In day 2 Jon kills a nuclear power plant safety tech, which results in hundreds dead because of a meltdown.
In day 3, Jon doesnt think that killing a pilot would likely result in him dying while flying and killing the entire plane. The pilot is only saved because he has 5 kids.

It's still a dumb thing to say, because if you quit, you can't get any unemployment income (without very difficult legal proceedings wherein you prove you only quit because your former company intentionally made work hostile to get you to quit instead of firing you in order to deny you unemployment or some other benefit you are for whatever reason owed, at least), whereas you have a chance at it if they fire you, depending on why they fired you and how hard they like to fight unemployment claims.

The kill 2 of 6 I would go with the drug addict and revolutionary are my gut reactions to kill.
Drug addict editor: dark past might lead him to a murder rampage if things go wrong.
Revolutionary: I’m still 50/50 here since the revolution could lead to the overthrowing of a corrupt government for a more fair and less warmongering group. On the other hand he could lead to the death of countless people and instill a far worse government institution. Either way if he acts then tons will die.

Wasn't expecting one of those to cross the Grim Reapers desk. Neat.
Also a bit like PurgaTony, which is a good thing. At least Jon only has to kill them, and not determine where they go. Though I would have liked to have seen him send someone to hell based on pizza topping choices.

I think based on the sentencing and the news on the phone for the last one, the IT guy is the one supposed to live. The guy you let live is implied to be a one managing corporation excuses & legal loophole when they screw up. Like the one causing problem. The other one don't have significance and also old.

Yes please do a livestream of this game. It was a lot of fun hearing you rationalize how you chose who to save or not. I think you're right that the demo is meant to end with being told that you ruined everything just because it needs an ending.
Also, I think you're right about movies, TV shows, and other forms of media are wrong about how quitting works. They are often wrong about pretty much every other mundane aspect of life. How much someone is paid at work is not as high a priority as is loving a job. People enter locked apartments that do not need keys to unlock them. Racing cars around the countryside does not require refueling. I guess that explains why writers are writers, and not cashiers or race car drivers, and that they live in safe homes that do not need keys.

And yeah, I immediately thought how some of the conundrums presented by the game could be really interesting ways to explain diferent philosophers version of morality in a “practical” way; and even how other questions can be explored, like what gives the player the authority to make those decisions, whether they should make them and such. Quite a fascinating concept.

In the US, two weeks notice when resigning is polite but absolutely not required. You can say "I quit" and walk out the door that very moment, unless you're in the military. Refusing to accept the resignation and forcing a person to remain on the premises to work seems like it would qualify for criminal charges like unlawful imprisonment.

No Jon, quitting it is a civil matter, a notice period is not legally enforceable, you can quit with immediate effect and they have to take that as read, though if you have already been told you are fired in writing then you can't quit because that legally would have precedence, it's not good enough verbally though. Always handy having a quitting with immediate effect letter handy if things get rocky in a job.

In the US you can quit most jobs without giving notice. Two weeks notice is a courtesy that future employers will look at when deciding to hire you. Since it is harder to collect unemployment benefits when you quit, it is actually often better to get fired, while employers prefer that you quit.
