Get a shitloads of Great Spiritvein Gems ready to augment Safi weapons, also bring Partbreaker Lv3 for the fight and focus on breaking as many body parts as you can
Good stuff on those hunts. Was this run basically TA rules until you mounted the Rajang? Also, when you get the tail stagger at 9:25 after a full big bang combo, would you say that's a consistent stagger, or is it only because Rajang had reduced stats for the multi-monster quest? I haven't practiced keeping track of stagger thresholds mid-hunt, so it would be convenient if I could just assume that with solo difficulty I can stagger rajang with one big bang combo.
Mounting is still allowed by TA rules but the Garuga was poisoned by the poison cup which made this run not TA lmao. Also multimonster quest monsters only have reduced HP but their stagger thresholds are the same as if you were fighting them in a single monster quest so yeah, one big bang combo on the tail while he's down is usually enough to knock him out of rampage mode
@@CantaPerMe Oh dang that sucks. I honestly hate a lot of environmental traps and how many there are. The benefit from a lot of them is honestly pretty minimal and honestly I get hit with them more than the monsters do 😅. Nothing like knocking the monster into a pool of poison so that I can't hit the head without getting poisoned. Or pounding on the monster only to accidentally trip a paratoad I didn't know was there.
Adept is the safest since it lets you attack while dodging, but if you want to be really aggressive just go with Valor/Brave since it gives you a guard point to plow through attacks that also recovers your stamina AND gives you a lovely dash at the same time to close the distance if the monster moves too far away (with correct timing you can plow straight through Rajang's beam even and headsnipe as he's finishing)!
I'll never get bored of watching Canta, amazing plays. Also, can someone confirm for me, in quests with multiple enemies, do they decrease the amount of HP each monster has? If so, by how much?

Because PC is the objectively better experience (save for waiting for console content, but that won't matter come the 23rd), but obviously he doesn't want to miss out on the new stuff by waiting. He's done it with Japanese copies of the games in the past for the same reason.
There's something called i-frames. ^^ If you dodge perfectly the monster's roar, you don't get affected by the roar and so does your character not hold his/her ears. You should search it up on youtube. Really helpful to do it, instead of using rockssteady mantel.
The monsters get their health reduced depending on the amount of monsters per hunt, so on these 5 monster quests the health of each individual monster is very low

Multi-monster quests reduce monster health a lot. The monsters in this quest have about 35% health, so it's extremely easy to break parts, flinch, stagger, etc.. Here they effectively threw 5 high rank monsters at canta that do master rank damage, except speedrunners barely get hit in their kept runs so it doesn't matter. That's why the final quests of mh for example are always extremely easy because they throw 4 monsters at you all with no health that you can keep on the ground the whole fight.
I have to say, I fucking HATE how small monsters aggro and prevent you from using fast travel! They really should make it that fast travel can't be used in fights against LARGE monsters only! Also hate how scoutfly levels drop so you have to spend ages getting tracks all over again if you haven't fought something in a while...
