As a native Siberian I enjoyed watching your video. You’re beautiful inside and out. To all native people of North and South America, Siberia, Mongolia, Central Asia = we’re all blood related ❤️
Your result is so beautiful! I didn’t realize such a pure bloodline still existed among our tribe. There is so much mixture. I got 76% and thought that was pretty good. But I have a lot other mixture too. Yours is amazing!! Yes, I’m jealous! Love you girl!!!
I've calculated my dna ancestry, and did find out that i'm 12.5% corean; 44.075% european and the rest of me is 43.425% mesoamerican. What a genetical mess.
You could definitely pass as a Filipina, but whatever your genetic makeup, you are stunningly gorgeous, and your husband is very fortunate to have you in his life!
I wonder if the small amount of Inuit and “Asian” DNA came from older ancestors who crossed the Ice Age land bridge from Asia into what is now Alaska. I know investigators of human migrations found common markers shared between a modern population of indigenous people in northeast Asia and the Inuit on the other side of what used to be the land bridge.
You're getting warmer. The problem is DNA is proof massive changes don't take millions of years - actual observations in other species (mammals and insects) shows major mutations can take place in 7 generations...
The DNA tests we buy aren't a fraction as sensitive as the tests that investigators have to use for migration research, so the test this lady did is unlikely to be sensitive enough to pick up the markers to say what happened thousands of years ago. Also, when you have a small percentage like 1 or 2% this is considered a trace amount and usually the company comes back after a few months to say that actually that nationality isn't in your dna after all.... Which doesn't mean that those migrations didn't happen, of course, just that this home dna test isn't evidence of it.
There probably is some connection. I'm Polynesian and we came through Taiwan and are spread out through the Pacific. I look more Mexican than her, and I don't have any connection in the america's.
@@Ernesto-i3t years ago, I read an article in a major mag, maybe Smithsonian or something, that did DNA on a north American indigenous people, sorry I cannot remember which one, and their DNA was exactly the same as a particular area of China. One of the tribe members even traveled to that area of China, and the first hour he was there, he saw an old woman in the street who looked exactly like his grandmother, same mannerisms and all.
Everyone from the Americas came from Asia. These results are kind of amazing actually. You can track the movement of your people from Asia through Canada all the way down the Americas this is awesome!
MesoAmerican = native American All native American on the America conitinent came from a single gene pool from about 26,000 to 35,000 years ago. They share the same gene as Asian from North Asia, such as Siberia, Mongolia, Northern China, some from middle Asia and East Asia region. In other words Native Americans are Asians. The migration from Asia continent to America continent was a slow process over thousands of years. There are some subtle differences to their look but they are all Asian. Similar story with Philippines and Indonesia. Mexicans who have native American blood are basically Asians who live on the America conitent. Mexicans and Asians are blood relative.
I think she is extremely attractive with an engaging and welcoming personality. So if you know a place where there are more women like her, don’t hold back tell us where specifically that is?
I think she might be Otomi or Mazahua mixed with Mixtec. Mazahuas are confirmed to have a Colombian and Peruvian origin. They also have a similiarity to people of NEPAL via the D1 haplogroup.
I think it’s so awesome that you’re 100% indigenous! Your family has really built your area into what it is today. I am proud to have my people be in my area since the 1600s but I was disappointed my parents’ DNA tests didn’t show any Native American - all Northern European :(
People think I look asian too but I'm latina. Latinos don't have a look despite the stereotypes people put on us. Your DNA results were incredible, you are a treasure!
You're not Latina tho. Latinas are literally people from Italy .80% of Mexicans have C2, B2 and D1 haplogroup in them, this would explain you're asian eyes not the 'Latin' European side. The Latino brand or label is a tribute to the persistence and continued potency of the Roman Empire's enduring legacy.. are you proud to be Roman-Italian? I'm proud to be Mexican first and not term pushed for me by Kissinger. Mexicans have C-Haplogroup which is from South east and Northeast asia. We also have B2 from Altiac from the Euro-asiatic regions of Russia. Some Mexicans like the Mixtec and Otomi and the Andean Peruvians carry D1 Haplogroup, this one is razy beause it's related to the JAPANESE Ainu. Kennewick man in Seattle was found and confirmed to be AINU Japanese and he was dated back to 6000BC , this would explain so many similiarities between Edo Mex Mexicans and Japanese ; our words, color theories, proverbs- dichos, foods etc. Some of our Nahuatl-Otomi words are also found in Russia through the Ket influence like Xochtli; Sochi Chiquitle. Theres also the Dene Caucasian(Uto-Aztecan) hypothesis that confirms this. You're only Latino/a if 80% of your features are strongly western european- meaning at least one parents(grand parent) hails from W.Europe. So if you're from Monterrey then yea you're a Latina but you will not hae Asiatic features like the Mexicans in Edo Mex. The majority of White Mexicans thats ancestry is from Iberia actually came from the 1930s under the migration of Franco. Vicente Fox, Gael Garcia Bernal all those novela stars; their grandparents were 1st generation Mexicans that arrived to Mexico in the 30s. But none of them have that 'Asian'/'Chino' look. Diaz Ordaz(President of Mexico during Tlateloclo masscare) is descended from Bernal Diaz and is also related to Porfiorio Diaz. None of them have the Chino look. Ana Gabriel is also half Chinese & Native and she passes for Otomi (Pre-Nahautl-Native Central Mexicans) and Lakota. .. Ana Gabriel looks Chinese. Lila Downs is half Mixtec-Native and half English but she doesn't carry the 'chino' look, instead she looks more Indian-hindi. Which proves that Otomi and Nahautl peoples are a descendant of the North East Eurasians and South East Asians. I've also found that first names in French Polyesia have similar Nahautl-Otomi names like Tepito, Tetuanui , . So the Austronesian link also exists. It's only the Americans with deep roots in Turtle Island that do.

That is so true and it’s crazy smh .. like I’m full Mexican and look at my skin ! lol I didn’t get that beautiful brown skin but it is crazy how we look so different and it goes way back too why
People fail to realize that most Mexican people are native Americans. And no not all are Aztec and Mayan decent. Before Europeans came to the Americas tribes roamed freely from what is now Canada, USA and Mexico.
Did you know there is a theory than eastern tribes have ancestors from Europe? The idea was that during the last ice age an ice bridge also formed between Europe and North America. The eastern tribes don't look as "Asian."
@@gsxss3741 the problem with the way of thinking at least in the US is they classify Mexicans as white and refuse to accept Mexicans as Native American even though the majority of Mexicans are not whites. It’s like saying you are from the USA therefore you are all white now. Regardless of how you look you will all now be classified as white. Makes no sense.
I think 1.1% is considered a trace result. Could very easily be a misreading. Only way to make sure is to get other people in your family to test! But these DNA companies very often group Asian and Native American together because of our genetic similarities (due to the way early people migrated) so it makes sense why you got that number :)
Yes - The trace amounts of Chinese, Vietnamese, and Inuit is very likely DNA picked up from Indigenous Americans' ancestral journey from Asia to the Americas through the Bering Strait. 23 and Me connects these two peoples through a category they call "Broadly East Asian & Indigenous American".
You are a Mayan Princess 🥰 You could definitely pass as Vietnamese woman, you remind me of some Vietnamese singers. I'm so glad you got to do the dna test! I am Vietnamese American but people have told me I look mixed, so I want to find out and take the test!! If your nana told you that you have a great grandparent that is Japanese, that could account for the 1.5% Asian that your test gave. 😇 You are so beautiful inside and out!! Your content is so refreshing to watch!!! 🙏 Thank You!!
Good you used two companies. I did not realize their testing was so diverse. As a person who is half Lebanese and half western European mix I appreciate your diversity. Keep up the good work in educating people that the purists are few and far between.
Everyone I’ve seen who has Native American ancestry, ends up with that small percentage of Asian. I think it’s still connected to the origins of Native Americans. We also had 1% Asian. Over time, it came back Filipino. I doubt this, and wonder if it’s because a lot of my cousins have taken the test, and they’re actually partially Filipino from their other side. The small percentages are up to the company’s interpretation of the data.
It happens the other way around too, Asian people get a small percentage of Native American, especially the Mongolians. If we consider that Ancestral Native American (Mesoamerican and South American) was 60% East Asian and 40% Ancient North Eurasian (a dissipated ancient European population that lived in Siberia), then the average Hispanic person really is about 20-30% East Asian and considering this girl is almost entirely Native, she will likely be 50-60% East Asian ancestry.
The so-called:" Native American" are Siberian Russians, Mongolians, and Asians that migrated to the Americas 20,000, 15,000, 10,000, and 5,000 years ago. These people mixed and created other groups of people constantly mixing up to the present time. Filipinos are mixed with Asians, Spanish, and Africans. Same with Hawaiians. and the Pacific Islands.
Hungarians come from Asia too, it could be matching you up with that 1% asian ancestry before the migration to the americas. Your first result showed Vietnam and China. Now, some modern hungarians share mitocondrial dna with certain chinese and vietnamese enthnic groups because of our asian origin, this could be reason why true ancestry matches you up with hungarian samples. True ancestry focuses on European ancestry (it is a swiss site), it isn't the best for Asia.
Hungarians speak a language that came from Asia (having come with the Magyars, who were Uralic/Ugric-speaking) but genetically they are mostly European (though many do have traces of Asian DNA). But the Huns were Asian/significantly Asian and were likely an Altaic/Turkic-speaking ethnicity originally from east central Asia.

@@starrynight1657 The statement that "we all came from Africa" doesn't really mean anything, especially when you take into account that the current indigenous Americans and Eurasians, owe their genetics, physical features and cultural traits not only to one single human species (homo sapiens, Africa) but to other human species that were native to Eurasia like the _homo neanderthalensis,_ which was a human species that naturally had fair skin and ultimately evolved, merged and inhabited in Eurasia, not Africa. There is a belief that native Americans migrated from Siberia across the Bering land bridge many many years ago. They are distant descendants of Asia. If you look at pictures of native Americans from a hundred plus years ago, they do look Asian. Also, DNA has been traced back. A woman known as Kolyma1, who lived in northeastern Siberia about 10,000 years ago, shares about two-thirds of her genome with living Native Americans.
This is pretty much he correct answer, we know from fossils of ancient Siberian’s migrating thru Beringia. Hence the epicanthic folds and dark skin as an ancestral trait.
Native Americans came in different waves. The Inuits came in last and are related to East Asians. But andeans and other groups have inhabited the region since at least 18500 thousand years, and it's weird that the oldest settlement in the Americas is in Chile and not in north America. 20 thousand years ago our planet was in the middle of an ice age, and temperatures around the poles were extremely cold, and even now they are frozen wastelands and harsh on human life, so the hypothesis that humans actually crossed the Bering land bridge is falling out of favor. Most likely they rafted all the way there following the coast line. Also at least one third of native Americans DNA traces back to Western Europe, according to this study.

From 1565 to 1815 (250 years) Spain ruled their Philippine colony through Mexico due to the shorter distance across the Pacific Ocean. Large sailing ships called galleons carried trading goods between Manila and Acapulco. Many Filipinos made their way to Mexico as sailors; fishermen and skilled craftsmen and established small Filipino communities along the Pacific coast. I bet a genomic map around Acapulco would reveal foci of Austronesian ancestry.
Before 1565 more than 20 thousand years ago, melanesian and polinesian nations sailed into the pacific coasts settling many cultures in what now called "Acapulco" . Spaniard influence is not relevant.

This is really cool. In Pre-Columbian times, archeologists theorize that sea trade was established between Mesoamerica and various Andreas civilizations, through which metallurgy was spread to Mexico. La Karencita, your DNA is literally is evidence of that Mesoamerica/Andean connection. Again, very, very cool.
Which archaeologist theorize this? I have never heard of such a thing and metallurgy in the Americas was for the most part used for decorative and religious artefacts not weaponry or for forging.
@@Fan_Made_Videos Off the top of my head? I have no idea, but if memory serves me correctly, based on what I have read previously Andean civilization achieved full metallurgy and used metals in art, as well as money and as weaponry in the form of axe/mace heads. And based on the metallurgical properties found in metal artifacts in Western Mexico, I have read theories that metallurgy was diffused into Mesoamerica from Andean trade links. It’s been several years since I have read this information, so whether or not it’s still considered viable is beyond my ability to say. I will try to find the source from which I read.
@India Noname As someone who is also of Native American descent, I was saying it was cool to see Karen’s DNA results. I am perfectly aware of the different forms of genocide perpetrated by the various European colonizers. I don’t, however, see how my original comment is anyway related. And please realize that while, yes, Native peoples are related to Asian peoples, Native Americans reached the Americas before the Asian ethnicities you mentioned developed. In most cases, besides the Inuit of Alaska, Native Americans were separated so long they became distinct but related groups from their Asian cousins. The same can be said for Polynesians. While I think it’s great to point out the connection between Asians and Native Americans, I don’t appreciate conflating both groups. Nor do I appreciate the conflation you are drawing between Africans and Polynesians, based on appearance; such simple classifications have been disproven with DNA analysis.

I wonder what your DNA result would be if you did a test w/ Ancestry. Thank you for sharing this information. I wonder how many people in Mexico also have the same heritage as you do.
You should try Ancestry or 21 and Me. I tried other sites such as My Heritage and I don't believe they are as accurate. Both my paternal grandfather and my maternal great grandmother were white, but My Heritage results did not reflect that whereas Ancestry did. Ancestry also broke down where exactly my indigenous roots are from, which are mostly from central Mexico. I knew I had Purepecha ancestry and my results were correct. I'd also like to add how beautiful you are!
That's because MyHeritage is not really well suited for Latin American customers. The "Mesoamerican and Andean" category is not pure native American, but mixed race. For some reason, they didn't bother to base this reference population on people of none or minimal non-native ancestry and instead chose individuals of mixed native-European ancestry, with a somewhat stronger native component (like the average Mexican or Peruvian). This girl is probably something like 70% native.
My initial guess, put you as Peruvian. Looking at the map, it would be some of your earliest ancestor. That means over time, your biological family line slowly moved north. Which means you having Mayan ancestry as well makes sense. You're initial ancestors, likely traveled island to island from Asia to the western South America region. From there your ancestry goes to Aztec to Mayan to Modern Mexico. That your genetic line (so fully near 100%) survived the collapse of both of those empires puts you at a good chance of having some type of royal blood among one or the other.
They tell me this all the time, even in Mexico, or Americans, everyone thinks that I look very "Korean" because of the influence of K-pop, in my family I am the only one who looks different. The curious thing about genetics is that my great-grandfather was Chinese, one of those who migrated to Mexico during the cultural revolution. And only I in my family have inherited certain traits. But my parents are super Mexican, my maternal grandmother is the daughter of Italian parents, so yes. My lineage is very strange.
After so many Centuries of interracial marriages, the majority of Mexicans are mixed according to DNA researches. Most Mexicans are biologically mestizo, primarily of European and Native American ancestry. From wikipedia: “A University College London study which included Mexico, Brazil, Chile and Colombia, conducted with each country's anthropology and genetics institutes, reported that the genetic ancestry of Mexican mestizos was 56 percent Native American, 37 percent European and five percent African, making Mexico (after Peru and Bolivia) the country with the highest Amerindian ancestry of the five sample populations.” Many Mexicans say, that Spaniards exterminated the native Americans or Indios, however the facts tell us that it has been the admixture over the Centuries that makes difficult to find nowadays pure Native Americans or pure white people in Mexico. Nice TH-cam channel, congrats! 🤗

Yes you looked Indigenous from the get go in your previous video so I followed the link here. As a Native Artist, I lived in New Mexico & saw many similarities among Native peoples. Many Native Americans live & intermarry in New Mexico. Filipinos have married into Arizona & West Coast tribes. One friend is Jemez Pueblo but looks like a Japanese actor. Another is a Navajo model but she is spitting image for a Chinese woman model on a calendar in our favorite Asian restaurant. The Spanish brought Tlaxcalans & other Natives North as "workers" or slaves, many ended up in El Paso after the Pueblo Revolt. Some of my Native people back in New York look like Indigenous people in New & Old Mexico. Our Iroquois white corn is a very old strain from Old Mexico. There are actually very few "Spaniards" in NM, they are predominantly mixed now, Mestizo, Genizaro, Chicano but some still call themselves Spanish. The DNA tests vary as you found out. They also can be biased as you found out. Native peoples traded & migrated everywhere before the Europeans & it was a different kind of movement after 1492 Contact, often as refugees & slave workers. The Amazon DNA strain is an older bloodline of migration I believe. The Native peoples walked up & down the Americas for thousands of years. I agree you are a Toltec Princess!
I had a friend from Taos, NM. Their family looked very Native yet they went by Spanish. What kills me is the prejudice that comes with that. I have family frome Mexico and they all look, Native, Asian and White. I always ♥ embrace the mixture. It's beautiful whether you are 100% or a mix. I've always felt Native and i don't look Native💖☮🤷♀️
@@whatta1501 I have many friends & associates in NM and have met & worked inter-acted with great "Hispanic" artists & writers. Many if not most who appreciate, respect & honor their Native heritage & connections. Genizaro is a term describing the Mestizo or Mixed peoples & communities who founded their own villages actually in between Native Pueblos & Spanish Towns where they worked the exchange between the cultures for trade & commerce. See it in the MATACHINE Dances. The whole Day of the Dead - Dia de los Muertos - is viewed thru Indigenous eyes as much & really more than the Christian. Halloween the European pagan celebration, Day of the Dead or Dead Feast in North America & All Souls Day got all merged in practice. Catholic Church must've founded All Souls & All Saints Days to account for the ceremonies that were not going away.
Most native american groups did Not come from N asia via the Bering Strait. It will be some time before this gets into grade 4 to grade 9 social studies textbooks. Some college classes are finally teaching this, but its from instructor research and not yet in established college textbook series. Very few early migrants came from the Bering Strait, it wasn't frozen long enough for much groups to travel through, and there was not enough food resources to support island hopping from one iced-over island to the next. The majority of indigenous groups came from various waves of movement from the south pacific, they were polynesian. Several non-asian groups also made it the CA coast, perhaps related to the aborigines and Maori based on skull shape, but they fizzled out. Either they returned or they died out. The ancient peoples of Siberia and those of polynesia are very different people, its practically a world apart and the two groups never ever intermixed before colonial times. Will be interesting to see what a gene-flow analysis shows for more detailed migratory patterns.
The whole issue with the racial classification of the Mexicans indeed all Indigenous people is purely political. Mexico is no more diversified than any other nation yet Europeans are still Europeans, Asians are still Asians and Blacks are still blacks only Mexicans can"t be who they are. Africa was colonized by Europeans, Asians were also and they are still who they are. Doesn't that sound strange to you? The father of Mexican education said: "Although Mexico has been Spanish for four hundred years, the nation remains Indigenous in blood and soul". This is true of the Philippines who were under the Spanish for three hundred years and 50 years under the US. Still look Asian don"t they? Vietnam also looks Asian too don"t they after French occupation. This is all about the fear of Pan-Indianismo because the Indigenous people are the only ones under American colonialism. Africa is Free, Asia is Free Indigenous people are not! The Latinos are Spanish, Portuguese, Italians, French and Romanians and have nothing to do Racial or cultural with Indigenous people. Remember - Mexico did not speak Spanish as a nation until a few years after the second world war. Yesterday, today and tomorrow Mexico continues to be an Indigenous nation, be proud of that and of your ancient civilization. Viva Mexico!!
It depends, as Mexican I can say that all the indigenous groups are a minority right now. Although part of our heritage is from an indigenous background, we don't identify culturally as a part of a indigenous groups. One of the reasons of the diminished numbers in indigenous groups population is that when we were colonized the inmune system of our ancestors didn't know how to fight against smallpox and other diseases brought by the people from the ancient world. Being said that, the amount of people after that Epidemie were just a part of the people that used to live in the territory just a fraction. That's the reason why many slaves were brought and why they didn't use indigenous populations as slaves. In addition, maybe before the second world war there were more people who speak an indigenous language, but Spanish is the lingua franca of the country. It has been the language of the government and education. Maxican Spanish is the language of the majority of the population at least in the last 200-180 years. I'm talking at least because as far as I know Spanish was widespread since the territory were the former New Spain. It's a my way of seeing it, as a mexican. And the history that were taught to us. I'm not attacking you. I'm just sharing what I learned. And it's probable that You and I are misunderstanding something that we were taught. ✌🏼
Sorry but you're wrong. Dead wrong in fact. Other people like Asians and Africans are very well known to be what they are but here in the continent of america, I am told by a white woman that being a "mexican" means I should leave "her county". I don't know who you are but to Mexican and south American natives it is very important to START getting across that we are native Americans too! People know Asians are Asians and blacks are blacks. But. People don't know that brown Mexicans are native Americans. And that's the problem. So please let us uplift our indigenous side. Its very important
I get your motive, but Asia and Africa are much bigger continents than as they appear on a traditional map. Theres thousands and thousands of different cultures and phenotypes. Aboriginal asians to the south / south east asia and pacific are also melanesian (black) and mixed in with different tribes in south east asia and pacific also. Japan and Taiwan have aboriginal tribes that look different than the general population also. Not all Africans are darker skinned even if you look into Khoisan in South Africa. Madagascar has had a mixture of AUstronesian and look more indonesian. The world is full of indigenous people that were affected one way or another through colonialism and globalization. Colonialization and Latino culture created hundreds of years of cultural loss and identity..but indigenous / brown people still are in fact a majority in south east asia / pacific and americas. we're not going anywhere!
Again, we as mexicans know there are other races in Mexico. The fact that we uplift out indigenous side doesn't affect that. We want to uplift out indigenous side just let us do it its not hurting anyone. Its doing the total opposite, its helping more than you could ever know. Especially since the Americas have been FARRR more colonized than any other CONTINENT. White usa people tell me to leave "their country" for goddnes sake! There is a clear problem in need of solving. 500 year long plroblem
Using the fact that some old world ethnicities are mixed is a very poor excuse on your part. why shouldn't we celebrate and hammer on the fact that we are proud mesoamerican native Americans. We have every right to all things considered
Lol your husband! Karencita, I’m from Northern Mexico and I also been told that I look Cambodian or Vietnamese. I’ve been tempted to do a DNA test, maybe I will! Gracias me reí mucho y están padrísimos tus videos
DNA analysis has shown that the ancestors of indigenous peoples in the Americas (North to South) crossed the frozen land bridge from Asia, so for that reason many of us look Asian. We are related. When I was a baby/toddler, many Koreans asked my parents if I was adopted from Korea. LOL
I love this. Thank you for sharing. My son's dad is from Ecuador and I am of European descent and my son, and his sister look Asian also! I want to do my son's DNA because I don't know alot about his dad's side of the family.
I just keep in mind that a person's DNA may only reflect one side of their parents DNA. You may get only the maternal DNA and not the paternal DNA or vice versa. What I find interesting about the results is it dismisses the scientific belief that we came from Asia through the Alaskan Straits. It also dismisses the white man' s belief that all people that look alike are one and the same when the test results say the opposite. Even the term 'Indian' doesn't really apply to us because we are not from India nor any other part of the planet. Our ancestors said our peoples inhabited Turtle Island since the dawn of time. They said we never traveled from anywhere else and your test results prove our ancestors right. Very interesting. Next time you get mistaken for being Asian just tell whoever does so that they are our cousins. Congrats on learning your background.
You look like my best friends, whose parents come from Philippines. Their father is aware that he does have some Spanish ancestry. You could easily pass for Filipino. Also, my friend from college is all Mexican, but he could also pass for Filipino as well.

You can do all the DNA testing you want, most of it will confirm Spanish heritage. my friends which Spanish surnames appear Filipino, but can determine at least one Spanish ancestor Who lived in the 19th century, according to their family tree. in those days, Philippines provided new opportunities that not exist in Europe, wher wealth was based on inheritance. Hello - I think there is absolutely nothing unusual about indigenous Americans like yourself looking Asian! If you know history, that would be seen as perfectly normal! That is because the first Indigenous Americans actually migrated from East Asia. They crossed over from the land bridge Beringia. So, the first Indigenous Americans were all actually East Asians, and it was only later over a matter of time that their skin tone changed slightly, and they also became heavier set due to differences in diet, etc. To this day therefore, many indigenous Americans continue to have some East Asian features, which would also explain your own appearance. By the way, you do look beautiful! Thanks for the informative video, and sharing the information.
You remind me of myself. My whole life I just thought I was “white and black”. I finally took a DNA test and it came back mainly from Scandinavia, West Africa and Iberia ! 😲
Oh, you are special Karen. Glad you got your results. I did mine and as more people do theirs it seems they refine the results so over the past 3 years mine have changed slightly. I was adopted and I found 8 half siblings after doing my DNA test. Take care.

IMO you can blend in perfectly with any of the Southeast Asian and South American countries. I think you said something similar to that too. and btw I also got 1.6% Indigenous Amazonian...
I used to spend a lot of time in Mexico. During my first stay I was confused because so many South-East Asians seemed to be there. But actually it's usually easy to tell Asians and Asian looking Mexicans apart. South-East Asians have usually very different noses and, depending on the region, also very different teeth. I also had the impression that the Nahua populations looked less Asian compared to the Mayan or Olmec populations. Considering the Huastecos didn't live too far from Tula, there might have been some mix during the last centuries.
Im Mexican and look Asian as well. I took a dna test and I am 39% Indigeouns Mexican and 33% Spanish 7% Filipina 😊 everything else is from Basque and Middle East Edit : yours is beautiful! I love it, yours is pure Mexican native and that is awesome 🤩 since you get to find out more about your roots

Que cool! E interesante! Saludos

Funny. Years ago I brought up the correlation to Chinese people while in China. They smiled and scuffed at my suggestion unveilievingly.
No. Many people are more descended from Spaniards.
MesoAmerican = native American
All native American on the America conitinent came from a single gene pool from about 26,000 to 35,000 years ago.

People think I look asian too but I'm latina. Latinos don't have a look despite the stereotypes people put on us. Your DNA results were incredible, you are a treasure!
Technically Native Americans are Asian.

I think you're probably right. It's very interesting!

Hola
That's because MyHeritage is not really well suited for Latin American customers. The "Mesoamerican and Andean" category is not pure native American, but mixed race. For some reason, they didn't bother to base this reference population on people of none or minimal non-native ancestry and instead chose individuals of mixed native-European ancestry, with a somewhat stronger native component (like the average Mexican or Peruvian). This girl is probably something like 70% native.
@@Ayazidas I’m Mexican and no she definitely looks 96% Native. If she was only 70%, the strong native features would show less
Wow, thanks for sharing this. I assumed you were very indigenous. Great to solve the mystery!
Karencita, thanks for sharing, this was super fun. This encouraged me to finally take a DNA test.
After so many Centuries of interracial marriages, the majority of Mexicans are mixed according to DNA researches.
Most Mexicans are biologically mestizo, primarily of European and Native American ancestry.
From wikipedia:
“A University College London study which included Mexico, Brazil, Chile and Colombia, conducted with each country's anthropology and genetics institutes, reported that the genetic ancestry of Mexican mestizos was 56 percent Native American, 37 percent European and five percent African, making Mexico (after Peru and Bolivia) the country with the highest Amerindian ancestry of the five sample populations.”
Many Mexicans say, that Spaniards exterminated the native Americans or Indios, however the facts tell us that it has been the admixture over the Centuries that makes difficult to find nowadays pure Native Americans or pure white people in Mexico.

So I guessed right. I KNEW it! Native American woman are so pretty🤗 btw what’s your skincare routine?
LOL
Yes, the Bering Strait land bridge of centuries ago.
This is news to you? You didn't go to school?
Some mexicans are born with "mongolian spot" as well, which proves the Bering Strait theory even more factual
The indigenous people of Alaska and Canada sailed over about 4000 years ago.

You may get
only the maternal DNA and not the paternal DNA or vice versa. What I find interesting about the
results is it dismisses the scientific belief that we came from Asia through the Alaskan Straits. It
also dismisses the white man' s belief that all people that look alike are one and the same when the
test results say the opposite. Even the term 'Indian' doesn't really apply to us because we are not
from India nor any other part of the planet. Our ancestors said our peoples inhabited Turtle Island
since the dawn of time. They said we never traveled from anywhere else and your test results prove
our ancestors right. Very interesting. Next time you get mistaken for being Asian just tell whoever
does so that they are our cousins. Congrats on learning your background.
You look like my best friends, whose parents come from Philippines. Their father is aware that he does have some Spanish ancestry. You could easily pass for Filipino. Also, my friend from college is all Mexican, but he could also pass for Filipino as well.
There's less than 5% of Filipinos with Spanish ancestry.
@@meltednostrilsbornwithoutn781 my friends’ parents are from Ilocos Norte, but have a Spanish surname. My father in law had a Spanish surname, he was from Pangasinan. My mother in law was from Ilocos Norte, and her surname was Italian. Also have other friends whose ancestors are Chinese, who have lived in P I for generations. Philippines is a lot more cosmopolitan than most of Asia.
@@redrust3 Who cares ? What's that have to do with what I said?
@@redrust3 I hate when people bring up having a "Spanish surname", that means you were colonized, it doesn't mean you're mixed with Spanish blood. LIKE I SAID less than 5% of Filipinos have Spanish blood. There's a thing called DNA now that proves things.
@@meltednostrilsbornwithoutn781 In Philippines, as with most of the nations, family names are paternal. Philippines was colonized I spent hundreds of years ago. Man who left Spain married local women, resulting in so many Spanish surnames. Most of my friends are aware of their Spanish heritage. Seems to be really widespread, a confirmation of Filipino history. Undeniable. Someone to North America, perhaps South America, or even Africa. Others were too undeveloped countries like the Philippines. none of my friends denies their Spanish heritage, it’s just part of who they are.
The most important thing is that you are beautiful outside and inside, proud of your heritage 👍
I really enjoyed your video and I’m willing to get my dna test done soon. Thank you ✊🏾
I’m 1/2 Native American/1/2 white and she looks more Canadian Native but her color is prettier. She gets some sun
Sometimes we can figure out how we have certain dna, most of the time we can't. My big surprise was having Asian dna. I am black but have eyes like you. I have central american indiginous, not surprised. Was always told about native american ancestors.
Thanks for the informative video, and sharing the information.
wow, so native in our continent that is heavily mixed, that´s amazing!
Her skin tone is reddish brown the indiegenous amerindians are called the red race! whereas asians chineses are.yellowish
Te has ganado una suscriptora nueva, me encanta tu contenido 💛🔥
You remind me of myself. My whole life I just thought I was “white and black”. I finally took a DNA test and it came back mainly from Scandinavia, West Africa and Iberia ! 😲
Yeah white and black
Lol, that is white and black. Literally.
What percent of each?
Y'all got me 😂😂 but yeah that is black and white fam
Y’all got me cracking up 😂
I saw a video before, the Indians in South America are indeed very similar to the Southeast Asians
Oh, you are special Karen. Glad you got your results. I did mine and as more people do theirs it seems they refine the results so over the past 3 years mine have changed slightly. I was adopted and I found 8 half siblings after doing my DNA test. Take care.
8? 😳
@@albertov137 yep 8!
I dont want to even look my.. i just go with the lady or the men wrote is not where you were from but is where you re now..because were alot fight and to get where we are now.. yall should listen to farrel friend songs( they say they came to far to go back )
IMO you can blend in perfectly with any of the Southeast Asian and South American countries. I think you said something similar to that too. and btw I also got 1.6% Indigenous Amazonian...
I took a My Heritage DNA test and I got English 53% Azores Islands Portugal 26.4 % Irish Scottish Welsh 8.9 % Scandinavian 7.6 % East European 4.1 %.
Mayans do look asian
They all have shovel shape teeth and edar genes.
you would pass as a Yazzie here on Navajo Land
Im Mexican and look Asian as well. I took a dna test and I am 39% Indigeouns Mexican and 33% Spanish 7% Filipina 😊 everything else is from Basque and Middle East
Edit : yours is beautiful! I love it, yours is pure Mexican native and that is awesome 🤩 since you get to find out more about your roots
AncestryDNA has subregions of Mexico and they have genealogical records that help trace lines. They also have the most dna testers database. I would test with them.
Que cool! E interesante!
Thank you so much for taking this test and sharing the results. Perhaps the DNA test is recognizing BOTH sides of your family coming through the bering strait. That's why South East Asia and Inuit appear in your results. I just ordered four different tests for my my parents and sibling to take. Maybe your mom can take the test. Whatever is the difference between you and your Mom may come from your dad's side. Also, if anyone from your dad's side has taken then same test, they may show up as a relative of yours. Can't wait for our tests to arrive in L.A.!
