Colt Im excited for You and a little bit envious. Im full time retired and I just dont intend to do enough to justify buying one. Now if We were neighbors Id have to drop by from time to time to help out, and maybe borrow a few minutes on the machine. If You can do any kind of CAD Drawing, there should be a setting in the software to convert everything to Metric. Draw it in inches convert it to mm then load it to the stick and the Machine. You are smart You'll do fine its all just numbers. I ran CNC Machines for 40+ years and learned all the programing set ups and operation straight from the Owners manuals. We have exchanged Messages during the S10 Build on Facebook. So Good luck and best wishes to You and Shanna. And by the way She is seriously Cute~~ LOL
That will be a game changer for you and Shannon!! I guess Santa got stuck in a big snow storm, but at least he made it can't wait to see how much time it will save you!!✌️🇺🇲
Silica gel packs are good for your gun safes. Helps with moisture if you don’t have an extravagant dehumidifier for it. Nice cutting table! So much to make now. You will be creating things just to cut.😉😂🇺🇸🙏
I’ve had the 2x2 version of this for about a month now. You can change your settings to inches instead of metric in the settings. For anyone else thinking of buying one of these, they are pretty finicky to assemble. Lots of parts that look similar but have subtle differences that will bite you in the end if it’s not in the correct location. Great content, love your channel.
Just an idea for all the torch wires zip tied together, maybe use some plastic wire loom stuff. The kind like car makers use. It would definitely “clean” it up but also protect the wires 🙏❤️😎🤙🚗💨
I see sleepless evenings out in the garage playing with the new tool or maybe I'm talking about what I would be doing until the newness wears off. LOL Happy for ya!!!
I think I had ss much funds you did as I've wanted one for several yrs. This is a neat machine and since is Eastwood, I know it will work well as I've been buying tools from them for yrs. Let's see some one off parts on your next builds, the window piece looks great!!

Colt, that looks like a fun new toy/tool. I wish I had the space to have one.
Metric brought you to the Moon: The Apollo Guidance Computer did use metric/SI units internally for its calculations. But it converted to imperial/USC units when it displayed data on the DSKY. This is probably because the Apollo astronauts (mostly trained as test pilots) had an intuitive "feel" for imperial/USC units 😃
Hey colt as a fellow plasma table operator I will say unless that eastwood cutting fluid has some type of “slag disperment” i would just use water save you some extra bucks. I cut aluminum brass mild and stainless. Also make sure you use respirator when near it.
Great vid Colt. I got a used Lincoln Torchmate 24x24 a few years ago now and while I don't use it every day, when I do I love it for all the same reasons you mentioned... When your building a suspension or something you will wonder how you ever did without it... Cheers R...
18:50 Look into the mesh tubing we use for electronics on bass boats! I have ROLLS of that stuff, for stupid cheap- might be pretty BA for running wires in the car builds, too!
And another thought on the cables is to put an arm from the table up and over it in the center and then suspend the cables from a spring so that they move with little friction and are not rubbing on the edge. Nice table, TH-cam has been nice to you and I’m envious that you really are putting together a great fabrication shop. Nex you’ll be building the World Biggest Off Road Wrecker. 😁
Man, i use fusion 360 for 3d printing, and it is a hell of a learning curve. Glad you had someone to show you the ropes. Its the sort of software that you want to hulk smash for the first few hours youre learning it.
Add some anti-freeze in the water, and it'll keep the steel grid uprights from getting as rusty. Thanks, Colt. P.S Never mind, I see it comes with cutting fluid.
Great tool to have in any fab shop. One of the most efficient ways to create the most waste material. Allows you to have more scrap to take in for recycle.
Oh Yeah Also Get Yourself about a 1 to 1 1/2 by 2 ft piece of the industrail grating The stuff that 1 by 1/8 flatbar all standing on edge spaced out about 1 inch apart and inset that into To Plazma table, so that You can cut and capture small parts. Then You can cut tabs and 0ther parts from drops that would otherwise just be scrap
FYI, to remove controller you should be able to put a flatblade in the orange tabs and pry away from the Din-rail (apprx 3mm) as yourotate the controller off the rail, that way you don't need to remove the rail.
In about 6 months please note your opinion on this in one of your videoos. You can even put a board ontop the pool so it prevents anything from getting wet and another table top to put stuff on ;-)
Thanks for showing it! Been on my radar a bit, but going on my wish list now. BTW, how high is your shop ceiling? I like your setup and want to build my own when I end up moving.
I’m happy you got a machine; that doesn’t look 1000k better than the Langmuir but the metric business and the usb restrictions seem like a hold back. Being able to hook my laptop top up and change parts on the fly is sweet. Congratulations though
I can still hook up to the laptop but really don't want it in the shop. Building my stuff in Fusion in a standard US measurement is still fine, then I click the metric button before creating the .cnc file.
@ cool i'll have to check out the smaller version. i still don't know that id have room. maybe if i ditched some of the wood working stuff i have. but i use that stuff too. so it's a tough choice.
CAD based tools use metric or decimal inches. Most people would rather deal with mm than inches with decimal fractions. Example; What drill bit should I use for a 0.171875 inch hole?
I'm curious how often you will need that size table. I'd like to have one one day, but I think mine will be a 4x2. I'm tight on space, but I also don't think I'll need a bigger table.
I have aspirations of building twin traction beams for the Pacer one day but I agree, if you're only planning on doing tabs and brackets, a 2x4 table would be great
@coltbuildsit yeah, you will need the table for stuff that size. I figure on a diagonal across your table; it has to be over 6 feet. You could probably cut bumper parts on that table also
Ever since Laser printers got so good, many Luthiers and body manufacturers of Guitars are now laser etching images from Portraits to Intricate Designs, even printing their own 3D objects like Pickup Rings. The days of doing things by Hand and By Eye or dwindling away
Hey Colt, what are you using for camera equipment? I'm trying to up my game a little and was just curious what your set up is and what program y'all use for video editing. Love your channel and what you do!
Nice setup Colt, Suprised it only cuts 1/4" material though And doesn't convert too imperial measurements. I mean its kinda simple on the pc world for hardware to do that.
Yeah, it might but it didn't say in the instructions so I have them looking into it this week actually. It is super easy to change on the laptop though
I know it would be another thing to buy but buying a plotter for printing your models on paper at a 1:1 scale to test fit before cutting out of metal can save a lot of money in the long run
You probably won't deal with whole 4x8 sheets but if you do you should think about building a table the same height as the cutter table so you don't have to cut the sheet in half.
The reason I don't is because prices always change with the economy and as the video ages people complain about incorrect pricing. But you can go onto the site as i have not only added the link in the description but also pinned it in the comments.
@ fair enough, but I would think if you said this is what the cost is right now, or just like you said in this comment about prices change, would help, just so when a guy goes to look they don’t have a stroke thinking it’s for the hobbyists and find it’s priced for a professional. You get what I mean? But that’s for the reply.
As Promised Here Is The Link: glnk.io/mz0zy/coltbuildsit52y
Don't forget code COLTBUILDS10 for 10% off anything at Eastwood.
I can just imagine all the cool stuff that's gonna come off of that table.

Really enjoying your channel, Colt.
Stoked for you on your new table.
Have fun!

I throw the silica packs in my containers holding my rods. Good idea for the gun safe too!
Awesome to see people unashamed of their Faith! Plus, you build some pretty cool stuff.
Cool table I’m sure the fabrication will get easier!
Watch till the End! Because that is super RAD! Congrats on the new toy!
Eastwood has Good welders bang for your buck
Congrats on the table! Look forward to everything you make with it
you should be a shop teacher man, you are so good at explaining things.
Thanks dude, I appreciate that!

Totally RAD Colt, wow game changer in your new shop. Can't wait to see you use it,and thanks for showing us your new toy. Thanks for the video bro 👍
Thank you Colt for sharing this with me ! I really enjoy watching and learning stuff from you !
Just an idea for all the torch wires zip tied together, maybe use some plastic wire loom stuff. The kind like car makers use. It would definitely “clean” it up but also protect the wires 🙏❤️😎🤙🚗💨
I would save that black foam for custom cooler inserts, cut to fit for packaging.
If only I had the room for one of these!!!
Only if I had the money for one of these 😆
Colt, metric is easy, if you can count to 10 you've learnt metric 👌🇦🇺
Game changer!! Can't wait to see your imagination fly!!
Very cool Colt, it's starting to be a good year. Good luck, and stay safe.
I see sleepless evenings out in the garage playing with the new tool or maybe I'm talking about what I would be doing until the newness wears off. LOL Happy for ya!!!
Well now we know where the left over pieces of expanded metal came from for the Tea Party build.
I thought for sure with your guys love for SHENANIGANS. Thought would have tried to stuff Shannon in the wooden box😂😂😂😂😂
Thought COLT do the stuffing.
Awesome addition to your shop 🤠

Pretty dang cool Colt! I believe we are going to see some pretty neat stuff coming in future video's. Thank you for sharing
Sweet! congrats Colt on the new toy...... Some day I can only dream.. Have fun with it..
Now...that's cool Colt!
Plasma tables are a game changer
Always wanted that good of a review and explanation on the plasma table. Awesome
You’re going to need a bigger shop!
Great job guys. Thank you 😊
A cnc is definitely a must i have the portable one and saves me time and money
Great vid Colt. I got a used Lincoln Torchmate 24x24 a few years ago now and while I don't use it every day, when I do I love it for all the same reasons you mentioned... When your building a suspension or something you will wonder how you ever did without it... Cheers R...

Thank you, I appreciate it!
I'll have to send you a metric tape measure from Canada!
New Toy looks fun!!
17:05 Yeah, I'm okay. Thanks for asking.
LOL
Glad to see you got your plasma cutter.
Thanks for sharing.
18:50 Look into the mesh tubing we use for electronics on bass boats! I have ROLLS of that stuff, for stupid cheap- might be pretty BA for running wires in the car builds, too!
Awesome new tool Colt
I was literally just looking at this thing yesterday!.
THANKS FOR ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO, EMILE FROM CT.
You're welcome, Emile! Thanks for watching
Cool video. I like content like this .
So cool! I've wanted a plasma table for a long time! I'll be checking this one out. You will be making a lot of cool stuff for sure!
That’s too cool. That’ll be handy to have 😊. Happy New Year 🎆
And another thought on the cables is to put an arm from the table up and over it in the center and then suspend the cables from a spring so that they move with little friction and are not rubbing on the edge.

I spent 48 hrs on youtube and don't think I learned much. Might be one of those "community college" courses for me.
@ lol! well CAD is definitely a skill you'll be able to market if you learn it well. good luck!
Add some anti-freeze in the water, and it'll keep the steel grid uprights from getting as rusty. Thanks, Colt.
P.S Never mind, I see it comes with cutting fluid.
Very nice. Looks very useful as well. Did not look too hard to assemble either.
Yeah, it's super easy to put together.
Great tool to have in any fab shop. One of the most efficient ways to create the most waste material. Allows you to have more scrap to take in for recycle.
Dreams are coming true today!
According to their web site they have a 2x2 one also that would be a better fit for a garage. I wonder if my gear head neighbor knows he needs one..
FYI, to remove controller you should be able to put a flatblade in the orange tabs and pry away from the Din-rail (apprx 3mm) as yourotate the controller off the rail, that way you don't need to remove the rail.
Us big goobs got to have a smart woman to help us lol. I would be lost without my wife lol. Happy for you. I love to have one too.
Ive been waiting for a review on an eastwood table vs arcdroid
Ouch my head ! 😅😅😅
In about 6 months please note your opinion on this in one of your videoos. You can even put a board ontop the pool so it prevents anything from getting wet and another table top to put stuff on ;-)
It was at this moment he knew...he built too small a shop...😂!
I’m surprised that that thing doesn’t have another flexible cable tray on the side of it like it does on the gantry
Thanks for showing it! Been on my radar a bit, but going on my wish list now.
BTW, how high is your shop ceiling? I like your setup and want to build my own when I end up moving.
Walls are 14' tall
I’m happy you got a machine; that doesn’t look 1000k better than the Langmuir but the metric business and the usb restrictions seem like a hold back. Being able to hook my laptop top up and change parts on the fly is sweet. Congratulations though

@ it’s an awesome tool to have. I want to sell my 4x3 crossfire pro and buy an xr. Have you seen the ez scriber tool?
@@dualcasedtoyI’ll sell you an xr. Under a yr old no issues at all. Save you a bunch of money and all the headache of assembly
@ what state? You having problems with the thc?
You can partition a USB drive to a smaller GB size and I believe that works for the 16gb max problem.
question for the best ground the clamp to the plate you are cutting maby
That’s awesome
Barnes 4WD will notice a drop in gusset sales. lol
They sell way more then that though😁👍
I can't believe there's no setting to change dimensions to inches. In thd meantime 25.4 is all you need to know about the metric system.
Made in China, believe it.
Looks like a nice upgrade! Adding this to the list of things for the dream shop that may never happen. :P I dont have the room in my current shop.
They do make a 2x4 table as well. I just have aspirations of making my own twin I beams for the racer Pacer one day
@ cool i'll have to check out the smaller version. i still don't know that id have room. maybe if i ditched some of the wood working stuff i have. but i use that stuff too. so it's a tough choice.

When on earth do you go into the store and say I'd like to buy a 0.171885 bolt?😉😁
Colt, I know your family is a praying family. So, I am asking for all that believe and pray please pray for my family we need it right now. Thank you!
We will do so.
@@coltbuildsit Thank you!
👍🏽🇺🇸👍🏽 good video. Definitely a game changer
always wanted one but after buying a huge co2 laser my garage is not big enough for any cnc machine
I have big dreams for my 4x4 but they do make a 2x4 table as well
So easy even Colten can do it lol jk Paul has one I think Merlin does and I think Rory does also .
Try to put a spring on that cord so don’t drag
I'm curious how often you will need that size table. I'd like to have one one day, but I think mine will be a 4x2. I'm tight on space, but I also don't think I'll need a bigger table.

Your another that looks up to the camera all the time, better video if it is eye to eye. IMO 👍
Hey Colt, what are you using for camera equipment? I'm trying to up my game a little and was just curious what your set up is and what program y'all use for video editing. Love your channel and what you do!
I use Sony vegas for editing.
*me with my apartment single car garage*
Mmm Yes, I need a plasma table.
You can make some serious $$$ with it in a single car garage though.
Yum,,, green jello 😂
Nice setup Colt, Suprised it only cuts 1/4" material though

I'll look into that, thanks.
all the money you will save by not buying cut off wheels nice machine
Me as a European always wondered how you made it to the moon with the imperial system...😂
*MAGIC*
You probably won't deal with whole 4x8 sheets but if you do you should think about building a table the same height as the cutter table so you don't have to cut the sheet in half.
My local metal shop will chop the sheets in half for free😎
@coltbuildsit what is the grill under the willys pickup grill in your shop? That's the only one I can't figure out.
@mikebougher3731 1966 nissan patrol
Try using a 26’ measuring tape instead of a 25’. Check it out you will understand.
I might have some engineering tapes floating around. Thanks
@ it’s cool when you have both on the same tape. It make doing toe-in easy.
Being only metric means I will never buy one!!! I’m 58 and am not willing to learn… but great video!HNY!!!
We always consider the backtracking a "learning experience".
Wisdom comes from failure😉👍
Some times I need a person to build things for me

@grumpasgarage8481 if it helps the other tables of this level that I have found in a 4x4 are around 7-12k.
You are going to need a bigger garage soon
Ive needed a bigger garage since the day we moved into this one, haha
