And just for general information - Yemeni Jews are not Sephardic. Sephard is the Hebrew name for Spain - Sephardic communities are mostly Jews descendant from those driven away from Spain in 1492 by the edict of newly created united Spanish crown. Mostly communities from North Africa and the Maghreb, as well as Greek, Turkish and Bulgarian jews, a part of the larger Mizrahi (eastern) diaspora. I.E every Sephardic jew is Mizrahi, but not all Mizrahis are Sephardic The Yemeni Jews are much more ancient community, with many customs differing a lot from both Ashkenazis and Sephardis. Many estimate that they were living in Yemen since well before the begining of the Jewish diaspora after the destruction of the Second Temple by the Romans in 73 C.E
