I got my wife a 23 and me DNA test. She has always thought of herself as a Chinese girl, but I had my suspicions. The Chinese government has declared that over 90% of the population is Han Chinese, and the rest as a mixture of 56 different minority ethnicities. Vivi is Han Chinese by ID, but I have always thought she had other features. To her shock, we found out everything, and even more about her DNA and genetics, including what diseases she will have etc.

Queen Elizabeth: th-cam.com/video/LodT5DrQ1ek/w-d-xo.html Najib is not running away, because the US is weak the wolf of fucking wallstreet is only in Hollywood movies. With China Najib really did what Leonardo De Carpio did in the movie and 100 times better as in Can Leonardo create for all his so-called wall street bravado create a Forest city even if he manage to get all American Tycoons in one room can their negotiation lead to a Forest City? Did he even get Bill Gates to appear in the movie? I'm giving China all the US military secrets cause the US has failed me I have no time for the weak I've invited the Chinese Navy in England because I don't want to be used like my retarded cousin George Bush by Reagan's pisspot Indians and Rome's Bill Mar Orphans that have grown fat in the weakness of the US. The Chinese Communist Party do not tolerate rebellion and it will never go along with this corruption nonsense, if China does not go along nothing will happen. Najib has done enough sacrifice by stepping down and his Party has sacrificed its pride by relinquishing its one party absolute dominance which I don't know if they realize this but its really too much to give away and not worth it. Malaysia's political system will never recover from this blow and this will reverberate not only in the preceding Political Party themselves but in Malaysian government especially those cabinet officials that are designated by the ruling winning Party. China is never going to be run by powerless people like James the Navy Sixth Seal th-cam.com/video/jivtLyoPvl8/w-d-xo.html who has no connections and is so poor that he's slave his inbreeds and monopolize the NORECO power company controlling it by making it into a cooperative and having approval of all electrical permits in his inbreeds land which they sold to the cooperative to make money. By having a cooperative ironically his inbreeds are slaving in maintaining the electric grid without a say in it because it is left to the decision of the cooperative whose members have no clue of how electricity works or any technical matter for that matter. In the end even the people just put in a vote for the sake of it because James put in so-called benefits in joining the cooperative. They just do as James say to get it over with and poor James will not let anyone but his inbreeds be enslaved by it because he is afraid that his lifeline to a lifetime of opulence in the US and Japan might come to an end if non related people work on it. You should see his people here working in restaurants that no one eats but mostly themselves but their real job is selling food as street vendors so that the masses can get cheap food. James is so fucking a retarded pedophile wannabe Priest that in the US this guys could have worked in restaurants and go to a premier college instead of just being a street vendor. That's right Xi JinPing they serve such high end food that working there should be expensive enough to get you to a decent University as a part time restaurant worker let alone own it. th-cam.com/video/jpX-uA-Kcvo/w-d-xo.html James WTF!? That is why I am instructing my British M16 agents to give all US military secret to China. I will not be fucked by the weak US like my poor little retarded George Bush. th-cam.com/video/wE1UIK85E3E/w-d-xo.html&lc=z222xd2rsneczxfqk04t1aokg4uqkgwveg5kxxzeervjrk0h00410.1529354342366861 It is actually James that is making Hikikomori of the Japanese.

I'm VERY into this stuff, and history in general; I am not at all surprised she is mixed. I am very 'white'; but my o- blood type comes from an all white indigenous tribe in NE Africa, called The Basque. Only 7% people worldwide have my blood type- and I found this out through research on my own. I have yet to take an actual dna sample test like this one.
Other than that, the lie my whole life is that I am mostly German and English; I am not.
By bloodname I am Scottish, English, and Swedish.

If they marry outside Chinese they will marry white people only. Only Chinese from China feel this way maybe? My dad’s cousin’s daughter married a Chinese guy and he does not look Chinese but they are Chinese that moved to Laos and then the met in the states. My dad’s cousin’s daughter look more Chinese compare to him. Light skin fair beautiful, slim high nose bridge , oval long face. She gets mistaken for being Chinese all the time but not her husband. Vivi's reaction to this DNA test sort of revealed her internalized idea that being Han and 'purebred' is superior to being a minority or being a Vietamese lol....But I like how honest this video is. I don't think people should focus too much on or spend too much effort seeking their self-identity simply from their genetic ancestry because it is not your ancestry but how much obstacles you have overcome to become who you are today that shapes your true identity. Coming from an European ancestry doesn't mean being more classy, nor does coming from a southeastern ancestry make you a lesser man. A person's value is not measured by the heights one attains, but by the obstacles one overcomes in its attainment. No matter where we came from, we should embrace that, be proud of that and to make the best out of it. My opinion.

There is an unidentified ethnic group called 穿青人 in China, a perfect example for this. Basically, they were descendants of early Han immigrants, mixed with local people. However, they were discriminated against and not seen as Han by later Han immigrants. They do not identify themselves as Han because Han people do not accept them. Another example is Hakka. Nowadays Hakka people claim they are descendants of Han migrants from the north, the purest Han. However, DNA evidence doesn't support this. More importantly, before the twentieth century, other Han groups did not consider Hakka to be Han and claimed that Hakka people were barbarians. The name 客家 (the guest) was a quite common name for marginal groups in southern China. Initially, the communist government decided to make Hakka a separate ethnic group and honestly that was totally legit. Many other Han groups in south China actually could be independent ethnic groups. However, many Hakka party leaders decided that Hakka people should remain in Han because they wanted to prove that Hakka are civilized and not barbarians.

When the Han expanded southward, places like Zhejiang, Fujian, Canton, Yunnan were full of SEA people. Only due to cultural & linguistic sinicization policy that the Han managed to assimilate these SEA locals into Han civilisation. And because of famine and wars in the North and better trade & farming in the South, Han men started to migrate to southern China, intermixed with these locals forming what is now called "Southern Chinese"

There are many different ethnicities that form the "Han" identity. It's not really one monolithic people group. There is no "Han" genome really. It's a "cultural" identity, but not a genetic or ancestral one.

How ViVi has Taiwanese blood is completely understandable, if you know about ancient history. The native Taiwanese looking like Polynesians is because that's where the Polynesians originally came from. Around 3000BC, they started to move out from Taiwan and the coastal regions of southern China and into the Pacific. Firstly, going to places like Guam, the Philippines and parts of Indonesia. Then they spread out about 1000-1500 years later to areas such as the Solomons and Vanuatu. It was only much later that they ended up in Hawaii, NZ, Tonga, Fiji, etc. The native Taiwanese were in southern China thousands of years ago. In actual fact, they were native to there, along with people like the Hmong and Miao. ViVi would even have close ties with many of the Japanese. Many of the Yamato People that populated the southern islands of Japan and Honshu as well, were from the same area of China and SE Asia. In actual fact, there is no such thing as a "pure Han" Chinese person. Even the Han themselves are an admixture. "Han" only refers to a politico-cultural identity, not a genetic or tribal grouping. In fact, the "Han Chinese" were a minority to begin with.
They were a small state in Central China during the Warring States Period (it's separate from the later Han Dynasty) foundered after the partition of the original state of Jin, in 403BC. It was split into the states of Zhao, Wei and Han. The state of Han was basically the "wasteland" of the original state...all the mountainous areas and land that wasn't good for agriculture. The Han Dynasty, which is where the modern Chinese get their ideas of being "Han" is only very loosely associated with the original Han state, by name mostly. In any case, a "Han Chinese" was a real mixture of different peoples considering that the geographical area the Han state as represented by the dynasty covered a pretty large area, about 1/3 of modern China. The whole idea of being "Han Chinese" is a fantasy concocted by the communists in order to find a way of keeping control of the various peoples they managed to subjugate. It's basically a lie, one told entirely for political purposes. It wasn't true even when it actually meant something (as in the Han Dynasty).

There are ten DNA clusters of Han Chinese, so Han Chinese themselves are not homogenous. Also, during Yuan to Qing, Han meant not for Chinese but these Jurchen-Korean mixed people who worked for Mongol and later became top caste of Ming and even worked for Manchu later, Chinese people that we known as Han are not this Han, but Nanren aka Southerners. When Chinese wants to be pal with NE Asian neighbors, they use DNA samples from NE parts of China even Beijing to Shandong selectively which are similar to Manchu and Korean, very sneaky but when you meet the actual Chinese ppl, they're looking like Vietnamese and Thais.

Additionally I always enjoy DNA result revelation videos simply because of the people's reactions on what they find out about themselves, you can learn a alot about a person from a vial of blood or saliva. DNA doesn't lie. Take me for example I move through life as a POC (Black) yet my first language is Vietnamese having been a child that grew up in Viet Nam but born in England to a Jewish and Black father who is a harden synagogue member and Torah follower who decided to marry a beautiful woman from Vietnam my mother. Most of my DNA is essentially from non black ancestry, yet I navigate life as a POC with most people seeing me as such, I do so proudly. DNA Science has really educated us by pulling back the layer on what we think we see as oppose to who many of us really are. Keep doing the solid work on these videos, stay safe cheers

    • @Cbricklyne
      @Cbricklyne 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      So what?
It just means that the people who filled out your passport don't know the difference between RACE, and ETHNICITY and NATIONALITY.
There are quite a few countries on this planet where the nationality is the same as the primary ethnicity of the people in the country (like Japan for instance, and even then "Japanese" is still an ethnicity and not a race.).
China is NOT one of them because China has plenty of ethnicities beyond the Han (or Han Chinese if you prefer).
Your NATIONALITY is where you were born and where you consequently identify as being a citizen of.
Your ETHNICITY refers to what ethnic grouping you belong to (Culture and language and some genetics), while your RACE is a more broader grouping that typically goes beyond national borders and is based on your genetic and evolutionary phenotypes that identify you as having descended from one of the main branches of human race groupings.

i work as a genealogist. there are some issues with the DNA testing in general. first of all, people are generally far more mixed than they expect because ethnicties are a social construct above anything else. yes, you find certain genetic markers that let you identify the ethnicity of someone. but you have to imagine it like a huge spectrum. DNA places you on a spot on that spectrum. but where exactly the "lines" between different ethnicities are drawn is completely socially constructed and has no biological basis what so ever. so, the problem these DNA tests have is that depending on where exactly you land on the spectrum, your result will of course be a bit different, yet they still have to group people together.
the other, far bigger, problem is the lack of historic data. there has been a HUGE amount of migration and intermixing all over the world at basically absolutely any time in history. so, migration streams matter a lot. and they are completely undervalued in DNA-genealogy. some major streams are taken into consideration but by far not everything.
to give you an example, i had a customer here in switzerland who had hungarian ancestors (which she knew of). her DNA test showed her quite a significant portion of DNA match with people on the eastern balkans. and she thought one of her ancestors must have come from bulgaria. but that's most likely not it. hungarians (magyars) originally stem from the step region in western asia. they were a nomadic tribe that ended up settling in the west. proto-bulgarians stem from the same region (wolga bulgaria in this case) and migrated towards the southwest (eastern balkans). so, if someone understands ancient migration streams, they would EXPECT bulgarians and hungarians to share certain genetic markers. so, while the results show that my customer has some relation to bulgarians, that doesn't mean her ancestors were bulgarians at all. it might just mean that they share some common ancestors in the nomadic homelands of western asia.
as you've seen in vivis results, different sources differ VERY heavily on how they place the exact same genetic sample. of course her sample can very easily be placed in the eastern asian region. but what exact genetic combination a source counts as "han" and what as "vietnamese" for instance can differ quite heavily. the lines will always be blurred.
in short: i think these DNA results should just be seen as a fun little information that shows you how all of us humans are really much more similar and connected than it often seems. they should serve as a mean to mentally break down the constricting lines between ethnicities we've constructed. that way they can have a very positive effect on us all

I personally also get mistaken a lot for look more like Japanese than Chinese. My Korean friends also think I look more Japanese/ Korean than Chinese. My last name origins also supposedly originated in Shandong and Manchurian border, even though my official ancestry is Anhui like Jackie Chan, but my grandfather said our origin is in Zhejiang. There is a town in Zhejiang that has a lot of people with my last name. My last name is very uncommon. According to Chinese website Baidu, my last name started appear in Shandong/ Manchurian border during Waring State period. It was a long name, suggesting non-Han origin. It was shortened later to one word to conform to standard Han Family.

There have been loads of foreigners and intermixing with the Chinese invading and bringing peoples into the Chinese Empire or barbarian invasions that resulted in a lot of mixing.

In south China before the Han people conquest of the Nan Yue was a multitud of small contries and federations. These people where known are the 100 yue. Some of them were austronesian people, some where speaking Tai-Kadaï languages (and maybe other language family like austroasiatic). These populations are highly related to Cambodian, Vietnames and Thai people, Depending of the area.
When the Han dynasty conquered the area many people fled. That's also the these people escaping the fall of Nan Yue that did help to buil de country of "Viet Nam". This admixture of your wife is probably more a proof that she has indigenous blood dating from before the Han people arrive.
