Hi buddy. I'm just about banging my head against the wall with my KQ 300. Hard to start. Won't idle. Pops and bangs through carb when it runs. Tested CDI, regulator, new plug and cleaned carb, set valves.. Eventually put a brand new carb on but still the same. Compression 110psi. Any ideas?
I have to ask is the 750 axi 2019 the same way. I'm having issues with mine here In Canada can't find a fuckin thing. Out. About the bike servicing wise
Andy is the 500 you worked on here close to the same as the 750 valve wise? Meaning could I adjust my 750 valves in the same sequence and same instructions. AKA/ valve clearances?
Hey Andy, how many km did that bike have? Just wondering how essential it is to get this done, after 200km initially seems extreme. Also are you just using brake cleaner here or sonething else. Thanks for sharing.
Why would you not take the time to wash it before you opened up and vital areas. Amazes me how people work on muddy motors. Just a disaster waiting to happen.
The bike was washed prior, 2 hours spent water blasting mud from the chassis Modern ATV chassis are less accessible for cleaning due to the extensive plastics now covering the engine. Not ideal at all. Cheers Andy
Well, yet another fine instructional video. Great stuff.
Thanks Brian :-)
Subscribed. Awesome job Andy, thanks for sharing.
Great video Andy! It's time for my 100 mi valve clearance adjustment on my 2021 KQ750. If you know, would your video also apply to my KQ750? Thanks!
Dang Andy, you look as Stoned as I am😂✌🏼
Push pin trick is to buy the remover tool.
not keen on the harness sleeve for the injector plug . looks like its got a good chance of holding water and letting it in to the main loom

Chech valve timing & also pull flywheel & check it hasn't spun on the key way
Cheers Andy

Mine is a Yamaha special tool- any Yamaha dealer should be able to supply.
Cheers Andy

First service is critical, components bed in & clearances often change as a result. Do it now & it should then be good for a long time.
Cheers Andy
