I love that her husband just came home from work but was still more than happy to help his wife with filming and baking. It's very wholesome to see, and i couldn't help but laugh at how concentrated he looked filming Moe with his phone haha

Moe, I noticed each year that more and more countries around the world celebrate the spirit/joy of Christmas, even if they're not Christian. Was it common to celebrate Christmas in Japan when you were little, or about when did it start being more commonly celebrated? It's nice to see the various traditions around the world!! ☃️ 🎄 🎅 🤶 👼
We Japanese celebrate all kinds of celebrations even if we are not Christian. We do Valentines day, halloween and Christmas along with our own festivals and celebrations through out the year! We Japanese work too much so any excuses for us to celebrate and have a blast, we take it! lol
@@erinaiwasaki502 Oh, how fun! A lot of Americans do the same thing. I love celebrating Diwali "The Fesitival of the Lights" with my Indian friends. (Diwali is India's biggest and most important holiday of the year.) There's also other special days I love to celebrate with friends from different religious backgrounds, or holidays that celebrate the traditions and culture of friends that were born in other countries - it's so wonderful! Happy New Year Erina!!

I am drawing all the time, that's actually my job career and my 4 year old son doesn't care at all and still doesn't make any real shape ! 😭😅 Sutan is really advanced and smart.

This cake reminds me of "Card captor Sakura" anime. There was an episode where sakura's dad made the cake and Sakura ate deliciously! I was so little and wished I could made that cake. Hahaha! After 20+ years later, I came across of this making of cake again in real life hehe. Every time I see Sutan getting excited when her dad comes home I remember my little self getting excited whenever my dad comes home after work too. It's a sweet memory, but come to think of it I was rarely like that for my mom as a kid. Watching Moe-san with Sutan made me see the bigger picture now. My mom was always with me. Even if I didn't feel very excited at that time those were very precious moments that made me the adult that I am now.
Moe…one of my best memories of my daughters and me doing things together in the kitchen. Making ornament dough for the girls to roll out and make hand shapes as keepsakes for our family ( seeing how tiny their hands were tugs at my heart every year)…doing these things with Sutan could become a special holiday tradition for you both. Trust and believe that you will love whatever you both create….Happy Holidays❄️

That was so cute. I remember eating cake like this on vacation in Spain when I was a kid and it tasted so great. part of that was all the sun those strawberries got, it made them taste amazing. In the Netherlands we don't get them that good. I think even for imported ones they must pick them a bit unripe so they survive the trip which is unlike fully ripe ones from Spain.

Strawberry shortcake from Japan looks really good! I've heard if you order those cakes in Japan, you have to really order one quickly as they're sold out. For Christmas cake, either that strawberry shortcake or a Buche de Noel cake sounds like a good idea. I had a Buche de Noel cake last year from a local bakery and it was really good! Desserts always tastes better if you have friends and/or loved ones to share it with. My dad wasn't around much when I was a kid as he was working in another state, so watching Sutan go to greet Moto-san at the door was so sweet and reminded me of the way I always used to greet him during Thanksgiving and Christmas.
A whole video worthy of framing into a picture album but my favorite single moment is at 15:02. Sutan's smile after putting the strawberries on top and getting praised for it. The quintessence of pure joy. That to me represents the Christmas spirit as well as any Macy's parade. May that boundless joy transfer to everyone watching this video and everyone else in the world. An easy way to cut sponge cake - take a length of ordinary cotton thread, long enough to go around the cake. Wrap it round the cake and take the two ends, one in each hand then pull apart. The cotton will cut through the cake in one easy movement and you will have smooth, even pieces.
