Installing an IRP Shifter In My NA Miata

I’m not saying I meant to buy this but I’m not saying I didn’t mean to buy it either. I’m not quite sure what happened. All I know is I’m about to have some really crisp solid shifts and I waited way too long for it!

thank you! 🙏🏽Mine doesn’t rattle, it does transfer a little transmission noise but not terrible. How are your motor mounts and differential mounts?

Do you remember where you got this from? The irp sight has a 6 speed one but it says for NA too and I’m kinda confused lol

Got it directly from IRP. I can see it being both for 5 and 6. It just a slot that’s adjustable.

How does it compare to the G Racing short shifter? BTW, the G Racing short shifter cost $325.

Not sure honestly. I’ve Only have had the chance to feel the IRP and CAE setups. I’d love to give it a try in our other Miata. Might reach out to them.

What is the height difference from stock to now? I can't find dimensions for the IRP online

height from the mounting base to the top of the shifter roughly

Irp shifter is 12in from base. So roughly 5.5in to 6in over factory. Puts the shifter level with the center hub of the steering wheel
