You would be better off, generally, dating your own gender because most guys are a like, most females are alike. Stereotypes arent based off of false information. They are based off of the majority of a group. Females are TYPICALLY into the same things as other females are. Males are typically into the same things as other males. Males are not typically into female things, and if they are, they are TYPICALLY gay. Females arent usually into male things and if they are well... they are either gay, or super rare. Now i said TYPICALLY so much because i dont mean to say that everyone is like this, and i know how people love to not read certain words to put words in other peoples mouths.
As a woman, dating women is extremely difficult. You've got no idea if the girl you like is gay, or if they're even interested in you, so you just stare at them for months before you even talk to them or get the courage to ask and it's usually a no. Also, everyone is a bundle of drama, regardless of sexuality. Love the skit! I feel you Ally!
My favorite joint in Georgia was a gay bar in a city that was predominantly black (which the south has more of than any other place in the states). Ya'll are what we call big city bigots.
Georgia is one of the most "southern" states in the country. How do you get to say a particular city gets magically exempted from that? The truth is that there are just as many racists/bigots etc. in california, newyork, and alabama. The south is not some place where people are magically less understanding. It's pretty much the same everywhere.
로라 I think you completely missed my point. It's very hard to even find another wlw because you can't be too public about your sexuality and if you do find one, it's a 70% chance she's already in a relationship with one of the 5 other publicly gay people in your area. And don't even get me started on chemistry. If you have a very limited pool, it's much harder to find a good partner. If you think switching team would make everything easier, you're in for a big surprise
Don’t you love the outright hated, lack or rights, risk of homelessness as a minor, risk or violence, and the fact that conversion therapy for minors is legal in most USA states! /s
Actually there are for teens and straight children called Youth Homes and they are mostly religious and closed to the lgbt community, there are barely any gay safe homes. Also its not really about not having a place to sleep but the fact that your own parents couldn't have you around because of your sexuality. also in your reply did you forget the part about VIOLENCE AND ABUSE, and how it is legal to try to change someones sexuality or "cure" them in "the land of the free"
Anya McMerlin exactly. Plus that’s not even the tip of the iceberg. Gays are also constantly judged and isolated by conservatives and they’re always trying to say either they’re abominations or trying to take away their marriage rights. To try to ignore this is just a failure to confront the fact gays have it harder than you.
Who ever says this lol, I already have enough anxiety about relationships as it is, then you have to go through the stress of knowing if they like you and knowing if they’re gay in the first place
Ok, so is the last scene canon or not? Because if katie and raphael start a thing, we need to know. Edit: In the sketch released three months after this one (Your friend who never learned partying sucks) Raphael and Katie are referenced to date again.
easily offended Is there a canon? I thought it was more like reading different fanfictions so they're the same characters just put in random situations, mostly in this one setting.
I used to get annoyed when people thought I was gay... Then I realised it was cause I am bi and I was scared of being gay. I was scared of people calling me gay because I was afraid to confront that part of me. That might be the case with her. Giver her time and she'll figure it out
Skeez McGyster I live in an area where gay is the most commonly used insult so while I don't know for sure I don't think it's because she is secretly bi or gay and most likely because if u are called gay it's not a compliment
the heatran24 WHAT!!! There are tons of Black people in the south, like seriously this place is considered where most of Black culture lies. Do you even live in America?
mary ford What people usually mean but don’t want to or don’t know how to express is Who is the dominant one? Most times it’s in a sexual way But it could be in general who takes the dominant roles in the relationship Who wears the pants? Most people in their heads just assume that males are the dominant ones in every relationship So they think to ask who’s the man Because they’re curious about how the relationship’s dynamic works
Well typically when they ask "Who's the man?" they are asking who is the more masculine one and who is the more feminine one. More commonly asked towards gay male couples with something along the lines of "Who's the pitcher and who's the catcher? Or do you guys switch off?" Since being gay isn't the "norm," people are intrigued by it because it's different. They want to know more about it, which is why they ask such offensive things. Don't think it's because they're bad people, think of it as they want to understand more about how same-sex relationships work.
Becca Phia Generally when I'm asked this they mean who has the stronger personality... I've even been asked this while in a hetero relationship by my freind since I have a very strong personality and am usually the protecter of all my partners
That ending, man. The romantic music, the slightly out of sync "we should date", the fact they inflected it differently so Katie was serious about it but Raphael just had an epiphany. So funny.
I went to private school my whole life and now I go to public school it is so much better IM NO LONGER SCARED OF THE JUDGMENT OF NUNS AND PREISTS AND AM IN A PLACE WHERE ITS ACCEPTABLE TO BE ME WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Same sex relationships are not easier. Sometimes, you can feel how relating to each others "gender specific traits" intensifies your connection, which is wonderful. But this doesnt make relationships less complicated.
there's a difference between "making things easier" and "being a walk in the park". Of course we're all human and a relationship is a relationship, but there are DEFINITELY advantages in same sex partners. and those "gender-specific traits" you are talking about are not just traits, but rather "basic mindsets". and having someone with a very similar mindset isn't just a little trait. of course relationships aren't determined by how easy you can have it. you WILL meet people who do not fit this description. But we are talking about the average mindset.
Sardonicus just because the extreme to one side is very wrong doesn't mean that the extreme to the other side is very true. also, i talked about the "base" if you could call it that. the mayority of boys will like rougher things and the mayority of girls likes to play family and caregiver. no-one turns female if he'd wake up with a vagina one morning. the way of thinking can be affected by the gender your brain "works on" no boy HAS to choose all the boy stuff but they are much more likely.
"I could get laid so much more often" "yeah, that is tr--" "and have no drama!" "you're so stupid" Such a simple back-and-forth, but Ally somehow crushed this delivery in a way I don't think many people would. Really funny.
some of these comments that try to dilute the fact that its hard to be gay just shows how hard it is, yall dont even take us seriously enough to acknowledge our struggle
Litsa Sursock ok stop. You people have a flag and a month dedicated to you. Laws are in place to protect you. Most people support you. Anyone who speaks out against gayness is attacked on a personal level. Stop being so privilaged. Name three real struggles
Weird Person that's a lie. I see reports of these things happening and people get in alot of trouble for it. Infact now if people publicly speak against you they can loose their jobs and will get attacked. Also I checked the facts and most states support lgbt realtionships. This is another problem with the lgbt you guys constantly lie to try and keep being the victim. You are getting more and more support yet still keep using the same lines to say why your victims. You say you aren't privillaged? Then explain this. Why is it that adding lgbt to anything is seen as more special? If I said I'm raising money for orphans I get cheers. However if I say I'm raising money for gay orphans I get praised and put all over the media. If I say "this my girlfriend" people are like okay. But if I say "this is my boyfriend" people suddenly get extra friendly and call me brave. Is that not privillage?
Weird Person 😂 the baker won because of the situation even gays agree. He said he would sell them anything other than the cake but they got butthurt and tried to force him to do it. How previllaged are you when you try to force someone to do something that they are within their right to not do. They were bullies and almost everyone agrees
Weird Person ahh. And here we are. This is what lgbt people always do. In my country you can be kill for it not in yours so you can't use that excuse. You guys always use the logic "other's in worse places have it hard so that makes me in a better place have it just as hard". I am not homophobic for disagreeing with you. My country (Jamaica) is very homophobic but I am not. I rather debate with them to explain why it is wrong. But lgbt people can't be debated with because all you people do is call people names and insult them if they even disagree with you. Gays in your country are previllaged so instead of using the suffering of others elsewhere as an excuse to cry be greatful.
Being gay is irritating in my area as it's difficult to spot other lesbians unless they are in a relationship. Also can you really not go to the south as a gay person?
It depends on where in the south you go. In Texas, big cities like Austin and Houston are generally a safe bet. There’s a chance you’ll get harassed in smaller towns though.
Even in little towns here in Alabama, there are lots of openly gay people and they're all generally accepted by the public. Their family may be a different story. But no one is getting harassed on the street for being gay.
Okay but you'd be surprised on how dating is the same way whether you're dating a man, a woman or other. I'm bisexual and I've dated both. Currently dating a guy. Lemme tell you. It isn't easy with women OR men. Of course, I haven't dated everyone and everyone is different but hey... "Easy" is subjective.
Diglikeashovel // i’m black. i’ve been to the deep south and people scowl at me on the street. i genuinely feel threatened with my life when i’m down there and i have to hire a white friend to go with me when i drive through there. what’s your story bro
kiwisweet lol you hire a white friend? Are you a black man or woman and are you afraid of going to the deep South? We have the solution to your problems. Rent-a-White-Guy!
I'm bi and my first girlfriend cheated on me with her best friend. The drama is just as high. I ended up marrying a man but it feels the same as when I was with woman. Except he's never cheated on me.
Obviously not in the sack it doesn't feel the same, but in the sense of it having ups and downs like any other relationship of course. Girls and boys are both complicated people and they both desire love and respect like any other relationship. And because I'm bi does not mean I go out looking for a 3 some at bars or what ever. I respect my husband again like I would if I was in a relationship with anyone else. Does no one get what being bi means? Obviously if your not bi you probley don't.....
Jillygirl27 It was just the wording for me. I mean I get it... But the real question is how are you still bi if you in a monogamous relationship? Unless you still have 3somes or cheat. You are bi curious basically
So what if I ended up being married to a woman it would of meant I'm a lesbian? No.... I'd still be bisexual like I am. Bisexual means interested in both. It means you will end up with one or the other and which ever you fall in love with does not change what gender your attacked to. If I'm watching a movie I usually yell out oh that chick has sexy boobs and my husband will laugh because he knows I'm bi! You don't need to cheat on the person your with to be bisexual. It's all about what gender your attracted to and I'm interested in both. I've dated both men and women in the past, I just ended up dating a man. And I'm not bi curious because I've been with more then one woman and I know I'm attacked to woman just as much as I know I'm attracted to men. What do people not get about being bisexual. Do your research! Not being rude just some advise before you accidentally insult a bisexual person. If you have anymore questions again research, Google it. Goodnight. Hope that helps.

Yeah I live in texas and may feel slightly judged at times but even that is rare because I’m in a city/people are good at hiding their true feelings here
C'mon, guys, don't be silly. It's the aromantic asexuals who are truly enviable. No ball-and-chain to have fights with or drama, but you can be permanently single without that heart-wrenching longing for someone to share a bed with. Plus, your odds of catching a sexually-transmitted disease plummets to the floor, and the judgy religious types can't touch you because you literally are immune to one of the 7 Cardinal sins. The one closest thing to a downside is people wanting what they can't have, meaning tons of people will throw themselves at you and you get the satisfaction of telling each and every one of them, even the most drop-dead gorgeous ones, "Your ass is not good enough for me." I mean, what on earth's not to love here?
The only situations where it would be bad to be ace are- If you are sexually abused And If you don't know what the term asexual means and think something is wrong with you.
I'm Ace And I Wish I Were Gay. Just Because I Don't Like The Bits Doesn't Mean I Wish I Didn't. At Least Straight People Get To Enjoy Something! Don't Take It For Granted.
You could clearly see the difference in old videos: in normal sketches they usually portrayed characters and "Hardly Working" clearly focused on office shenanigans.
i think the difference is that hardly working videos arent expected to take place outside of the office, and no one's playing a different character than a fictional version of themselves?
Honestly the only thing that I agree with gayness being easier is you don’t have to worry about accidental pregnancy but then you can’t get pregnant if you want to sooo
Actually in a relationship between two women, they can actually use an egg from each women and create a baby that way. It would grow in a lab and then the mom can take the baby home! Hope you enjoyed the fun fact!

There is no better gender to date. There are just people you don't click with and people you do.
Prestidigitoreum I wish people took note of this comment, but people are so wrapped up in comparison on who has it better/harder.
I also wonder to these women, why don't you search for better people to date...? Some men are awesome.

When Ally said "I can never go to the South," Raph could've said, "Me neither . . . but for a different reason."
I'm actually surprised they didn't do that or some variation on it.
My favorite joint in Georgia was a gay bar in a city that was predominantly black (which the south has more of than any other place in the states). Ya'll are what we call big city bigots.
MrCorrectify Atlanta doesn't count
Seetiyan YES! YOU WIN!
Georgia is one of the most "southern" states in the country. How do you get to say a particular city gets magically exempted from that? The truth is that there are just as many racists/bigots etc. in california, newyork, and alabama. The south is not some place where people are magically less understanding. It's pretty much the same everywhere.
Straight girl: "Dating women are so much easier"
Me, a 20 year old lesbian who's never scored a date: "Wat"
Altaay Mattila well since you never dated, of course you wouldn’t know...
I relate to this so much.
Sardonicus Just 90%? Kinda lowering the number. You mean slightly more than 98%
Altaay, but how do you know if you are lesbian if you never dated anybody?
Moral of the story:
A man and a woman can be gay for each other
My girlfriend does the same stupid stuff straight girls do. How do people not get that?
And you CAN come to the south, particularly Atlanta and Miami. It's one big orgy down here anyways.

Talsong Kingslayer In several states we have absolutely no protection against harassment.
@Talsong Kingslayer We can be fired or evicted from our housing (in most states) for being LGBT.

The worst is “who’s the man in the relationship” like we’re both the female THATS why we’re re together
mary ford What people usually mean but don’t want to or don’t know how to express is
Who is the dominant one?
Most times it’s in a sexual way
But it could be in general who takes the dominant roles in the relationship
Who wears the pants?
Most people in their heads just assume that males are the dominant ones in every relationship
So they think to ask who’s the man
Because they’re curious about how the relationship’s dynamic works
Becca Phia
Cough.
They mean dominating in the sexual way. Like who takes control of the other person when doing it.
Becca Phia
Generally when I'm asked this they mean who has the stronger personality...
I've even been asked this while in a hetero relationship by my freind since I have a very strong personality and am usually the protecter of all my partners
"I can't go to the South"

Same sex relationships are not easier. Sometimes, you can feel how relating to each others "gender specific traits" intensifies your connection, which is wonderful. But this doesnt make relationships less complicated.
Thanks for the explaining the joke to everyone!
Yeah they are wayyyyy easier
r/whooosh
there's a difference between "making things easier" and "being a walk in the park".
Sardonicus just because the extreme to one side is very wrong doesn't mean that the extreme to the other side is very true. also, i talked about the "base" if you could call it that. the mayority of boys will like rougher things and the mayority of girls likes to play family and caregiver. no-one turns female if he'd wake up with a vagina one morning. the way of thinking can be affected by the gender your brain "works on"
no boy HAS to choose all the boy stuff but they are much more likely.
"I could get laid so much more often"
"yeah, that is tr--"
"and have no drama!"
"you're so stupid"
Such a simple back-and-forth, but Ally somehow crushed this delivery in a way I don't think many people would.
Weird Person your state is not all of america.

It depends on where in the south you go. In Texas, big cities like Austin and Houston are generally a safe bet. There’s a chance you’ll get harassed in smaller towns though.
Fake news. I went to college in Georgia there were gay people here like anywhere else and they were fine
Atlanta doesn't count.
Even in little towns here in Alabama, there are lots of openly gay people and they're all generally accepted by the public. Their family may be a different story. But no one is getting harassed on the street for being gay.

xXiiiXx No it is not.
I'm bi and my first girlfriend cheated on me with her best friend. The drama is just as high. I ended up marrying a man but it feels the same as when I was with woman. Except he's never cheated on me.
Jillygirl27 he feels the same as dating a woman???
Most bi women end up marrying men and then they go to lesbian clubs to find a "unicorn" to spice up their marriage. Lol

The one closest thing to a downside is people wanting what they can't have, meaning tons of people will throw themselves at you and you get the satisfaction of telling each and every one of them, even the most drop-dead gorgeous ones, "Your ass is not good enough for me."

I don't understand what the difference between Hardly Working and normal CH videos are.
You could clearly see the difference in old videos: in normal sketches they usually portrayed characters and "Hardly Working" clearly focused on office shenanigans.
Hardly working vids have hardly anything to do with actual work, they’re scenarios like this one
i think the difference is that hardly working videos arent expected to take place outside of the office, and no one's playing a different character than a fictional version of themselves?
the writers tend to keep a set personality in hardy working videos, but they change to other things on a video to video basis otherwise.
i think hardly working talks about stuff that hardly works

Honestly the only thing that I agree with gayness being easier is you don’t have to worry about accidental pregnancy but then you can’t get pregnant if you want to sooo
I bet gayness also makes it easier to avoid gender roles in a relationship.
Actually in a relationship between two women, they can actually use an egg from each women and create a baby that way. It would grow in a lab and then the mom can take the baby home! Hope you enjoyed the fun fact!
