I have looked at numerous tutorials on pot holders, with putting the binding on, yours is the best and easiest to follow, I made 4 pot holders and 2 casserole hot pad today, and the binding was perfect, Thank you so much.
Appreciate your kindness showing me how to make a pot holder.it's so cute.thank you. I was always scared to make one but you are a good teacher and l could follow you thank you so much.
To sew the button on with the machine, position the button and place a piece of clear sticky tape over the button to hold it. Using 0 stitch length, set zig zag to width of holes in button. Hand crank the first couple of stitches to make sure needle doesn’t hit the button. Use a clear plastic foot. Then do more stitches to hold it in place. Tie off threads to finish, remove tape. Done! I hope this helps.
You did a fabulous teaching job. I think I'll add an applique design for one corner. Doing a set for all the holidays this way with holiday or novelty prints, oh yeah... You inspire me to get busy and quit just playing with scraps with my miniature stuff. Starting Christmas presents in July is perfect. Can make matching placemats and table runners to go with the potholders for the table or bar area. I could go on and on... Thank you for this motivational project. You are a fantastic teacher. Subscribed and will check out your Facebook group and your other videos. Oh and coloring books make excellent applique patterns. Just need to add your seam allowances. God Bless you and Thanks again. Love your potholder! You popped up as I was, literally, sitting at my machine making potholders!!! Lol I’m cutting the backing fabric so it can be used as binding - 1st time to do this! (scary)
I like how you ended the binding by tucking it under. Would be much handier for small projects. I just subscribed to your channel. Greetings from British Columbia, Canada. 👋😃🇨🇦
Attaching a button: Drop the feed dogs. Position the material and button where you want it under the foot that can be used with a Zig Zag stitch. Slect a Zig Zag Stitch Work with the stitch to make it wide enough to clear both button holes by moving the wheel back and forth by hand until you have it right. Now sew it on, Clip threads after button is attached, 4 to 6 times across button. (lowering the feed dogs keeps the material and button from moving) Hope this helps. Give it a practice try once or twice and you will be an expert!
Do you find that just the one of each batting inside is enough for heat not to pass through? I usually add another cotton batting layer but would love to get rid of the bulk if not necessary.
Very nice project; I never would have thought of using a button to cover the end of the loop. It's hard to watch you push that needle without a thimble. I cannot hand sew without one; I've poked myself too many times in the past, and decided that ain't for me.

Your instructions are so clear. I appreciate that since I am teaching myself how to quilt. Thank you for sharing.
I really appreciate your comment. I always hope I'm being clear, but you never really know how it comes across. 🙃
Appreciate your kindness showing us how to make these thank you🌟
Using a glue stick to hold down the binding ..Works a treat..thanks for the lesson..🇨🇦
Such a pleasing potholder, the small print fabrics and how you incorporated dark and light prints with the colorful prints.😊

Wow, this is genius!
That's how I do it too!
That is so nice! I have so many ideas swirling around in my head now. Thank you!! ❤😊
Taking a quick photo of how you want the squares positioned often helps avoid being muddled

Nice! I have done the rolled backing/binding before. Don't be too scared. It's not bad
Love! I plan to make a larger one for my glass stove top .
Smart!!
Love how you did the binding. Beautiful potholder (hotpad😄)!
Thanks so much!

Which friction pens do you get? I have had some issues with my recent purchases. Would love some recommendations
Great job! Thanks

I LOVE YOUR SMALL PRESSING MAT!! When you have a sec, will you share where you got it please?
This turned out so cute! Can’t wait to make this.
Thanks so much Kimberly! Let me know if you need any help!
Did you notice that your stitching lines match the lines in the candy cane stripe? Very cute!!
I didn't! Haha, thanks for pointing that out!
Great video!!

So cute! Thank you
Where did you purchase your wooden buttons?
Love it!
Lovely! Sorry, I missed the kind of batting you used.
Looks like a layer of insulbrite and cotton batting
Yep! Just cotton batting and Insulbrite
If you use a walking foot you eould eliminate the puckers and wonky lines, just a suggestion not a complaint.
Hi-I can’t find the fabric prep video either-could someone direct me? Thanks!!
How much would these sell for?
Nice.

Where is fabric prep quide?i checked under video in note section but wasnt there
Do you back stitch each square?
I don't, because the seam will be crossed by an intersecting seam when it's all finished. But you certainly could! Ain't no harm in extra security
Как долго Вы "мучели" бедную прихватку.
Love it!
