The product page for the Air 10 still has the same recommendations for skin/hair color as the previous ones & it does NOT say that it will work on dark skin or light hair. I think the confusion is from a diagram for the new Skin Sensor, which adjusts the power based on skin tone & (quoting from the product page) "stops flashing if the desired treatment area is deemed too dark for safe application"
PLEASE DO *NOT* USE THIS ON DARK SKIN!!

You're completely right, that diagram looks like it decreases the intensity as needed to work even with dark brown skin.
It could be that the FAQ is outdated because they use the same FAQ for all products.

There's also the epilators. Not one tweezer, but a heck of a lot of them pulling your hair out. It doesn't have to grow as long as for waxing.. I use that during the summer, because I could litterally shave twice a day. And I haven't found an ipl device sold in my contry, that works for really pale skin, and also, I have tattoos, and you're not supposed to use ipl on those.

I have a 8 plus year old IPL. It works… has limited pulses. As soon as it dies… I’ll get a Ulike. Most of my hair is gone. But armpits always seem to have follicles that won’t stop. I have 20 ish hairs on my legs that haven’t gone away . Brazilian area is great. But I think perhaps the newer ones will end the stubborn ones!

I have a light complexion & mixed blonde & light brown body hair. The Air 3 has worked great on the light brown hairs but not on any of the blonde hairs. It's still worth it to me b/c it did result in less overall hair (esp in my armpits & bikini area) but if you're only trying to remove lighter hairs, I didn't think this will work for you.

It most likely won’t work on light blonde hair. :( My hair dresser has the same color as you light blonde with red and it didn’t work on her. Your hair needs to have contrast with your skin. I would go to a clinic to see if you are a candidate for IPL before buying the gadget! I have one and it has been working great on me but my hairs are light brown. My arms are blonde so once I get to my arm we will see if it works on blonde! 😆

I asked my husband to get me the Ulike 10 for my birthday! I've never done IPL but I'm a perfect candidate as far as the contrasting issue (pale skin, very dark hair). My birthday is tomorrow and I'm so excited to try it out! Your video couldn't have come at a better time ❤
As far as the reasons for wanting to be hairless, mine are very similar to yours! I have sensorial issues with texture and my legs and other areas feel more pleasant (to me) when they're hairless. But I would never keep up with waxing appointments. Shaving is easiest, but I get awful razor bumps! Not only do they look bad, the texture issues have me constantly trying to "pop" them though they're not zits.
IPL seems like a worthy investment and I'm eager to get started. Would love more videos as I begin my IPL journey!

I've been trying to get rid of hair for almost 30 years now (I'm 43). I'm a very hairy woman, very fair skind and dark black hair (lots of them). I tried almost everything. Even waxing or sugaring doesn't work well. I seem to have too many active folicles, so if I'm in a rush I need to shave (twice a day). I also tried, I think it's called electrolysis, where a needle is put into the hair folicle root, electricity is being sent down to kill it off forever. It hurts like hell. Never really worked for me.
The only thing that does work a little is IPL. Unfortunately, I stopped doing it ages ago, but I used it on my legs and have some empty patches there now. I really should grab my super old Braun device and get back to it. I think that device is too big to use on underarm or bikini area.

This is a tiny bit off subject, but I wanted to ask you about shaving the peach fuzz off your face. I don't have tons of peach fuzz on my face, no dark hair and no "mustache." It's just that the peach fuzz I do have on my cheeks and near my ears, jawline occasionally shows up in selfies. It's transparent and not thick like I said, but if you zoom in you can see it. I always heard that if women shave their faces we'll get "five o clock shadows" etc... is that true and can I shave my peach fuzz off? If so, what's the best tool and way to go about it? Sorry I know this is sorta out in left field. I like your channel a lot. Great advice on here!

I know I’m not the person you’re asking, but I shave my face and have been for about 3 years at least. You won’t grow a 5 o clock shadow nor will your hair grow back thicker or darker, people think that because when you shave you create a blunt edge to the hair. I just use my normal razor to shave my face but I’ve seen plenty of people using those smaller razors that I think people use for eyebrows sometimes. I would just advise making sure you’re using a clean razor, and use some kind of lubricant, whether that’s shaving cream, or normal face wash soap ( I usually just do it in the shower when I’m washing my face lol)

I’m so sick of ingrowns and sore bumps from waxing, shaving. I even use mild peels down there to help the hairs poke through skin but they get caught and cause ingrowns too often.
Does anyone know which laser hair removal is better for hair that isn’t that dark?

I tried the latest ulike like 2 months ago..it's very confortable to use, and I guess it does slow down the hair growth eventually. However, you gotta invest time 4 times a week on this, meaning that while you are doing this process you have to shave just as often, do the before and aftershave routine so you dont get bumps in your bikini area, and then use the ulike...It's definitely time consuming. I was very disciplined about it and didn't get the results I was expecting, so I decided to go full laser, which is more expensive, but it works immediately. I am.mixed race, so my skin is light brown and my hair is REALLY DARK. In conclusion, it does work a bit, I guess, but not nearly as effective and efficient as laser. Also it's not as painful as laser. Their return policy is 90d BTW. I ended up returning mine, they were great about it.

I have HS so shaving and other home methods cause huge ingrown that get infected to the point I have to go see my dermatologist to get it lanced....my next visit I ll be asking him about it .... 🎉❤Casandra if you SEE THIS which one would u suggest to try just for armpits right now,I think I can tolarate the pain too if I was ok getting TATTOOS im pretty sure I be ok! I'm sure if I had the time my health insurance might pay for laser hair removal but I have no time to chase them for few months and I ll eventually do so but I need to have my pitts or do something about it bc I hate the ( i had radical hysterectomy and have bad case of manapouse) BO is gross and also having boils that need lancing (bc the hair is 99% gonna endup an ingrown) is pain and pain in the ass...Im gonna watch all you videos on that subject and i will see if this might help and trying me get rid off tha problem....Thank you
FYI for ppl not knowing what HS is doctors are even puzzeld..
HS can stand for hidradenitis suppurativa, a long-term skin condition that causes painful abscesses and scarring. HS is also known as acne inversa. It usually occurs near hair follicles and sweat glands, such as in the armpits, groin, breasts, and buttocks. HS causes pimple-like bumps or boils to form under the skin, and lesions include deep nodules, draining tracts, and fibrotic scars. These lesions most often appear in areas where skin rubs together, such as the armpits, groin, buttocks, and breasts. The exact cause of HS is unknown, but it doesn't spread from person to person...Fun i seem to have all the "S" diagnosis MS, HS,madness, sadness 🤣🤣🤣I know it's not funny but I'm over cying so now littlehumorvis well deserved❤️🥰❤️😘

I cried inside when I heard you say it takes 10 minutes to shave your whole body. If I shave one small section with Gillette, the blades get full after one swipe, and then I have to wash it out which takes a while under very powerful water, and then I have to swipe on that same spot 3-6 more times with those washes in between before the hair is gone in that one small section. Therefore, it takes me an hour just to shave both legs. Even wax places take hours to wax both my legs. They overcharge me because of this.

Their website has the same skin color recommendations as every other IPL company. So both groups that you mentioned are still excluded. Medium brown to dark skin is still listed as unsafe and pale skin and hair is listed as not recommended. People with medium to dark skin could injure themselves if they blindly followed your endorsement. Please don’t use this product on your friends and clients with dark skin.

    •  27 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

I just bought the air 3 but I was considering this one and you’re 100% correct. They still say it’s not safe for dark skin tones. I didn’t find enough benefits to the air 10 over the 3 for the price hike. SHR mode can’t be used for more than 10 minutes because the whole thing shuts off. I’ve been using the air 3 for two weeks and it seems to be slowing down hair growth. I’d like to see how it’s going in three months

I have this genetic mutation that Elizabeth Taylor had. My eyelashes were so full that it hurt each pore, and at first I lost 8-10 lashes per day, but one day they all fell out from the heaviness and became completely bare. When I first shaved my legs, the same thing happened to my legs. 3-6 hair per every 1 pore began to crop up when it used to only be 1 hair per pore. In my case, shaving really did make it come back thicker, longer, more coarse, it was just so much worse. The weight of the additional hairs in every follicle started to make my pores hurt from the excess weight, but unlike my eyelashes, it didn’t make them all fall out and get bare. What’s even worse is that it made them grow even longer so the pulling sensation when wearing jeans got even worse. I’ve even gone to laser hair treatments that wouldn’t work in the time it works for other people and not even double that, despite my hair being as black as can be, and even though it lessened my hair a tiny bit, it still didn’t take long before it came back as if its removal never happened. Even when I shave it’s back in an hour. Even when I wax it’s back in less than a week. The hair on my head and my nails are the same. I’ve seen several inches growth in a day or less with both… The more often I cut them, the faster they grow, the harder and longer they get. It’s even painful. In terms of my hair on my head, my bangs had to be recut every morning as it grew several inches per night, so one day I stopped cutting my bangs and it grew so long in 2 weeks but after that the growth slowed down, and in terms of my nails, when I cut them daily they grow even faster but when I cut them once a month it grows much slower but either way I have no choice but to have long nails. I am hoping this new IPL device will help me since I’m medium-dark skinned. If it doesn’t work, I don’t know what to do.

I think the myth that if you shave it grows back thicker comes from the first time we shaved our groin area. Maybe it was just divine timing for me, but I remember the first time I shaved, it was like peach fuzz and it grew back into the “pubes” we know them as now. Idk if I JUST started puberty at that moment after I shaved and it just so happened to grow back dark and thick because of that, or if shaving the peach fuzz caused that. I think that’s where that comes from though lol
