Here in Norway, part of the border is towards Russia. Here's the law: Piss towards the Russian border, and you get a hefty fine (if they see you - which they will, because it's under 24/7 surveillance). Another way to rack up fines, is to run a lap around the Three-Country Cairn, on the border between Russia, Norway and Finland. And the Finns, they give you a fine based upon a _percentage_ of your yearly income. Which is a great strategy if you're poor, but probably not so much if you're rich. ;)
Thanks for the cool info :) I'll throw in some Estonian trivia, we have a road that connects two villages and it goes through Russian territory. We can drive through Russia for a km or so without a visa, but cars are not allowed to stop on that road, it is heavily monitored and if you happen to have a car problem or something, Russian border forces will most likely abduct you and take you into Russia for interrogation.

Norway set up air defences, and asked the gunners to shoot at anything coming from the East. Except an SAS airplane had to make a turn to avoid weather, so it also came in from the East. The idiot gunner shot off 10 rounds before he was stopped. When they asked him why the fuck he shot at the SAS machine, he just answered, "But I was told to shoot at _anything_ coming from the East!"

Thanks for sharing your story. I agree that the town in Vietnam you visited could have learnt to speak Chinese, but the Chinese town on the border can also learn to speak Vietnamese. Also, it’s good to learn some key phrases from the language of the country you’re visiting. It’s much easier to enjoy visiting a country if you know about the culture and some of the language.
C-Milk, you and Prozzie have a chemistry that's off the charts. I was going to suggest that you compile all of your adventures into a book but somebody else has already suggested the same thing so it must be a good idea. You guys are a cross between Cheech and Chong and Redford and Newman of the Millennial Age. You could name your book "Asia's Underbelly (To hot not to handle)." You could make this video into a whole chapter called "Naughty in Nam." Both you guys are nice looking but who wants to settle for nice when you could become bonafided studs. Just joking C-Milk. Vivie might not go for that. All of your episodes are entertaining but let's face it, you've taught your viewers all kinds of crazy stuff about Asia nobody else has and some of it is actually useful. In 1984, my ex-wife and I were part of a small tour group that went from Macao through southern China, including Guangzhou. I was the only Gwei-lo (foreign barbarian in Cantonese). On one day, we were cruising through some farmland and I took some photos from the bus and the "tour guide" went apeshit because we were driving past a military base that had radar domes and other equipment. The driver pulled over and I handed over the film. Didn't get arrested, but every morning when I went out for a run, these two guys would try to follow me. They couldn't keep up the first couple of days, so they got a car to follow me. When we were taking the train back to Macao, the conductor locked the car where all of us were sitting. No bathroom, so it was a miserable ride. Finally made it to the border and I was so happy. Have never been back to the PRC and will never go back.
It was the entire video lmao, but yeah he really needs to get that checked. I had a friend I would bitch at constantly for messing with his junk- he would do it in public, right in front of me, in front of anyone. And when he finally got checked by a doctor it turned out he had an STI.
