I agree, keep the big iron, and the best of the welders. Then you have all that's needed to make truck beds, headache racks, or anything else you can dream up. Best wishes from the far North.
As an older retired show owner I really enjoyed watching this video. Much better than watching TV which I never do anymore. Look forward to more like this. What some good stuff in those buildings.
@@hawaii3100 I see they already made some stunning desktops in the office - be great for more mobile workshop benches (back at HQ) when a clinically clean impervious top is needed for a pull down.
as much as we love the dozer and big boy toy content, i think most , if not all of your subs would love watching you build and tinker on your new buildings and the projects you will be doing to them!!
seam's like an ideal opportunity to set Tucker up in a fabrication business when he leaves school, you could sub your fabrication out to him and still keep it in the family
Awesome. A new.custom truck Fab shop and a new.metal Fab shop all in one video. Those young men could make a killing custom building and selling trucks!!!! Brilliant growth.
What an eclectic mix of kit and equipment, you can feel the spirit of all the old hands that used to work there then it closed overnight. A lot of memories held within those buildings but time for new beginnings and a fresh start it will be very interesting as to how you will develop this addition to your empire !
Reminds me of a motorcycle shop I bought back in the 70’s. Owner died, I was the only one who showed up for the auction. Bought the whole shop for $400. Took a week to move it all with u haul trucks. Tons of stuff. Over 200 350 Honda engines alone.
Best advice I can give ya. An uncle of mine was in a similar situation bought a building full of stuff like that. He contacted an auction company to come in. His guys and the auction company sorted through it all and put the rest up for auction. He said the amount of time it saved him was immeasurable. Just a thought good luck.
Great video, Love to see new construction and growth. I am 81 and your site is my favorite. I can relate to your type of work. And you are raising two awesome sons. Greetings from West Texas.
Like a bunch of kids in a candy store lol, what an awesome investment for your business. Lots of work to organize all of the fab shops inventory. Stainless fittings, sheets, tubing wow. Congratulations
That's a dream come true for young men with skills and imagination... The boys are setup for life with a bird nest on the ground.. Someone needs to live there 24/7 or everything will walk out the door.. A tall fence and some junkyard dogs would be a priority.. Here in the Arklatex area you can't turn your back 5 minutes without being pilfered by the creepers..😎👌
Ha, we can feel the excitement in your voice Clint, and cheer for you guys. Nothing better than applying one's self to new opportunities. Thanks much for taking us along!
I Personally think That Purchase was a Jackpot! You are Living the Good Life & Damned if it Doesn’t Seem to be Getting Better. Connected by a Railroad Too!!!! Priceless
My father kept things because, “you never know when you might need it someday” the Furbee is very valuable right now. A garage sale/industrial surplus sale would be good.
What an opportunity for your boys to tidy the place up and then to start making products you could market, accessories (tool boxes, dog crates, canopies, bull bars, side steps etc.) for utes (what you call trucks), 4 wheel drives and the like or even for the machinery you sell and service. A great business they could build up in combination with yours. Don't trash the plastic, it is so useful and saleable.
I was a weldor fabricator for 30 years and loved it. So typically when a business closes the assets are auctioned off not left and the doors locked. Also I follow Diesel Creek and Scrappy Industries. Those guys are the learning channel. AL B.in Ohio.
I once worked for a guy who went to estate sales so his wife could buy antiques, and ended up buy the contents of the plumbing/electrical/tile/whatever shop the deceased owner had. He'd drag me there afterward to grab all the good bits. Always fun to walk around and exclaim "Oooo, look, an old crescent wrench!" I get it.
One of those once in a lifetime opportunities, and you grabbed it! Looks like fun. It also looks like a heap of work. Love to see the clean up and inventory
I'm drooling over the lathe and the mill and all of the tooling and stock. It's a goldmine. That plastic looks like UHMW which is used for low-friction sliding surfaces.
Both buildings look great. The metal fabricating shop, a lot of organizations needed. But the possibilities! The best of both worlds. A new building to set up and one to bring back to life. Looking forward to more great videos!
I think a lot of people would love to see the site cleaned up and doing something with all the machines you have to build something. I can picture the boys making a nice fab shop there.
Today being August 2024 . That's alota stuff. Months of clean and throw away. Can I say don't get discouraged. You gonna need help Good luck with that.
Congratulations on your new building and the perchance of the machine shop and buildings. Now Hunter has a nice place to grow with his fabrication skills
Love the "behind the scenes/ other projects" content of what you guys do and what keeps you busy on top of the "9-5" stuff....which is still great as well. Just good content over all, thanks boys!
That's a really nice shop, everything's there to start right up. Just need some good fitter welder's, who can read blue prints also having the work to keep them busy. Im guessing the previous owner couldn't find work or clients to keep the place afloat. Times are tough everywhere . It'a beautiful piece of property, congratulation on your new buy, and a new chapter begins for C&C Equipment.
I and my wife photographed a Juvenile Facility/Prison (with the State's Permission) that had closed down, and all of the Machine Shop's Large Equipment, Tools and supplies were all left behind. Room after room, with lunch boxes, jackets and other personal items that were just left where they were sat down. It was extremely fascinating to see and this video reminds me of the hundreds of pictures we took to document it. Building after building, chapel, gymnasium, power plant, prison cells, barn, theater and more were just left in tact. Thanks for the long vidja and bringing us along. John here, from the back-roads of Northeastern Tennessee.
@@MegaDargar I agree, it would be neat. We were allowed in three or four times and each time I would see something I had missed before. The school building had a leaky roof that they didn't fix and so paint was hanging down, mold was on the walls, and critters had started moving in.
Like that big old double Wadkin disc sander; English made wood machines business, well known in the woodworking industry that we are in AUS . Lucky you with that beast !

well i hate to see family business to go out but there is a lot of stuff so yea could be a turnkey operation , the stainless sheets are worth something and the millers are good welders , nice shop
There's millions of dollars of inventory and fab equipment in those buildings if you doubt that start buying each piece in those buildings new and having to write a check for it, not sure what you paid but it's a home run for sure!!
Man,that fab shop is pretty cool. You could make about anything you wanted in there. That is pretty much what I did during my working life. I've been disabled since Feb of 2011. I'll be 56 on Tuesday. Have a good one, take care and God Bless!!!
