I love all your videos. The filming of your sewing machine and your hands are so perfect, the camera goes intuitively to what is helpful to see. I’ve sewn many years and there’s something new I didn’t know every time I’ve watched.❤️💕👍
This s one project I was looking for for a few gifts for family and friends. Very detailed. I've been sewing for only a few months and as a beginner I thank you
You are my favorite instructor you’re awesome clear precise measurements and if you’re not precise you add it on the screen which is easy to read great teamwork guys keep it up! Have a merry Christmas!
I'm so happy you showed in detail how to make the loop. I was really struggling to make the loop this way. Now that I see how you sewed it down, I can try again and it should be a lot easier. Thank you Sherrill!! 😊
I love the pot holder. The video was great and very understandable. Thank you for showing how to make it. Praying your daughter is doing well. I know she was having her baby this month.
Hi Kim. I’ve been sewing for decades , and this Lovely Lady Cheryl, can still teach this old dog new tricks! She has great ideas you can build on. When I get an itch to stitch, I check back through her videos for any afternoon project. Almost any one of them can be made seasonal, and personalized. Best of everything to you! God Bless.
JUst beautiful.I like the beginner projects. Since I am starting again, are their places where I can being my machine to get a tune up. I have an old singer from the 80's and I seem to have different issues with it. I want to start fresh with a good working machine. I am 63 yo and have been away from machine sewing for many many years. I really want to get back into it. I already made an area where I will sew and have plenty of faabric with all the tools I need. Of course I will start with small projects once I get my machine checked out. Thanks for all you do! Just love love your channel!
Hello Sherrill! This was absolutely the best tutorial on the potholder/towel combo! The fabrics are beautiful! Care to share where you purchased the fabrics from? I’d also like to know what sewing machine you’re sewing with? Thanks again for a great tutorial! Have a great week!
Hi ! I love to sew quilts, but im hoping santa will be nice to me an deliver me some fabric (xmas pattern material ) to me this xmas ..Merry Christmas 🎄
Thank you for your video. Loved it. Question, with the towel, you don’t sew the bottom together? Just leave forming like a pocket. I haven’t tried it yet, just curious for when I do. Love the look!
I noticed you were stitching over your pins. I keep hearing people say not to. Back in the day, like the 1970s, I use to sew as a teenager all the time and I sewed over my pins with no problem. What is the rule of thumb nowadays. I'm just starting to sew after 45 - 50 years. I also love your husband Manny...he reminds me of how my father use to act around my mother.
Hi Sharon. There are no rules. If you sew over pins you risk breaking a needle. Sometimes the fabric shifts/stretches and that is why I sew over the pins. If the fabrics is shifting a lot, then I will use a walking foot to keep the fabric layers flowing evenly when stitching. Glad you liked the pot holder and towel set tutoriall. Thanks for watching💗and happy sewing😍
how did you attach the bottom of the towel to the deco fab? does it make like a pocket? does it curl up after washing? Maybe, I missed something, i will re watch. lol

Thank you for a great tutorial...I have a quick question...should you pre-wash the towel prior to adding the decorative edge?
He Heather. Whenever possible I would prewash all your fabrics and towels. Stay safe. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.
The triangles which are cut off in the snowballing process can be seen into HST's, squared up and then made into a four patch second potholder.
Hi Freda. Thanks for the tip. Thanks for watching💗 and happy sewing😍
I like the video, it looks beautiful!😊😊😊
Very nice video. What company did you get your pins from ? Mine are so dull. Thank you
Hi Cyndy. My straights are dull also. It is hard to find good straight pins. Stay safe, and happy sewing.

I think I missed something. Was the square piece removed from the binding to reduce bulk?
Hi Dale. Yes it was. Stay safe. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.
Sherrill you are such an awesome teacher. May I ask where you obtained your fabric for the pot holder and towel border? It is beautiful.
Hi Terri. I purchased the fabric at Joann Fabrics & Crafts. 😀

Hi Lynn. The decorative fabric is only stitched onto the towel on the top edge and 2 sides. Stay safe. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.
