Great reaction to this very underrated band! Glad to hear that you're down for hearing more of them. I would highly recommend "Brave New World" live at Kulturkirken Jakob.
Hi. I am so glad more reactors react to Kalandra. Thank you to the people who request it. Every reactor loves Kalandra, I wish they got more famous among people, though. Well, they have new album out and they are on tour, so they should get some more fans. Your outro suggests you like heavier music, so I would suggest one of their heavier songs, music video Are You Ready. Or the new video from Japan of Bring Me the Horizon featuring Aurora (!), which is supercool.
I thought you would enjoy Kalandra. There's definitely a lot of overlap with Aurora's fans. Here are a few suggestions for where to go next (but there are no mistakes, whatever you check out): -Borders (music video); more folky and atmospheric - th-cam.com/video/zHh4t38f9AM/w-d-xo.html -Bardaginn (music video); about as heavy as I've seen them - th-cam.com/video/Vcpe23dG-jk/w-d-xo.html -Ensom (live unplugged) - th-cam.com/video/r9n0egF5WpQ/w-d-xo.html -I Am (music video); their latest came out with the new album a couple weeks ago th-cam.com/video/PL7NWFIUpxQ/w-d-xo.html And if you want to see a little crossover, try two different versions of Wardruna - Helvegen: -Wardruna live with Aurora - th-cam.com/video/FnkTuHP9q3o/w-d-xo.html -Kalandra's cover - th-cam.com/video/o6by9cl24Cw/w-d-xo.html
@@johnytwo For sure. I don't think there's a video of theirs that I wouldn't highly recommend, but Slow Motion and The Waiting Game are beautiful while telling a really engaging story, which is a powerful one-two punch for me.
@@grysqrl What do you think of their new album? It feels different to me. More refined, but less memorable songs? But it's just because it is fresh to me, I guess.
7:30 I don't know what she would call it, but this technique is called the Tahrir Technique or Hammer Vibrato in Persian music. And both AURORA and her using subtle Külning Yodels in their legato tones and vocalisations. When it comes to Külning, I recommend checking out Jonna Jinton 😊

I love it!
If you like the Nordic Noir film style, i strongly suggest you watch the offical music video for "Slow Motion". It's a cinematographer's delight.
Thanks!
Totally. All of their music videos are really good, but I think Slow Motion and The Waiting Game are masterpieces.
@@grysqrl The State of the World has breathtaking seascapes.
