I used your design for BM this year. Folded GREAT! One-Man Setup, practially.... until a small gust folded it backwards and it wrapped itself around me! The three-sides and low profile make it VERY wind resistant as long as the door is closed. I used a rope halo and three stakes to hold it down, but I really needed to tape it to the tarp it was sitting on to keep it air-tight. My only complaint is that its VERY cramped for the foot-print. I'm thinking of adding a skirt. Great build, Thanks Kevin

Thank you. I’ve watched a lot of videos on these but many of them don’t really explain the hinges. I was overthinking it.

Simple design. I'm going to use this next year. Reinforce the door with a piece of ply.

the tape brand I'm using is amazing! I tested it on the playa in 2011 when I built the tri nearodesic dome with it. it didn't melt and held perfectly.

I taped mine to the tarp and staked the tarp. and did NOT do any rope over it. I had another large yurt structure blocking the wind on the door side so I felt confident that it would be fine. I had three people sleep in it. we each took a corner and we had plenty of room but again all we did was sleep in it. I also painted mine with that special white polyplastic roof stuff. I think it really helped out with the temp inside. you got a pic to share?

Have you tried making one with 4 sides? Does that make too much waste?

Love it! How does it stay put in the wind? How is it in the rain? Lastly how do you transport it? 4'x8' panels need a large truck or van.

    yes, the air flows out.

That looks like a great way to beat the sun - what would you say the cost was, approximately?

I feel like there would be more usable space if a small half wall was put under the pyramid. Granted it wouldnt fold up in the same way and would use at least one more insulation board but you could fit way more stuff in there out to the corners. Thoughts?

What direction was the fan blowing air? I would assume it blew out.

How did you anchor it? Did you use a "rope halo" like many do with hexayurts? Love the design, by the way. Looks like it provides plenty of space and requires less panels. And easily foldable!

What are the measurements of the pyramid?

      Hon. It's made with 4' x 8' panels.
      Do the math.

How did the gaffer tape hold up? Did it melt at all?

Challenge. How about making an igloo?

So much talking, but what was important took less than a second at 1:38. Why did you speed it up?
