I am suprised Sutan didn't eat all the chocolate. Hehehe! She has become so well manered! And, I also think I've tried it in a mochi because it was the filling. I reccomend you make it. It is smooth, sweet, and silky.

I really appreciate that Moe shows that it's normal to get frustrated when your child is just behaving like a child. From her taking so long to crack the eggs and losing focus and yet Moe is still so patient. It's very comforting to watch.
I was about to say that's the first time I've ever seen Sutan refuse food...only she was faking for a big comedic reveal. Her arsenal of expressions is growing every week and she has a natural timing for comedy. She must be the life of the party at her nursery school.

I see Moe’s patience while sutan cracks the eggs. It’s so tough to be a mom. Kuddos Moe you really inspire me i mean all the moms out there!!!
What I love so much about this channel is how Moe is so controlled and formal. She's planned out everything in advance including what she wants to say. Most cooking shows are like that. But Sutan is like a force of nature. She brings the unexpected into every video. With her comments and hilarious faces. Her unbridled energy. She takes a normal cooking show and amps it up a 100 times more. This mother and daughter combo is so loveable and endearing that you can't not like it. Long live Kimono Mom's Kitchen. You allow her to change moods with such great transitions allowing her not to get sucked in be the negative, it's amazing. Your skill in the kitchen is beautiful!
oh my gosh, I believe I had tried this treat once in my life, literally in the first or second grade. I had a Korean/Japanese teacher and frequently shared and introduced us to her cultures through snacks, art and stories. I would sit with her during recess and drink green tea, which she made from matcha and the fancy whisk. On rainy days we would watch studio ghibili movies and it was my 2nd immersion into Japanese culture that made me fall in love.
All this to say, one day she brought on of these "cakes" to our class for a celebration and we each had like a fraction of a piece to share among 40 people. As with many of the other things, most of the class rejected it for its unique taste/texture but I was so in love, it was absolutely perfect to me. We had such a small piece though and the rowdiness from the class kind of distracted from the experience, so I never knew what it was called or where she got it from. For years since then, have I been looking for this! I have mistakenly thought it was a matcha roll cake because of the green color, and creamy texture from my memory but that was not it. When I would describe it to others, they'd think I was talking about a roll cake! Haha, also I am from Los Angeles, so the little bakeries that have sprung up around here use that aesthetic a lot but I was still not convinced that was what I had in the 2nd grade.
I am sooo thankful for your reintroduction of this treat to my life and although I am not much of a cook I think I will attempt to make this for myself & see if it is indeed what I have missed all my life! haha
My week has been so stressful and hard. This is a life saver. The other day my mother made rice. And the next morning since there was some left I made some vegitables, rice, and taemagoyaki. And I will tell you, it is so yummy. Thanks for the awesome recipes. Have a good day Moe, Moto, and Sutan.

I tired you matcha terrine recipe and it turned out great! The first time I used dark chocolate . The second time I used white chocolate. I also decided to use a silicon pan instead of using foil and a regular pan. Thanks so much for sharing. Sutan is so adorable!!

I actually bought matcha powder last week at the Asian grocery store. I was gonna make matcha nama chocolate with it, but it seems that I have all the ingredients on hand to make matcha terrine already.
