking. You need a weapon but all you have, besides your combat skills, is that you are hot. Wouldn't you at least flash your boobies to distract him enough to give you enough time for at least one or more sucker punches that you can do?

Aww, a big part of the DOA games are the holds (reversals). We didn't see any of that. And should've shown Hayabusa's Izuna Drop (from hold or just as a throw). There's so much to show in DOA. Even more so in DOA5 since it actually has a tag battle mode which is one of the best tag modes in any fighting game (DOA6 is just a big disappointment for removing it, and the sucky business model of gouging the fans for all of their money that they continued from DOA5).
Agree, the special attacks were never that interesting to begin with. A complete waste to focus on them. Tina for example has so many awesome throws wich they could have used, but they showed her two worse attacks instead.

True and for Tina they should've showed a couple of her best moves aka her grapple moves basically stuff like her standing spike piledriver, stunner, her triple to quadruple suplexs(you have to quick with the buttons as the quadruple suplexs is an extended version of the triple suplexs), and her various arm grabs, and leg grabs. They also should've shown off Miia's best combos due to the fact Miia is a MMA fighter meaning her fighting style is a mix of kicks, punches, clenches, and ground-and-pound.
Honestly, they were gonna have to pull some of the tournament players videos for the good stuff to show up but that’s just me. 🤷🏽♂️
@@TronNotTheLegacy Correct on every level as I've seen some DOA6 tournaments online and most of the Tina players that do real well rarely use the weak cinematic super moves and instead stick with the bread-and -butter combos that use one of Tina's throws or grapple maneuvers basically the good Tina players usually go for moves like the standing spike piledriver, the stunner, the triple but mostly quadruple suplexs, and the various arm grabs, and leg grabs she pulls off aka the best moves she has in her pro wrestler moveset. I mean I saw in one DOA6 tournament a good Tina player do a really cool combo that is essentially starting with one her standard good command grab/command throw maneuvers and then transition into one of the various leg submission moves done while the opponent is grounded.

@@Syko757 Very simple, this is a spin off from the Ryu ga Gotoku series( Called Yakuza over here in the west) in a fan of this series. By the way there's a sequel to this too.

Damn, Yoshi's reaction to Tina just brought me to tears with laughter simply because he was laughing the entire time the attack was on screen, and Gemma's reaction was funny too, mainly the part where she just stares at the camera with a confused look on her face. while I Would still love to See them react to Yakuza 0 Majima gameplay, not gonna lie, I would actually really love to see them react to either King of Fighters XIV or Virtua Fighter, doesn't matter whichever you guys choose.

It was nice, but they left the best combos of the characters aside, it would be so much better if they had shown the combos instead of specials.
Not to mention half of the guys that supposed to be martial artists, and not MysticalNinjas, wrestlers and CEOs/fighters on the side

always sad when I see it not taken seriously, DOA is a very good fighting game.
With the death of VF, doa id the last noob friendly & pro strategic 3d fighter.
It’s always been one of the best, most fluid and technical fighting games imo.
I'm a bit disappointed that they didn't have them react to the people doing more unique and well-done martial arts styles. Mostly choose the new character additions who have super generic movesets or people with super weird movesets to make the game look ridiculous.
It would have been great to showcase Brad Wong and Christie who have hands-down the best looking drunken and snake in any video game adaption. Gemma and Yoshi definitely would have appreciated that. And I'm sure they would have gotten a kick out of Jann Lee's really good Bruce Lee homage or Kokoro’s excellent bajiquan.
Instead it was them reacting to butt attacks and jiggling which is funny, but kind of a waste of having of two awesome martial artists like them around

They were probably referring to the form of that kick. It admittedly resembles capoeira. I think it's in like every MK game too despite the lack of capoerists. I wanna say tekken's capoerist ironically has the most unrealistic version cuz he loops it with perfect form and impossible accuracy sans dizzy spells, and that game has at least two characters that do in fact get dizzy from spinning too much.

Dead or Alive has been my absolute favorite fighting franchise for over two decades, although I think its heyday has passed.
I was kind of disappointed that they ate up precious time with the unrealistic teleporting ninja stuff and Honoka, who was basically just copying Tina’s attacks.
Would love to hear their reactions to some more of the more realistic fighters’ techniques, like Jann Lee, Leon, and especially Lee Fang, since I used to study T’ai Chi. Also, Brad Wong, Hitomi, Ayane, Gen Fu, and Christie would have been fun to see.
God, watching this really makes me want to go fire up the old XBox and get into some matchmaking...

"Why here - Hayabusa?" ? Boy, this character was already in this game series - from DOA 2 or 3. And DOA - have many characters from other games. Ninja Gaiden, SNK games characters, there even was a female version of Master Chief from Halo.
And story of Hayabusa - is already merged with DOA and it's canon. Ninja Gaiden and DOA now - in same universe. Also Fatal Frame - too.
