Susanne is a real gem, if she'd been born in the UK or the US she would've been a superstar. She plays piano, keyboard and guitar, and her music covers a wide range, from ballads to electronic dance to baroque pop. Her live performances, where her powerful voice really shines, are always fantastic. Here are some of my favourites:
    - Memorial
    - The Silicone Veil (Live Skavlan 2012)
    - The Brothel (either the studio version or Live At Parkteatret)
    - White Foxes
    - Rome (Live At Parkteatret)
    - The Amorous Humphrey Plugg (live on BBC proms)
    - Mountaineers (featuring John Grant)
    - No One Believes In Love Anymore
    - The Sound of War (Live at Spellemann)
    - The Dance
    - Röyksopp & Susanne Sundfør - Ice Machine (Depeche Mode cover) Live on Lydverket
    - M83 & Susanne Sundfør - Oblivion

Cheers, fellas! Appreciate the review/reaction. She doesn't get enough attention in the States. Her voice is hauntingly beautiful. She does a lot of feature vocals with other bands as well. Next suggestion, if I may, is 'Mood' by Marc Broussard. It's a recent single he put out and it's one of my favorite songs of late to play to. It's a groove masterclass. The syncopation of the drums with the tight bassline creates a nice bounce to it.

she is unrivaled norways number one, her intense vocals and songwriting are one of a kind. absolute underrated. criminally underrated.
@pulsar77 already listed a couple of beautiful songs, but missed one of her utmost intense songs, "when the lord", a feature song for a norwegian documentary about the work and life of leading norwegian fotographer lene marie fossen, who suffered from anorexia since the early age of ten. the visual power of susannes music, lenes storie and her portraits are one of the most impactful songs in my life. once listened to it cannot be forgotten.
she is in my list of top artists on number two, while eivor is on number one. classically trained sopran, owner of a masters degree in traditional nordic vocal techniques and the most versatile artist. she also did music for the last kingdom tv-series and the computer game god of war. her performance of falling free live at the old theater in tórshavn is the best live performance of all artists i know.
