Ulike changed my life. I used to get stubble on my chin and sideburns by early afternoon. I had to shave my face every single day, and it still felt rough and coarse to the touch. I wouldn't even let my husband touch my face 😢
After maybe 2 or 3 sessions with Ulike, I noticed not needing to shave for DAYS and still seeing very little hair. I'm about 3 months in now, and I honestly can't remember the last time I've shaved my face. I feel so much more confident going out in public, not being worried if people can see my stubble and razor bumps through my makeup

The stubble question is actually the most important for me! Does anyone have more experience??
I never shaved in my life..only wax or silkepil
… and the full on shaving especially on bikini area is a really hateful new experience that I don’t want to repeat after the first to times using the unlike…. I am now wondering if I just waste my time doing the light zapping on stubble, because I don’t want to ever have needles in my pants and the immediate ingrown hair make me wonder how any person could have ever been convinced it’s a good or/and an esthetic idea to shave down there……..
I literally want to zapp the bikini zone for the bikini moments of my life and would usually wax it, but decided to invest some time and money, to be lazy again after the work😅

If you don't shave the hair gets hot. Instead of a hot pinprick, it's a hot hair on your skin. I tried it on my forehead to see if it would work on dark spots and some strands of head hair got in the way and those hairs were all burnt and scraggly.

I bought the Ulike back in February 2023 and used it twice a week in the middle setting and by May I was almost hair free. I have started using it again this month because I found some areas of my legs have started growing some thing hair here and there but is not much, I am overall really happy with my results and I love, love the feeling of smooth legs.
I have very very fair skin and jet back hair so I think my result are due to the difference in tone of my hair and skin tone. I am so happy I finally decided to do this because I’ve shaved every day of my life since I was 13 and omg, shaving every day was a chore.

Been using the rose skin co one consistently for just over a month and it’s been a game changer 😁 my dark body hair has dramatically reduced, (the fine blonde ones are still there but idm those really) I just love that the hairs grow back slower and finer so I don’t have itchy legs for days after shaving. I do find that in harder to shave areas like arm pits and pubic area it can hurt a bit if theres a bit of stubble/hairs that missed the razor. Idk how some people can do it in 10mins but that extra time is definitely worth the lasting results. Mine was only £50 in the sale when I got it a couple years ago so it was a no brainer 😁

Studies have shown no Cancer related issues for using IPL Because it targets melanin and the radiation used is that of visible light therefore the DNA does not get affected. I just got the Ulike purple one :) Excited to shave less. 6 years ago I used a Phillips IPL on my legs and 6 years on about 30% came back. I'm lazy, Hated prickly legs touching so having hairless legs for me is a comfortable thing and saves time. I'm going to sell my Phillips because it's just bulky and takes ages to use. I'm hoping my bikini line that's taking over half my inner thighs will be gone because I get horrible shaving rash in my intimate area so if that's gone then again a more comfortable life. My arm hair over time is so fine and blonde it's not worth it but my pits need doing to and when I get facial hair that will be next. My question is, I've heard that you use IPL to get rid of broken capillaries on your face, those ugly, tiny red veins. I don't have very many of them but I have a few around my nose, enough to annoy me. Are these IPL at-home devices for hair removal the same thing? In other words, can I buy one of those devices for hair removal but yet still use it for the broken capillaries on my face? Or would I have to buy a different type of IPL device for that? And do they even make anything like that for at-home use for broken capillaries? As always, I appreciate all of your advice and for always bringing a smile to my face 😊

But I really wanted to get rid of some hair so I finally bought the Ulike air3, it was very important to me that it didn’t hurt, so was very skeptical and hopeful.
It just managed to arrive a few days before my jaw surgery so the day before surgery I did half of my legs and my underarms… and oh my god… It didn’t hurt at all I didn’t feel anything other than a nice cool touch (I’m a big wuss, why I’m so impressed 😅)
I’m now 10 days postop and the regrowth is minimal😱 and that’s keeping in mind that I only managed 1 session and that I usually would have to shave after 1 day, I am so impressed and cannot wait to do it again when I’m able😄

I use IPL Ulike 3 and I sometimes get lazy and skip the shaving part. I realize that you will feel the zapping a lot more when you do not shave. Depending on your pain tolerance it might actually be painful or at least uncomfortable. I notice significant results after 4 weeks and now I use it less and less.

Several years ago I had several sessions of IPL and sometimes by the time I got to the salon, my shaved hair from the day before was already growing back and OMG, THEN it hurt! Because the heat was aimed at the dark hair on the surface of the skin and thus, it hurt the skin. It also wasn't getting to the actual hair follicle. I could literally smell burnt hair! lol

I'm a "guy" that is planning on picking up one of these next paycheck. Specifically the ulike air 3. After a little over 20 years of shaving I have had it. My hair grows fast enough that I have to shave daily. If I miss more than 2 days it's painful to shave again. I am a 1-2 for skintone on that chart with black to DARK brown hair. So I hope that within a year 80-90% of my hair will never return.

    • @harshbarj
      @harshbarj 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@@Sabs_222 I did. I have mixed feelings. I'm not sure I can see any change in hair coverage (so no bald spots that I feel are attributed to the treatments, though there are quite a few that may or may not have been there before. A smarter version of me would have taken photos first). But one thing is for sure, hair growth is around 40% of what it was. I can shave Monday morning and not have to shave again till Wednesday night / Thursday. Even then it's more like I have to shave because it's a little grown back. Before IPL if I went 3 days I'd almost have to break out the hair trimmer before shaving and even then I was at high risk of cutting myself from the dense hair growth.
I can say it's MOSTLY painless. Though it can sting a bit. I have even had a few that really hurt. It's really key to make full contact with the skin as any skin not in contact with the glass will get hot and feel like it's being burned. Though I have yet to have anything beyond slight redness you'd expect from being out in the sun for a short time.
I'm really thinking of picking up a laser handheld now. They have around 3-4X the power and WILL kill the hair cells in just a few uses unlike IPL which will take a few dozen. Problem is they are twice the price @ around $500. You also must be careful as some shady companies market IPL devices as laser. One key way to tell is the light emitting area. IPL devices tend to be rectangular and fairly large. Laser tends to be round and small. About the size of a pencil.

@@kimfoster6755 Yes, I only used level one and I think it only made more darker hairs on my upper lip. I did some research on my own online. It turns out if the IPL is weak for the color of the hair, it can encourage MORE growth like you mentioned. I was too afraid to go any higher than level one because I asked Ulike about 4 different times if 2 or 3 levels were safe on the upper lip and they would never give a straight answer.
