Great video. I live here in Colorado and love it when foreigners have the ambition to come and really experience the beauty of the land instead of just walking around the ski town centers with a million other tourists.
Jonas M I recognized part of that as the rainbow trail at the top of Monarch pass. Great ride!! BTW here in Colorado...Elk are Elk and Moose are Moose...we have both
Hi Scott. Yeah, thats the trail, really good! I think the confusion about the moose elk depends on where you are from :-) From Wiki: "Alces alces is called a "moose" in North American English, but an "elk" in British English. That same word "elk" in North American English refers to a completely different species of deer, the Cervus canadensis, also called the wapiti"
This is not your everyday mountain biking video. It puts life in perspective and makes you appreciate whats really important in life. Getting out and enjoying God's amazing creation, spending time with family and friends, and doing something you love. Thanks for sharing very inspirational!
It is amazing what billions of years of geological processes can do :) Combine that with billions of years of evolution to give me a body I can physiologically ride a bike with and it's a good time to be alive. Amazing to think we slithered out of the ocean millennia ago. What a world...
Nice video. Captures Colorado perfectly. Born and raised in CO. You've made me feel like I underappreciate my own home haha just from how beautiful this video captures it
I've watched this several times over the past 2 years and send it to others to try to get them excited to do it...no takers so I may have to do the whole thing on my own. I just rode Kenosha pass to Breckenridge today and it wasn't the most secluded portion but its nice.
I've been a mountain biker for almost 25 years and every time I watch this it reminds me of why I love the sport so much. It's a great video to watch if you are a lover of outdoors and a MTB rider. You guys have made this one of my bucket rides I have to do before I die. Just love it guys great job!
dont forget to put the subtitles the video is amazing from far the best i have seen on ytb this is what youtube was made for!!! thank you again i went back to mountain biking after this vid what an amazing word we live in
Hi Guys - Just came across this video. Glad you all survived! Last we saw you, the chain had broken and you were having to push/carry one of the bikes up the last 40 miles to Durango.
Hi. Yeah, that was me. Thank for for the help and time you gave us! The rear derailleur was all gone, but I did manage to get set it up as a single speed, so we arrived in Durango on schedule :-)
Thank you for taking the time and effort to produce such a wonderful and professional looking video of your adventure. Great job and thanks for the imagery and inspiration!
So mesmerizing.... As Hemmingway put it, “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them.”
This video is a small diamond in youtube s universe. Amazing trip combined with wonderfull editing! Thank you for sharing your adventure with us. Keep riding!
This could be the best video ever made of biking the Colorado Trail. Also, I noticed that you guys packed everything on your back, which I think is by far a better option than all these guys you see that weigh the bike down with gear. Well done all the way around!
Hello. Thanks for the feedback :-) I agree, we dont like too many things rambling around on the bike, but had to be really minimalistic on gear to pull it off :-)
Great video, Colorado is my home and I appreciate how you provided such a wonderful view of this part of the world. Photography was excellent. Thank you!
You guys did such a good job putting this video together. I keep coming back to it time and time and again. I hope to experience this with my 2 young sons someday. So inspiring!
Hi Jake. Wow, thank you, it means a lot! I have to say you are lucky if you can have such a experience with your sons, I dont think to many people will have that opportunity. Good luck :-)
This is a great video! I caught it through my TV and it was like watching a professional made film. One of the best bike videos I've ever seen and you really highlight the CT. Well done!
Old video, but I must agree with you. I'm extremely biased, however, as I have lived in Colorado my whole life. Good to see that you all got to experience this adventure.
Great video, I really like the way you filmed it, It gives a great perspective of the beauty of the places and your journey. This is one of my favorite mtb videos and channel. Thank you for sharing your adventure with us 👍
Jonas M you're welcome. I much prefer this type of filming than gopro chest mount wich now I can barely watch, this requires more time, work, eye for scenery and framing. All the videos are epic and big challenges.
Loved it guys. I've ridden the whole CT several times, and you captured it so well. Congrats on a great trip, hope you come back to the US to see more!
Amazing video! Very inspiring. My first thought after watching it was "man, I wonder what they had in their backpacks..."--and then saw the gear list link. Awesome info.
I can't believe you edited this whole trip into a little over 12 minutes. I have to do this trail soon. I have no excuses, can you believe I live close by it too? On my bucket list...
Thanks Mark. About the elk moose comment, Jakob got it the wrong way around. But if I got it right, your moose is our elk, but you also got your own elk. Am I right? :-) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moose en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elk
I was trying to decide whether to do this or not this summer and your video made up my mind. I'm certainly going! Did you guys have issues with camera battery? Were you ever able to stop to charge up batteries or just bring extra?
Hi Derek! Nice, it's an incredible experience. I brought with me two batteries, and that was enough, charged them up whenever I had the chance. Maybe bring three or a small power charger if you use the camera a lot :-)
Man Colorado is beautiful! You guys did a great job of capturing that in this video. I would love to start mountain biking, but have no idea what gear to buy. Can you guys do a video on mountain bikes?
Hi. The new Nobby Nic tyre was the dominant tire on the trip. We used the Hilleberg Anjan 3, check out my gear list from the trip in the description :-)
Hi Joseph. For equipment, check out my gear list in the description. About map, the Colorado trail databook works great if you do some research first, it has bicycle specific info. www.shop.coloradotrail.org/Colorado-Trail-Databook-6th-Edition-DATABOOK6.htm
Simply awesome! Jonas, do you have the information about the trip? Like, do you have to ask for permission somewhere, places to stay/eat when not camping, gpx of the trail? I'm really interested in doing something like this!
Hello Eduardo. Check out www.coloradotrail.org/ Buy the book and you will have maps and all the info you need :-) You do not need permission, but you can not ride in the national parks :-/
Great video. I live here in Colorado and love it when foreigners have the ambition to come and really experience the beauty of the land instead of just walking around the ski town centers with a million other tourists.
I can not agree with you more! Being alone out there for several days was fantastic!
This is so damn good! 12 Days, holy moly!
BKXC HI
Dude, you should do a video on this, the whole thing. It's crazy amazing.
BKXC u gotta do it dude!

Thank you for the kind words :-)
It is amazing what billions of years of geological processes can do :) Combine that with billions of years of evolution to give me a body I can physiologically ride a bike with and it's a good time to be alive. Amazing to think we slithered out of the ocean millennia ago. What a world...
Nice creation, but "gods" really? your delusional.
Yes, really. Nihilism sucks the life out you. *you're*

Hi Martin.
Sorry for the delay, we did this trip the last week of June and the first in July.
Thanks so much for sharing - I'm planning on doing it either this year or next would you have some resource to recommend, Map, equipment, ...?
Hi Joseph.
