Exactly, the Ottomans were not the first owner of the land, they were many conquering the area ever since the people of Israel came there from Egypt.

@@-Belshazzar- The people of Israel did not come from Egypt; the bible myth about the Jews leaving Egypt is in all likelihood an allegory for the New Kingdom of Egypt empire collapsing control over Israel. After Egypt left, the kingdoms of Israel and Judah arose from the Canaanite people there. We know this from cultural and archeological continuity.

@@-Belshazzar- good point; early Hebrews had some power in Egypt during the third intermediate period and lost it when Egypt regained power, so there was definitely some population exchange. And then of course when it was all one empire there was population exchange

The Jews who had settled in the present day Israel and Palestine after they were driven out of Egypt by Pharaoh, moved out of that promised land after many years because the invading Islamic forces drove them out yet again and they were forced to migrate to different parts of Europe. They did not just leave that land to gain knowledge or experience something different, as is said here. They were driven out by the barbarian Islamic forces that are intolerant of other religion and cultures. Same then, as is now.

Hey, can you please make video how Islam & Christianity came to Indonesia? As an Indonesian, Islam didn't really come with trade especially to what happened with my ethnic groups, an indigenous ethnic group in the middle of Sumatran jungles and Bukit Barisan mountain range near the largest vulcanic lake in the world. In 1539, Acehnese Sultanate invaded my ancestors's kingdom when our king refused Islam. Aceh lost the war then they bought & hired Ottoman weapons & soldiers to invade us. In the 1820s during Padri War, Padri soldiers massacred 200.000 people including our king for not accepting Islam, they brutally ransacked our villages/cities & massacred my ethnic groups who refused their religion. They were failed to conquer us when a cholera outbreak happened thanks to dead bodies that leaked cholera. After they failed to conquer us, our ancestors were devastated after watching our ransacked kingdoms and dead relatives even cholera outbreak happened and decimated our population. My ancestors became hostile towards outsiders/foreigners. A couple of US Baptist missionarists came and introduced Christianity. Too bad, the locals thought they were another hostile foreigners/outsiders and they caught & ate them. Before Christianity came, my people were pagans who had cannibalistic culture/rituals. My ancestors conducted cannibalism towards people who did terrible crimes such as rape, murder, or treason. POWs were also eaten back then. Before Christianity, my ancestors believed if we ate people, it'd grant us magical strength. A German missionarist came and introduced Christianity among my people. He built schools, hospitals, etc. But a lot of kingdom citizens hated him coz Christianity could destroy our culture and religion such as our cannibalistic rituals. Cannibalism was eventually banned when Dutch colonial regime imposed anti cannibalism law towards us in 1900s. If Christianity never came, perhaps my people would still do capital punishment in form of cannibalism. Unlike other Indonesian regions which were colonized for 350 years, we only got conquered in 1907 when Dutch soldiers succesfully assassinated our priest king. Dutch faced difficulties at fighting a cannibalistic nation in the middle of Sumatran jungles near a large lake. Abduls keep using my country as example how abdulism spreads peacefully while ignoring how they oppress us for centuries even declare the invaders as national heroes
In Marco Polo’s memoirs of his stay on the east coast of Sumatra (then called Java Minor) from April to September 1292, he mentions an encounter with hill folk whom he refers to as "man-eaters".[24] From secondary sources, Marco Polo recorded stories of ritual cannibalism among the "Battas". Marco Polo's stay was restricted to the coastal areas, and he never ventured inland to directly verify such claims. Despite never personally witnessing these events, he was nonetheless willing to pass on descriptions which were provided to him, in which a condemned man was eaten: "They suffocate him. And when he is dead they have him cooked, and gather together all the dead man's kin, and eat him. And I assure you they do suck the very bones till not a particle of marrow remains in them...And so they eat him up stump and rump. And when they have thus eaten him they collect his bones and put them in fine chests, and carry them away, and place them in caverns among the mountains where no beast nor other creature can get at them. And you must know also that if they take prisoner a man of another country, and he cannot pay a ransom in coin, they kill him and eat him straightway.[25]
Oscar von Kessel visited Silindung in the 1840s and in 1844 was probably the first European to observe a Batak cannibalistic ritual in which a convicted adulterer was eaten alive. His description parallels that of Marsden in some important respects, however von Kessel states that cannibalism was regarded by the Batak as a judicial act and its application was restricted to very narrowly defined infringements of the law including theft, adultery, spying or treason. Salt, red pepper and lemons had to be provided by the relatives of the victim as a sign that they accepted the verdict of the community and were not thinking of revenge.[32]
Ida Laura Pfeiffer visited the Batak in August 1852 and although she did not observe any cannibalism, she was told that:
"Prisoners of war are tied to a tree and beheaded at once; but the blood is carefully preserved for drinking, and sometimes made into a kind of pudding with boiled rice. The body is then distributed; the ears, the nose, and the soles of the feet are the exclusive property of the Rajah, who has besides a claim on other portions. The palms of the hands, the soles of the feet, the flesh of the head, and the heart and liver, are reckoned peculiar delicacies, and the flesh in general is roasted and eaten with salt. The Regents assured me, with a certain air of relish, that it was very good food, and that they had not the least objection to eat it. The women are not allowed to take part in these grand public dinners."[33]
Samuel Munson and Henry Lyman, American Baptist missionaries to the Batak, were cannibalized in 1834.

@@Decision_Justice Yes, but they won't admit it. They would believe Indonesia is an Islam country even though it's a democracy. The majority is Muslim but still there r several minorities that r legally accepted by Indonesia law. Thanks to our first president and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika.
Our constituency is well written by the scholars like the declaration of Independence.
It's ironic how ppl can be jailed for tarnishing Islam but not the other round. Muslim preachers r allowed to say bad things abt other religions but not the other round. It's a sin to even think equally with other religions. There r 4 ethnic races that rejected Islam, 1 of the island was almost conquered but failed. I stayed there for 2yrs, the indigenous ppl told me the history n they dislike Muslim. At any time, they r okay not to be part of Indonesia or be independent rather than submitted to Islam. That's how our country, despite the majority is Muslim, is a democratic country.
Now Muslims in Indonesia r taught to be peaceful, like the Egyptians and other progressive Arab countries. Only with peace, we can truly advance

For those who like to wallow in hatred, they cannot move forward and cannot improve. They will forever be stuck in the rut.
Since you are knowledgeable and one of them, you could have been able to help them.
Unfortunately with their type of ideology, mentality and being brainwashed from young, they will not listen but will want to kill you instead cos they will see you as a traitor.
There is nothing anyone can do and we hope that in the end they will realise and figure out for themselves that their present life is leading them nowhere except being used and exploited by others.
I believe those 'innocent Gazans' would have fled as soon as they had word of Israel's impending attack.
The ones who chose to remain and put their children at risk are the ones who want to die for their cause so that the surviving family may get a lifetime of respect and money out of it.
Although we sympathise with them and wished that they will have a better life but it is the life that they choose to want.
I feel that you and Mosab still care for them and wish the best for them. I hope they will realise that someone out there still cares for them wherever they are.

I think the main thing that needs to be done is that Muslims need to be taught critical thinking skills like you clearly have. Maybe it can be done without pissing off the radicals of Islam? Im not sure though. I dont want anyone to get hurt. But it will take brave men to change your religion/society and it has to be done from within. Christianity went through this as well during the enlightenment period. It required bravery for scientists and scholars to speak against the church.

The Palestinian cause was initially secular (the PLO is socialist), but over time, the re-Islamization of certain societies (Iran was the first in 1979) produced the appearance of groups like Hamas, Taliban, Hezbollah or al-Qaeda (Meir Kahane and his Kach party appeared in Israel, whose mentality has been inherited by groups like Lehava or La Familia.). whose duty was not only to annihilate the Jews because they were considered invaders, but also because they were “infidels” (like Christians, Samaritans, Druzes, Baháʼís or Ahmadiyya). People like Mahmoud Darwish or Uri Avnery, Edward Said or Baruch Kimmerling, and even Christopher Hitchens, warned us, directly or indirectly, of the danger of mixing nationality with religion, we should have listened to them; Otherwise, groups like Hamas itself, PIJ, Mafdal-RZ or Otsma Yehudit would not exist, or at least they would not have as much strength.

Correction, the Ottomans ceded the land to the jews (Arabs got Syria and Iraq) the British (and French) were trustees of a Mandate to transfer the lands either to the Arabs (in Iraq and Syria) or to the Jews (in what is today Israel and Jordan). The British (and French) were never sovereign. That is not how the Mandate system worked.

The partition plan was 1. not legal. 2. never implemented, 3. the British were still the Mandatory power entrusted to transfer all fo the land to the Jews. (Arabs got Syria and Iraq) the partition plan was a non-binding dead on arrival UN scheme that was rejected by both the British (who forbade the UN to come and take control over Jerusalem area the included Bethlehem), and the Arabs (who demanded all of it.) The portition was a breach of the UN Charter article 22 and the mandate's article 5.

Regarding 1947, well I can understand the Palestinians that they weren't accepting the UN mandate. They hold most land. So for many of them it was a expropriation. And the Israelis (Zionist) certainly expected that otherwise they wouldn't have bin able to even have a chance to win. 😉
But from today's perspective Israel is certainly one if not the most successful countries of the orient. dissolving it now would be as bad as what happened 1947/48. Two bad doesn't make a good thing.
The biggest problem today are IMHO the hardliners on both sides.
I agree with you the Palestinians need a new progressive Muslim leader but that goes for Israel. I also think when the Palestinians accept the borders of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 242. Which means withdrawing the later Israelis settlements. This will be hard enough for both sides. But necessary.

Very much on point but history wise id say you missed couple things
1 jews were exppelld en mass by the romams after a series of falied revoults and wars
    2. Jews are native to the land decnded from canniets they formed the kingdoms of judah and israel
3.jews faced genocide and perscution for 2000 years not just the holocaust
3 there were allways jews in the land even if in small numbers
4 the migration back started around 1882 (my family came in 1870ish ) but it indeed grew dramtically to things going on elsewhere
