Medic tried healing Demoman's eye. Several times. Every time, it mutated into a monster and tried to kill the entire team by next Halloween. Demoman's eye socket is canonically *haunted.*
The Demoman's eye was cursed by a wizard, and turned into Monoculous, a giant floating eye, that's why his eye can't be healed. The lore for this game is crazy.
@@MilitaryHistoryGearReview According to the lore, every time the medic has put an eye back in Demoman's eye socket it just becomes haunted and gigantic again at halloween every year and tries to kill them. That's why in the game there's a giant eye boss every year during the halloween events.
the they wont grow it back is its not just the eye thats cursed, but the eye SOCKET, its explained in the comics that they HAVE given him new eyes before, but every time they do it grows and becomes the afformentioned giant floating eye monster and medic just removed a part of demo's brain so he would stop asking, this leads to some side effects as (and i quote) "Sadly, brain-scooping is not an exact science"
Fun fact: the sniper’s parents are mad at him because he is wanted for attempted murder, not because it is murder, it’s because it is ATTEMPTED murder and not just murder.

I love that heavy says "I've yet to meet someone who can outsmart bullet." And his his best friend is the medic, and with his medigun has debatably outsmarted bullet.
Fun fact: there’s a sniper achievement for killing three people without missing a shot, the name is “be efficient” likely referencing the line in meet the sniper, as it’s accompanied by sniper headshotting 3 people in a row without missing
There are 4 achievements: "Be Polite", for killing someone with the Kukri and taunting on his killcam; "Be Efficient", for headshotting 3 people in a row; "Have A Plan", for capping the CtF intel; and "Kill Everybody You Meet" for getting 1000 kills as Sniper.
Fun fact: It is canon that Demoman’s body runs exclusively on alcohol. There’s a comic where the team is captured by another enemy team, and Demoman’s body legitimately begins to shut down because, according Spy, all he’s had since being captured is solid food and water. To quote Spy himself: “His body’s spend 10 years wrestling nutrients out of grain alcohol and aspirin. I suspect it thinks it’s been poisoned.”
The economics part of it is kinda wild and thousands of dollars in cosmetics are traded every day. there even was once a hat that sold for 14,000 american dollars in 2017. I personally used to be a big trader in the game and still have a inventory worth over 4k dollars, the game has a crazy self created economy.
Fun fact: medic grew up in Germany during a time in war where the Hypocratic Oath became the hypocratic suggestion. So his morals a bit skewed, in the comics he has experimented on both of his teammates. In a Halloween special he kills a mugger and resurrects him in a body of pumpkin to be a Halloween decoration Second fun fact: soldier thought sun tzu was spelled as Sun Zoo, hence the animal confusion
@@ValuesNotFound he was talking about the medic. There is literally only a sentence about the soldier compared the paragraph about the medic. How could you think he was talking about the solider?
23:31 For what it's worth "If fighting is sure to result in victory, then you must fight." _is_ actually a quote from the Art of War. It's a little out of context, but it is in there. The rest is complete delusional madness, though, yes.
Every character in Team Fortress is considered "Sub-normal" or outright insane by every other mercenary team. Also Soldier is not a "real" soldier, he was denied entry to every branch of the military in WW2 because he was deemed outright insane. Further he seems to gone even more insane drinking the lead based water of Teufort.
@@l4rgo911 I have a headtheory that during ww2 the Administrator was looking to recruit The Soldier as a merc so she manipulated the US government to reject Jane Doe (yes that is soldier's actual name) from joining the military as a test.
The soldier is one of the greatest characters in the entire game, not only does his meet the team video have one of the greatest nonsense monologues of all time, his backstory is a marvel of satire. The guy got rejected from the military on grounds of insanity, went to Europe anyway and went on a one man army killing spree before he found out the war ended 4 years after the atom bombs were dropped
@@MilitaryHistoryGearReview If it's any consolation, Soldier was never actually in any branch of the military. After being rejected from every available branch for being an obvious crazy man, he bought his own ticket to Germany to fight against Nazis. For many years past the end of WW2. But never call him a civilian to his face, it sets him off onto a neck snapping spree.
There are so many Easter eggs in meet the spy 1. Scout had no apparent reason to be next to that door, he wasn't in the room with soldier and if he came from that door he would know the password, plus he is a support character 2. Scout tries to close the knife like he usually does, but he realises he is being watched so he purposely cuts himself to not look suspicious 3. When the red spy kills engineer we can see that he shoots somebody. The person he shoots is probably the real Scout, as he also took his appearance and scout was never actually seen 5. Scout wasn't surprised, as he already knew about the red spy-scout's mom relationship, he was surprised because he didn't know he was being watched
He also has the Sandman out, which while it might've just been random, a teammate unnecessarily having their melee out is usually a sing of a spy accidentally pressing b or touching a resupply cabinet while disguised and with the knife deployed.
Well, idk if i'm right, but, in the comic for the "War!" Update (idk if is that one) we see some of the scenes from meet the Spy, but from the administrator's view, and we see that the Blu scout was killed in the bridge part of 2fort, but in the scene right after the Spy shoots the Engineer, the Spy shoots someone in a dark room, so probably, he was killing Demoman, or Pyro, since they are the only 2 Mercenaries we don't see on the video
For the record, the reason why Medic doesn't bring back Demoman's other eye is because that eyes socket is haunted. Every time Medic places a new eye in it, it becomes a demonic horror that tries to kill everyone. In fact: there's also a boss for team fortress 2 Halloween called monoculus which is basically Demoman's past eye that became said demonic horror.
It became haunted when he was wee lad, helping out the dark lord of merasmus with cleaning his home for some money, but as demo was cleaning, he looked in a book (the bomonomicon) that he was told not to look in which then demo did the exact opposite and looked which resulted in him having his eye destroyed and the socket cursed for all of eternity
4:29 Fun Fact: That counter right there is a kill count. We know this since after his sentry kills a heavy, the tally went up, bringing the count to 210. So canonically, the engineer keeps a tally of every single kill he scores. By this little detail, We now know that although Engineer is by far the most stable mercenary of the entire group. He's still as much of a psychopath as the rest of the team. A stable one at that, but a psychopath nevertheless...
@@MilitaryHistoryGearReview I know this has nothing to do with the comment but I just wanna say that the medic has healed demomans eye back several times but it always haunts them on Halloween.

Couldn’t it technically also mean somehow like „Überladen/Overcharge“. You know something of a higher Power output, wich could result in the invincibility it can give?
14:40 Fun fact in the game if you kill a Scout there is a slight chance that a dove flies out, which is a homage to this scene, mostly this can be done by exploding him.
"Uber" literally translates to "over/higher" in german, in which it is written as "Über". Also, the reason why medic cant heal demos missing eye is because demo lost his eye as a child to a wizard who cursed it, so that makes perfect sense
Fun fact, Medic restore Demoman's missing eye a lot of times, but every halloween, his eye become Monoculus and tries to kill the mercs, so Medic became bored of the situation and decided to erase Demoman's memory sometimes for him to forget that Medic CAN restore his missing eye
Soldier's whole character isn’t suppose to make sense, he went to the US Recruitment office in 1939 to sign up in every single branch of the military. He was denied for all of them so he spent money for a ticket to Poland all by himself so he could fight Nazis for 10 years (finished in 1949, 4 years after the war ended)
I know about how soldier doesn't make sense, after all it is a game and he is comedic gold, but if he had waited until 1941 or 42 he could've gotten in the military

@@blakecacini8016 Its not NOT canon, VALVe lore is always kept in a way that it is canon but also not canon, leaving it usually to the game its in, meaning heavy is both Dr. Heavy and not Dr. Heavy

I love the fact that you actually use a top-classed military pov to analysed each of these fictional characters fuelled with either alcohol, radiation, magic or Australium
I think one thing that was missed is that the tf2 team isn't part of the Military, but rather mercenaries, so for example, heavy refers to "sasha" as his gun because he never learned otherwise
It’s because it weighs 150 Kilograms and fires 200$ custom-tool cartridges at 10,000 rounds per minutes so it costs 400,000$ to fire his weapon for 12 seconds :)
Well, Scout can double-jump in-game. Being able to literally jump off air and change direction mid-air might qualify as a superpower... which wouldnt be too out of place in the TF2 universe considering Medic can bring back people who have been dead for 12 hours or in bloody chunks, and the mercs know a befuddled and immortal wizard who claims to be variously 7,000 or 9,000 years old (but is probably lying).
Don't forget that this was blue Heavy And i mean that blue team always loses in official animations So yeah he is probably weaker and less smart than red Heavy
@@TeenWithACarrotIDK In game damage numbers of weapons have no bearing on what happens on these videos. By common sense, using a baseball bat gives you a pretty obvious advantage over bare hands in a fight.
About that "it can't heal back someone's missing eye, what a ripoff" bit, it's actually explained quite hilariously in the TF2 official comics that if the Demoman would get his eye back, his eye would become a classic 80's-90's pop culture monster and try to kill everyone each Halloween (known as Scream Fortress), so my guess is that the medic's medigun is carefully programmed not to heal the Demomans eye.
The eye socket is haunted so he can place back the eye, but not use the Medigun. And demo forgets about it because Medic scooped a part of demos brain so he would stop asking. And demomans response is “Aye, fair enough”
In the Uncensored version of Meet the Demoman, Demo actually said "They've got more fecking sea monsters in the great Loch at Ness than they've got the likes of me".
Fun fact: TF2 actually takes place in 1968, just in an alternate history setting. Australia discovered a rare metal that made everyone ripped, gave them mustaches, and lead to futuristic technological developments before it was all used up.
@Aquarium Gravel That isn't necessarily the case. Most Aussies became normal after the Australium supply ended around 1972. Hale was an exception because 3 of his family's generations (Barnabus Hale, Billious Hale and himself) had been around the material DIRECTLY, unlike most Aussies that just felt its secondary effects.

3 Fun facts, scout was literally in lore a gift from god and can’t die until he has sex with every woman on earth. And spy is his father who left his mom when he was young and scout couldn’t be strong against other kids so he just decided to learn how to run fast
Scout had 7 brothers, and always had a problem with his brothers getting into fights and ending them before he got there. So he learned how to run fast simply to beat people up before his brothers caught up with him
Sniper is actually a Zew Zealand blood born, but was found by Australians. Because Australians are all massively buff, he had to learn how to climb trees and throw rocks at them to avoid bullying (I think because he didn't grow chest hair at a young age). Make this thread random family facts of characters. Someone do Demoman or Heavy next
Heavy’s father, and by extension, the rest of the family, are fugitives being hunted down by the KGB, and so they had to hide in an isolated, snowy area in Siberia, Heavys sister dated soldier and he sends his fight money to his family to support them.
Demo literally cannot live without alcohol, he has drank so much that if he sobers up, you literally have to inject whiskey or smth into his bloodstream.
I think it is canon that Soldier was rejected from all branches of the military so he bought a ticket to Poland and fought Nazis there until 1949. The war still ends in 1945 in this universe.
The reason for the "optical mask" is that they might be responsible for Pyro's hallucinations (although it isn't outright confirmed). This is backed up by the fact that there's an item in the game called the provision goggles which cause you to see things in a similar way to the Pyro character (pastel colors, bubbles instead of fire, ect). Also, fun fact: Sniper's piss jars are an actual weapon in the game.
@@MilitaryHistoryGearReview It's the Jar Based Karate. Jarate Which in game "gives those covered the sudden shame of being covered in piss" and take more damage from you and your team to kill them faster or to get the jump on an a bigger badder class then you to kinda even the playing field or give an opening to escape like a yellow misty ninja smoke bomb that makes the other guy fuck off to not take extra damage. You can also use the piss to dose your and your teammates of fire if the pyro shows up.
For the last time, the mask isn’t what causes the hallucinations. Pyrovision Goggles were created to simulate what he sees, same way that wearing infra-red goggles doesn’t mean you see in infra-red the rest of the time. They were part of an event and don’t even look similar to each other, Pyro is genuinely schizophrenic.
Not much of an implication, it’s outright fact. Remember, Heavy is the only other mercenary besides Engie to have a PHD (unless Medic is said to have one, but I somehow doubt that, considering he lost his med license).
My favorite bit about Meet The Pyro was that before it released, pyro players were just considered annoying tryhards that hold down forward and the fire button and just hope to hit someone with fire. After the video released, they're that, but also now considered incomprehensible psychopaths that are probably wanted in 8 states.
Did you know the way spy reacted as scout when they shot blue spy is exactly how red scout reacted to the tumor bread on expiration date, he payed attention and acted how a scout would react in a surprised way to keep a good facade, i LOVE that detail
14:11 Answering your question: The Übercharge is an ability the Medic can perform on every other class (including another Medic), not just on Heavy. This makes you and your teammate of choice invincible for a short period of time. It can be used to keep your team at the advantage when things start getting out of control or to completely turn the table if you're losing badly.

Yep. Demoman’s eye was cursed because he read from the Bombinomicon as a child while doing a job for the self-proclaimed evil wizard Marasmus. Moral of the story: when an evil wizard tells you not to read from a spellbook of his, you probably shouldn’t try to read it.

The Medic has actually tried to heal Demo’s eye before, and succeeded; however, since the eye socket was cursed by an ancient, magical book about explosives (which is owned by the Soldier’s former roommate, who is a wizard), the eye gained sentience, grew giant and attempted to kill them all on Halloween. For non-players, heavy dishes our the most damage per second with his gun, but his size and slow moving speed makes him easy to hit. The medic can literally take cover behind his body, so a common strategy is the medic sticking to heavy like glue. He starts with the most health and when continually healed, he can soak up a lot of damage even before the Uber, when he usually becomes the front end of push into enemy encampments. There’s a few ways to counter him, but for the most part an Uber charged heavy can destroy anything in front of him before the invincibility wears off, making it a very common strategy.

With the heavy, he has the ammo belts around his neck on backwards. Any experienced soldier would carry them with the bullet pointed out. It helps prevent the neck being chafed.
But heavy most likely has a really heavy bulletproof vest on, as he's a bodybuilder, and the vest is probably what gives him his immense health pool. My guess is the ammo belts wouldn't chafe too much because of the vest, and it would at most be such a minor inconvenience in combat that it's negligible. Although he would probably take it off when not in combat though.
The ability varies between the Mediguns, but yes, the Stock version carries invincibility to whoever the medic heals. I think I know another Medigun - known as the Kritzkrieg - that grants full crits to whomever it heals.

As a certified medic main, I can say that ubercharge works on everyone. Heavies just get the most pocket healers.
