@@ManyATrueNerd Fairz snm. Also side note- a really fun and interesting and EXTREMELY criminally underrated game is Mark of the Ninja. Basically a 2D dishonored/batman game with a ninja aesthetic. Really cool story too

Snake-oil Salesmen: *Normal "cures everything" sales pitch*
Jon: *Buys the snake-oil*

He was right that it would turn out to be useful anyways. At least, it wasn't a total waste
Well, in FO2 he was suspecious of a guy selling medicine that could cure anything. Didn’t believe him. Then used a stimpak.
If the price is right, even snake oil can be worthwhile
I wonder if you could have given it to the other King ... but it's probably a too major plot to just nip right then and there with a simple potion.

I noticed the immediate change and take charge in Ivo, which is suspicious, but could just be having your father poisoned at your wedding is particularly sobering as well.
Seeing your father die before your own eyes will make you sober and cure any nervousness you feel around girls I bet.
That being said, he could still be responsible. But why then would he leave the door open for Eryk to proof that he wasn't involved?
Simple, give a chance to prove innocence to alleviate suspicion of yourself, why would he give that chance?
Clearly Ivo wanted the crown and disagreed with expending the kingdoms army, but he couldn’t just suddenly revoke the deal without an ultimatum, allowing innocence to be proven.

That's literally my perfect game right there. In these fantasy settings you always play as roving adventurers, but I've always wanted to play one of the people running things, or even just someone living their daily life like an innkeeper or something.

You were tasked with building a castle, a bit like a slower version of "Stronghold', but from time to time, you were visited by people and had to make decisions...

@@chris86simon Technically speaking, you're still playing the 'adventurers' as they're your subjects and you have to control them during their quests. That isn't to say Sims Medieval isn't worth playing, because it is, but it's not really what the OC is talking about.
@@re--dacted Yeah theres certainly "adventuring" going on, but the king and smith are very good examples of just running a smithy or a kingdom. I just thought Id shout out a good game that might interest OP and they could check it out.
You're speaking exactly of a fantasy innkeeper simulator game. And it exists and it's called Crossroads Inn. I haven't played it, but then you should definitely check it.

@Eternal Dragon at least you don't have to buy dlcs just to get access to a religion or other crap. Ck2 has too many dlcs
@Eternal Dragon CK2 is a tad less personal though. It's more about dynasties, and eugenics, and breeding programs, and Satan worshiping, and incest, khem. I mean it is more "grand scheme" sort of thing.

The son killed the father, or at least was heavily involved. That matches with good ol medieval succession methods.
I wonder if Jon still had the medicine at the end, would he have been able to save the king or is that completely unavoidable

I've always wanted a game like this ever since that short segment in fable 3.
Jon played so much Crusader Kings 2 that he doesn't see his children as anything more than pawns in his game of international chess. Of course he will yield when mighty Cornwall invades at the end of the game, biding it's time and letting everybody fight amongst themselves so they can conquer the continent with ease.
Just based on the thumbnail, this family is headed for doom. No male heir :D

Fits you perfectly! It is joy to watch! It would be interesting addition into Fallout series , Assanin Creed series and Skyrim as rpg accountant mod. Especially , if Jon was playing the mods. Then , we would have extremely happy camper who has best of both worlds in same game. Accountant rpg in these series can evolved around characters who will live or dies for accountant's better lifestyle during their adventures with cutthroat competitive companies who seeking to destroy eachother with accountant's help. Of course, Accountant will outplayed them all and take control of power in the end.

Jon, have you heard of this game called, Long Live The Queen? I don't know how you feel about anime but I think it's a pretty neat game.
You're a young princess who's mother just passed away and is soon to be inaugurated as the next queen in her stead, but during this time you are vulnerable to possible plots of rival kingdoms and must survive long enough to be crowned, it's pretty difficult too so if you also enjoy a challenge then maybe you'd give it a go, maybe even for a video?

The one where you can die in many, many horrible ways?
It doesn't seem very NSFW if you just peek at it on Steam for a minute but yes, all while also taking your royal lessons on how to be a proper queen and manage a kingdom.

This reminded me of 'Pathfinder: Kingmaker' where I would always send my general on a silly task so he was unavailable when the shit really hit the fan. That game was brutal at launch with how unforgiving it was. I heard they patched it to make it more forgiving, though. At any rate, I like what I'm seeing of this game so far!

actually its kingly Etiquette for one king to receive a visiting king while sitting on his throne... its supposed to show respect and power during official talks in front of subjects who are not allowed to talk while the two kings are in the throne room

Not really. They mention it with enough to weight to show that it's a commonplace practice. And in medieval times, marrying off at a younger age was commonplace, as the legal age was 12 for girls and 14 for boys.

It was common for lower class and peasants to marry young as it was beneficial for dowries, as well as having kids early (Mortality rates were high so it's best to get started while young). With Nobility however it was different. Usually Nobles would court each other at around 16-18 and that could last for years. Most nobles didn't marry until they were at least in their late teens to early 20's. However this is not absolute, as there have been many circumstances of young rulers marrying.
