I've got from reward 3 normal brachy mantles and the next one I got 3 reactors (I farmed 15 raging brachydios with no luck)

Iceborne Raging isn't any weaker than before, it still hits like a truck.
The only issue with 4U Raging is that it was bullshit.
The difference is that they nerfed its explosions in its active body parts. That was the difficulty.
After you cautiously break them the fight was a cakewalk. But now it splatters on the floor...

I've really struggled with this fight with the Lance (and various other weapons). I see the difference that getting the Health Regen Augment makes - that's my next goal to try and emulate this effort! :)
Boy, seeing Brachydios but you don't lightly flinch after every time you touch the slime is SUPER cursed!

Nice seeing brachy actually being hella scary for once. Iceborne brach just felt like a giant pushover.
That’s cause they made him a pushover same with glavenus a bit he feels weaker compared to his incarnation in GU tho acidic is at least a little difficult if you let him do his stuff. Tigrex is the main one who’s difficulty can be felt for me in this game cause he’s huge and his hit boxes are more annoying than black diablos, still love Tigrex tho he’s super fun to just see in worlds graphics they all are, minus Kirin it looks weird to me less like a unicorn more like a giraffe mixed with a unicorn
I love this fight, it's not too easy but not unfairly hard. Raging Brachy looks amazing and the theme is one of the best in the game

oh man, the JPOG Torosaurus sound effects are strong with this fight. I mean... Normal Brachy had them, but he just abuses them here, and it's distracting as hell.
Phase 2 I assume would be actually terrifying without antiblast on...

Without antiblast, hunters will be in sticky situation, considering how many of those slime puddles which Raging Brachy able to creates.

When I saw first phase : oh he puts soooo much slime everywhere. I remember taht when fighting normal brachy in 4u I almost prefered it when he was angry because slime exploded isntantly.

It must be pretty agonizing back then to tenderize every 1 and a half minute, good thing they extended it to 3 minutes, i just dont understand what took them so long to do that.
If they add shaver abd extended the wound time early, clutch claw wouldnt received such a backlash.

The fight feels like it has damage thresholds, sort of like safi jiva. It could be cappable if you cheese it in multiplayer, but only if its HP isn't locked
Its a slay quest, so if you cap it you actually fail the quest
Solo is tough but in a 4 man squad is a cake walk (at least the assignment mission).
Almost completed full armor set in 2 runs (reactor and pallium in first run and reactor on second).

Not exactly no. Earplugs gets you a few seconds of free hits and blast immunity well, just avoid the slime, I fought it solo with a long sword and got blast blight at least 6 times through the whole hunt. If you get slimed, just roll 4 times and ur good 2 go.
Yukie Saiga blast blight isn’t exactly necessary but it’s nice to have and I wouldn’t worry about earplugs. You can easily roll or hop through his roars
It's not mandatory at least when hunting with other people but it's definitely highly helpful if you can build for it

Hm, better goes into the hunt without blast blight resistance then. Who knows how it could change the difficulty of Raging Brachy's 2nd phase.

Loving your vids! Keep it up! There's this one thing I can't figure out how to do. How do you power guard after doing a normal guard? I assume you're not doing a counter guard cause it looks like you just blocked normally then quickly cancelled to power guard.
Hi canta, I just want to ask if you are using Focus or Target in your camera setting?, Amazing hunt, I tried your style using dual blade and I end up carted. :(
Watching this I have a LOT of things to say... first off, fight originally looks pretty good, although it's clearly faster than it was in 4U so screws over slow weapons if you can't lock it down... second, seems like blast resist is literally mandatory with SO many puddles all over the place, so that's fun if you forget it or if this can show up when hunting other stuff in the GLands... Third I REALLY like how they made it so when it's parts turn red, instead of exploding and one shotting you they make a puddle that explodes couple seconds later, much better than fearing going near it! Now while all that's well and good, last phase looks a LOT like a raid battle than a normal monster hunt, so it's gonna be a LOT of pain for most weapons to fight with IG (leap over AoE BS to dodge) and Lance/GL/Shield HBG (to tank stuff) being the few of the exceptions...
Curious about the puddles in the last phase though, are they just DoT and explode only when it does it's version of a supernova or they can explode on their own? Also, is Raging Brachy FINALLY able to be captured? It used to be one of the few monsters that couldn't be captured alongside things like Abyssal Lagiacrus, Ukanlos and Akantor just because those monsters showed up only in maps that didn't let you set traps, but in GLands you can set traps, so curious... if possible, then you can skip almost the entirety of the last phase (capturing is usually at 30% or less HP left but last phase seems to be at around 25%)!
Capturing is enabled at around 15% Healt.
You can use Traps on him, outside of last phase.
Its probably possible to stunlook him, and then try a Capture, Team Darkside will probably try it out.
The two new Monster cant show up, outside of there Quests. Aparently.
@@Sunaki1000 Is it an exception? Because in World monsters are actually capturable at an almost blanket 30% (compared to 9-15% it was in past games)... I'm thinking if Raging Brachy is 30% too instead of immune, then in multiplayer one could set up traps at the entrance of the last area then try to cap it right there and then, would definitely make multiplayer runs easier since my guess is that 99% of carts will happen in the last phase:P

@@Sunaki1000 It did change a LOT actually, monsters are capturable from the point just before they get the death icon in the minimap (which happens at around 26-28%). Nothing like the old days when capturing monsters was a pain in the ass since you had to bring most down to just 9% without killing them though somehow... I HATE old Capture quests, my worst enemy since with GS I flinchlocked stuff so much, especially in 4U with broken ass 390RAW sets, that they'd die before they even started to limp>:/

Seems like it's too easy to knock off the red slime tbh. He didn't even get to use that one attack from the early gameplay footage because he needs to have all three areas red. I don't know, maybe water weapons neutralize the slime faster?

It's just me or this version of Raging Brachy's Slime takes more time to explode than the old one. I had a bad time with him in 4U and XX, they're really challenging. I was hope this version of him is to be harder but now I feel a little bit disappointed.
Tempered Raging might be hard though
it depends on the colour of the slime on his body. They range from very slow to insta-explode. By hitting it you slow it down.
Are you going to use the new raging brachy lance and if so would you who your build on it?

By the attacks and strength Raging Brachydios showcasing here. Its clearly on the same league like Savage Deviljho and so on. But still, I think Raging Brachy isn't surpassing more than Savage & Furious like some people thought.
The main technique of Raging Brachy is a lot of AoE attacks, my guess is that in some Iceborne update later on, the multiple ground punching in the final area could deal some damage instead of none.

The underwear is simply Garuga armor, while you can get the thermal armor by completing a mission where you have to delivery two thermal stones in the Hoarfrost Reach.
I love that it has an overdrive mode!

Why don't you get the blast debuff when you stand in the slime? I am playing also lance against him an i get the debuff every single time. From Ground and from his hits.

hehe ambos the official term for it is blastscourge, technically blast on steroids. to answer your main question, using fireproof mantle or immunity mantle can negate the ailment. im not sure about fire resistance 20 tho

I didn't expect Raging Brachy to move slower than internet explorer 🤔 He's definitely got cheek clapping power though.

You can always wash away its slime.
However, after hitting the ground multiple times, the slime on some parts of its body becomes "active" (red).
All the attacks with that body part will deal extra damage and, after being hit, they will drop the slime on the floor and the slime will explode, dealing damage.
so in the end round we need to drink immunizer to counter the over heat effect

@@Sunaki1000 Yes it's extremely powerful but like most people I would like them to just buff the weapon naturally they did it for every other weapon I don't see why they won't do it for Lance I suspect it's due to the fact that they don't want you having essentially invincibility and high DPS in one weapon but yes offensive guard level 3 is a must in terms of whether I'm in the guard 3 or 5 camp I'm in the guard 5 camp and it's absolutely necessary

Some wespons with lower mobility like lance might prefer blast resistance though.
Still, it's a useful skill on every weapon since you don't have to worry about blast buildup.
I liked seeing you get squashed by the tail, after standing in several different slime puddles with no consequence and guarding through everything. This game has become meta gameplay only disappointment and I miss the older generations difficulty. And this was not meant as a put down to you. You’re obviously a very serious and great player. Great job on brachy and furious.
The only difficulty back then was the monsters hitboxes and guild quests being always scaled for multiplayer, monsters back then were predictable and dumb af
I mean to be fair...a counter build IS a counter build even in older games
I just think it’s overkill now too have so many skills almost maxed and still have room to gem in resistances it really seems overpowered. And I guess the meta weapons is just gaming in general it was the case for slime weapons back then I remember seeing nothing but kelbi bows and feeling the same.

@@crimsonsushi4635 I agree with you You could max out all the skills you want but what's the point if you don't have any survivability this is the argument to people that I make when they have meta builds.. I now have a ridiculous mix set with these new pieces of armor and master's touch but I also put in divine blessing three recovery three and health boost three and free meal one
I get criticized because I'm not doing maximum DPS but I'm still doing hella damage and I simply ask these meta people if my set is bad why am I the one that didn't die? These people that are just maxing out for Max DPS they die more often than anyone else and I guess that's their choice.
