Im back, for good! Been wanting to build a CNC plasma for a long time, but just couldn’t find any real clear tutorial videos anywhere, so i figured i’d just make a video myself and help everyone out who wants to build one too! Thanks for being patient everyone👊🏻🙏🏻 more crazy stuff soon!
Hi I just found this video about the plasma table build. I cannot thank you enough. A why did you choose the size that you did? The common size for sheet or plate here in the USA is 4 ft by 8 ft . If I could I would build it to cut 6 inches longer and wider than the 4 ft by 8 ft. I can handle the steel. What about the computer not getting confused? Are there other problems to be considered?
Good to see you back brother, I'm currently building 2 cheetah buggies. I elected to cut out all the parts by hand(a lot of work) but I'm very happy how they are turning out.. now all my friends want me to build them one, lol. Have already purchased 2 good running bikes and am almost ready to install the engines. But unfortunately I can't work on them right now cause my shop doesn't have any heat. Too cold in upstate n.y., will share pictures and videos when completed. I will be purchasing these plasma cutter plans from you as well in the future. I think I will make mine 700mm long though. Do you foresee any problems that I couldn't overcome by doing so?
What I find incredible is that you not only build this stuff, but then you provide plans for people, and you don't charge some stupid amount. You could easily charge more and many people would pay it. I can't help but respect that. Happy new year.
20 years ago I designed and built my own table, 5' by 9' I got as far as drawing pictures, things changed and I never set the machine up in my shop, I sold the electronics, kept the gantry, I'm going to buy these plans and revive my project, thanks for the inspiration.
One thing struck me as I was watching this video - That a CNC plasma cutter would have sure come in handy during the making of this CNC plasma cutter. 😁
Awesome video and I love your design. Also if you go into sheet cam. Options tab, then job options under the first material tab you can go to your size and enter the size of your sheet steel and then the red box will populate the size of your working area to make it easier to visually see how big that part is and where exactly you’re putting it on the sheet so you can lay out more parts per sheet and nest more appropriate, and save material
Wow I am sure impressed you are very talented. I kind of cringed when you solder the wires together. I am a retired software engineer, I have a BobCNC laser ether 3D printer, love the Gcode stuff! Looking at micromills now and on that path this under $2000 plasma cutter caught my eye. So glad I found you video,.
I don't even need the plans since i dont need a CNC, but it shows that you actually care alot about the people who want to build it themselves and that made me subscribe instantly. Legend 👌
Super mooi gemaakt!
What a great video . Straight to the point . Id say the best video on youtube so far .. been trying to build one myself but dont know how to start .. any idea how i can get the plans and i cant see the rest of the videos on the wiring . Keep it up .
I liked your videos, brother, well done, everything is clear and precise, thank you. I think there will be more such videos. I'm waiting for your subscriber from Uzbekistan
I LOVE your projects! I've already build a wood CNC, will definitely consider building this. BTW, I loved your kart videos. I'm wanting to build a Honda Ruckus style electric dirtbike/scooter. I hope you do something like this in the future.
Great to see your back! Beautiful machine you are a clever guy, how accurate can you cut? And what are you building next ? Something out of sheet metal I am guessing 😊
@ I usually get stuff laser cut as it is accurate to 0.1 mm. But getting stuff cut at home would be so much quicker problem is the plasma can also cut on an angle especially as the electrode wears. 0.5mm be good enough for most work👍
Does this have Auto Torch Height Control and Ohmic Material Sensing? What about the ability to hold a machine torch? Possibly with a breakaway safety switch?
Awesome work, looks great and functional. The Homemade Madness sign looks very cool also. How is it going now, long term? Keen to understand if the THC works well?
very good, I also have plasma similar to this but i have a problem with vibrations because motor with gear is connected directly to gear rack which causes vibrations on plasma torch, maybe beacuse yours is smaller, mine is (1m*2m) size... im thinking now that it will come out better with gt2 timing belt...
You may have covered this but what is the maximum cut size of this plan? What I love about CNC gantry style machines is the fact that are infinitely scalable.
This is a fantastic video! I’ve done a DIY plasma Table myself but I wish I had used this design instead! By the way, 50mm x 100mm is approximately 2” x 4”, but I understand the confusion since it’s not your native unit of measurement
the machine movent is very precise, but i have to work on dialing in the plasma settings for even better cut results. total cost around 750 dollars. if i were to build one again i think could build it in 3 days
@18.01 those strips, the length is wrong in the drawing. What length did you cut them to? There are no dxf files for the water table and slatholders either. :)
I didn't catch it in the video, but what size is the table and is it scalable? Also what software do you use to operate the system? Many thanks, and awesome projects !!
Great to see you back, absolutely spot on to the piont as always.Ive been considering having a go at this for awhile now and have recently decided to bite the bullet and buy one but after seeing this im now wanting to build my own again. I know its hard to put a number on it but what was cost all in?
For a while system like this 2500-4000. Table is about 1200-1500 no idea how he came up with 750. Software to run it is another 350. Plasma is 500-2500, air compressor and air filtration are another few hundred.
What size is the cnc plasma? Can you cut a 4'x8' or 1219mm x 2438mm. Great build well done. I would be interested in the plans I'm just not sure of the build size.... maybe I missed it.thank you!

🙏🏻👊🏻👊🏻
Considering the complexity of the plan, his charge for the plans is pretty much in line with what a lot of other TH-camrs are charging.

Yep😅😅🤣
Combine the audio in editing to be on left and right channel. Good to have you back!
Will do👍🏻👊🏻

I like how you talk about what you are doing more
Yes trying a new video style, glad you like it!

Finally he’s back, I’ve been waiting too long for his return. I hope all is going well and you can keep doing what you do best.
Perfect voor de gevorderde beunhaas! Fantastisch dit. Gelijk zoveel mogelijkheden met een plasmatafel!
Well done!
Thanks bro!👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻

Dude A+, this is sweeet!!!
Wow, that is a great build man. Have been thinking and trying to draw something similar in Fusion, but you just made it much easier :)
Nicely done, what a fantastic build and smart design. Looking forward to the next builds coming from the CNC plasma table!
Awesome! Would NOT have thought of DIYing one of these
Absolutely fantastic video, great instructions clearly delivered. Thank you so much. A young fella like you has a bright future. Subscribed

Yeeess you are back on TH-cam.. Most underrated channel on TH-cam, where have you been all this time? Happy you are back🎉🎉
Welcome back! banger of a video, big talent u are!
🙏🏻🙏🏻
This will definitely speed up your next great projects!
Literally a madman! Keep it up!
Ah, eindelijk!
Nice build. I’ve been thinking about building one but wasn’t wanting to 3D print anything. Your design is nice and looks well made.
So glad you're back!
HE IS BACK!
Great that you are back!
Is it me or does he remind anyone else of Ricky Martin
Great job man. Thanx for the content.
Uu jee.. Greatings from Latvia. You are the BEST!!

Great video.. who doesn't want their own CNC plasma!
Nice one, great to have you back

He’s back!! Great video, hoping for more soon!
Thank you for sharing. You are a legend 👌🏽
Looks awesome man I may have to grab some plans 👌🏻
Im so stoked for the next project
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
this guy building formula 1 car next time XD, awesome content bro, keep it up!
Outstanding, subscribed👍I need to get mine finished.
I liked your videos, brother, well done, everything is clear and precise, thank you. I think there will be more such videos. I'm waiting for your subscriber from Uzbekistan

Absolutely beautiful. Thankyou for the upload❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
awesokme! Subscribed!! Keep up the cool work!!!
Long time no see! Happy you are back!!
The parallels to Colin F make me blush with shame.
If I were Colin, I would...
Great to see your back! Beautiful machine you are a clever guy, how accurate can you cut? And what are you building next ? Something out of sheet metal I am guessing 😊
Depends on your cutter more than your machine. Very expensive cutters will get about 0.3-0.5mm accuracy. Cheaper ones are 0.75ish mm.
Yesss, good to see you back:)
Nice job! thanks for video. Will tray to do the same.
Nice build 👍🏻
Gracias.Quedo increíble.
Awesome work, looks great and functional. The Homemade Madness sign looks very cool also.
How is it going now, long term? Keen to understand if the THC works well?
I will purchase the plans when I fire up my desktop pc. Cheers
AWESOME WORK!!
Does it have adjustable feed?
very good, I also have plasma similar to this but i have a problem with vibrations because motor with gear is connected directly to gear rack which causes vibrations on plasma torch, maybe beacuse yours is smaller, mine is (1m*2m) size... im thinking now that it will come out better with gt2 timing belt...
You can use car coolant in the water pan to stop metal from rusting.
You may have covered this but what is the maximum cut size of this plan? What I love about CNC gantry style machines is the fact that are infinitely scalable.
Yes you can make it as big as you want
to connect high-precision guides butt-to-butt, and even put them on a curved profile pipe, the master is immediately visible
Thanks for sharing
I watched the entire build
I'm smarter now
This is a fantastic video! I’ve done a DIY plasma Table myself but I wish I had used this design instead! By the way, 50mm x 100mm is approximately 2” x 4”, but I understand the confusion since it’s not your native unit of measurement
Yeah its approx 2x4, for us viewers
Good job buddy, good content.... Keep it up
Great build. Do you think this would work with a Router attachment also? I have need of both, but don’t want to build 2!
Yes its pretty strong!
Awesome achievements! At 29 I could only drink a mug of beer, which I didn't even have an idea how it was brewed! This is quite inspiring.
🤣👊🏻👊🏻
Hey welcome back! I don’t remember, was the jet ski project finished?
Yesss😁
Hi, weld strips of 20mm along side to the strips where slats are. all slats will sit level to each other.
Where did you get laser cutting?
Nice video man, like to build mine following your video.
Awesome job man!
Awesome build!
Can you say something about the precision it is able to achieve?
And the total material cost and time spent ?
the machine movent is very precise, but i have to work on dialing in the plasma settings for even better cut results. total cost around 750 dollars. if i were to build one again i think could build it in 3 days
What method did you use to secure the letters?
Very Nice! 👏👏⭐️
See you in the next one 👍💪✌
so cool❤
I was wondering if I can use any plasma cutter for this build? Or is there something I would need to know?
Thanks for the help!
Yes any should work just ground your machine
And how does the machine know when it needs to strat cutting and when to stop?
@@janneuhaus4941 all in the plans video, relay hookeed to plasma cutter
What sort of precision does your build offer?
.2mm
How does your torch height controller work? Is it reliable? Just want to know before buying your plans. Thanks!
Wooo! He's alive!
You need a gantry crane or 2 beems that that runs across the length of the garage.
Good work!
@18.01 those strips, the length is wrong in the drawing. What length did you cut them to? There are no dxf files for the water table and slatholders either. :)
Insane. Thats a lot of work done. Thank you. Use gloves 😁👍
Ik vraag me af.
I didn't catch it in the video, but what size is the table and is it scalable? Also what software do you use to operate the system? Many thanks, and awesome projects !!
This is 1x2m but you can make it as big as you want, mach3
what is cutting width for Plasma Cutter? is it used by z-axis up down moving to start plasma cut?
Great to see you back, absolutely spot on to the piont as always.Ive been considering having a go at this for awhile now and have recently decided to bite the bullet and buy one but after seeing this im now wanting to build my own again. I know its hard to put a number on it but what was cost all in?
Thanks! About 750 not including plasma cutter and full software version
For a while system like this 2500-4000. Table is about 1200-1500 no idea how he came up with 750. Software to run it is another 350. Plasma is 500-2500, air compressor and air filtration are another few hundred.

something i noticed is that you didn’t suggest what pinion gears?
only thing i'd change is to add a set of track chain for your plasma lead so its not laying across like that. still, a really good build.
Will do!
Great project
What is the thickness of the gantry parts?
Thanks
5mm
Great video 🎉❤
What size is the cnc plasma? Can you cut a 4'x8' or 1219mm x 2438mm. Great build well done. I would be interested in the plans I'm just not sure of the build size.... maybe I missed it.thank you!
Not on this ond but you can make it as big as you want
Great design and build. Which online fabricator did you use for the brackets?
I thought about using ball and bearing system... could it be a choice?
yes could be done but the linear rails are not that expensive. but more reliable and more precise
soo soo long update but i. glad you back
