How to Find Socal GRUNION Run w/ bonus Surf Fishing White Sea Bass LUCKY CRAFT

- Was able to experience my first grunion run in Socal and was also lucky to catch a white sea bass while surf fishing with the Lucky Craft Flash Minnow 110 Super Glow Electric Grunion. Was only able to make a few casts as I brought all 3 of my kids and we had a blast as the grunion were running thick!
In this video, I provide some tips on how to find a grunion for yourself, as well as some rules and regulations on catching them.

When i was a kid we caught grunipn at USAL beach out of Leggett . My uncle rolled them whole in cornmeal and fried them in a cast iron pan over a campfire. Those were fun times.

When I was a kid, we spent many a late night on the Carlsbad beaches waiting for the grunion to show. Back then we could build a bon fire to stay warm........good times.
Amazing memories, at the end of the day, that's one of the best parts of all of this - being able to look back and remember the amazing times that were had! Thanks for sharing!

Yeah if you're 16 or older you need a fishing license bro if you're on the beach after 10:00 you're going to get a ticket the gay government closes the beaches you might want to mention that to people

Thanks for the comment! IMO no need to ikejima, I've never eaten them before so not sure of best practices but they are pretty small so I believe most folks fry whole.

Drive all the way from Moreno Valley every year with my kids, but I get kicked out from every beach from Cabrillo Beach to Newport by police at 10pm. Anybody got any secrets
I’ve been out on Belmont shores, seal, sunset, and hb city with no problems in the past year. Not sure of what the individual beach regs are tho. And I think it also depends on the security that night as I’ve heard they are more lenient when it comes to runs.

That’s actually a great place to find them, try walking south towards the jetty. The thing is, sometimes they show and sometimes they don’t.

Took me like 10 tries to finally see a run. Seal beach is good brotha, they do show up there often from what I understand. Also plan on trying Long Beach, Belmont shores.
