MOST OF THE FILMS on that list ARE mostly BANNED IN THE MIDDLE EAST BECAUSE countries like Saudi Arabia, Syria, United Arab Emirates, Yemen Iran and few others (with only other like Bahrain, Cyprus, Jordan, and Turkey have lgbt rights) have hardcore rules against lgbt including in Saudi Arabia (where they has no written laws but penalizes LGBT activity with up to death)
I was expecting "Song of the South" to be #1. Then the controversy of Si and Am from "Lady and the Tramp." Plus I heard there was some sort of problem with "The Aristocrats." When "The Black Cauldron" was released people were pissed that credits were before the movie and that it was too dark for children. I loved it.
Yeah I was expecting Song of the South to be number 1 too, like that movie has been banned at least in the US for decades!
My least favourite Disney is winnie the pooh, what's your least favourite Disney?

That Pooh scene broke my heart 🥺
I saw the film when it first came out, what happened.
There’s a lot of room for speculating in number 10, as both males had a surprised loon on their faces, and it was common for dances then to have partners switch, like square dancing, and they were switching partners, so most likely that they were expecting the female instead of the male.
Disney would’ve fared better had they not even said anything in interviews to draw attention to it given how benign it is. There are PLENTY of movies I’m sure are permitted in those countries where 2 men end up dancing for 2 seconds.
TRUE LIES comes to mind, when Tom Arnold and Indian guy waltz to make fun of Schwarzenegger. AMERICAN WEDDING when Stifler teaches the groom how to slow dance. Also any movie where Eddie Murphy is dressed as a woman.
How come it took them until the live-action movie for anyone to realize that Lefou was SO INTO Gaston that he would do ANYTHING for him? I was a kid and saw it. I mean look at the song that he sings for him in BOTH MOVIES!!!!
But in the Live-Action one there's another guy that when he gets his makeover from the closet DOESN'T freak-out but likes it and OWNS IT!!!! I forget if something like that happened in the original but yeah.
As for the dancing part, it doesn't matter where in the world you are, when people are dancing and trading partners then you're going to end up dancing with someone of the same sex as you. It's funny that when women do it it's fine but when it's guys everyone freaks out like it's the end of the world or something.
I hate winnie the pooh that's my least favourite Disney. 🐻🐯🐷🦉🐰🦘🧒🐘🐴 (I had to use the horse as Eeyore but he's not a horse he's a sad donkey)
But Winnie the Pooh is my least favourite Disney I just don't like it it's for babies.
It seems that if there's a LGBTQ+ character in a film, middle east countries (and possibly China) will ban it. Even poor Winnie the Pooh (this proves that they have no sense of humour) and Mary Poppins failed for other reasons. I'm really surprised Song of the South isn't on the list (it's certainly not been released on DVD).
Well there's also a huge part of western people that whine about those scenes. What else to expect from sectarians.

The problem I have with the Lightyear LGBT thing is that it doesn’t fit the time period the movie was supposedly released. Since it claims Andy saw it in 1995 that would mean any LGBT wouldn’t have been allowed
I remember when a movie like Deadpool wasn’t allowed to be shown. Not because of all the violence. No, no. It’s because Negasonic Teenage Warhead was with Yukio.

Where's Song of the South? Arguably the most banned Disney movie ever.
I was looking forward to that one the top 10 list.
I don’t think that film was actually banned, more like it was removed from circulation and never allowed to be released ever again by Disney. It probably would be banned if it were in circulation but apparently it wasn’t given a VHS release or if it was then there’s almost no copies left as most would’ve been recalled and destroyed. You possibly could find bootleg copies but there’s no official copies anywhere to be found. I’ve even heard a rumor that Disney went so far as to destroy the original film reel to make sure it never sees the light of day ever again.

I've seen "Beauty and the Beast", "Mary Poppins", some of "De Feuhrer's Face", and some of "Pirates of the Carribean"! They're great movies! It sucks how all the movies on this list got banned. I thought "Christopher Robin" was banned in China because Winnie the Pooh wasn't wearing pants.
Christopher Robin got banned in China just because Winnie the Pooh had references to Xi Jinping, whom the latter didn't like that reference.
@@ajpat9620 That’s not why. CHRISTOPHER ROBIN is a period film, Xi was not anywhere near in power back in the 1950s. Pooh is banned there in EVERY form because he got memed and didn’t like it.

At the same time, China had a severe level of censorship, which really makes it complicated and difficult.

It was unnecessary to ban Beauty and the Beast (2017) anywhere because in its live action actually gives Lefou an actual backstory.
I watched Onward and West Side Story on Disney+ and I never knew that these movies were banned, these are really good movies.

Lightyear got what it deserved. It's an insult to what Tim Allen made so iconic. I extremely doubt that it was the movie that made Andy want the Buzz Lightyear we know and love in the Toy Story franchise.
What’s even more stupid and outrageous is that the movie supposedly takes place in 1995 and for those of us who actually paid attention in school we are all very well aware and know for a fact that there was no way a movie like Lightyear would’ve been made or seen back in a period when life/time was different and a lot better

Well… they probably wouldn’t if not for almost all of them making over a billion each and every single time they make one (except for MULAN and LADY AND THE TRAMP due to reasons).
Next up are THE LITTLE MERMAID, LILO & STITCH, and SNOW WHITE.
While I never have a problem with LGBT or the kiss scene between Commander Alisha Hawthorne and her wife, my only criticism on Lightyear is the idea of Zurg is Buzz’s older self.
I Really hope that in the sequel, we get a fully Emperor Zurg that became a sworn enemy of the Galactic Alliance. And more important, where he originally came from since we all know his mothership and army of Zyclopses are left behind.
To me, it kinda felt cheated to fans of idea of an older Buzz inside Zurg. But since he is from an alternate timeline, we may get to see two different versions of Zurgs.
Nah the sequel is gonna be a movie centered on “the Woody that actually existed and will be voiced by Jake Gyllenhaal”

@@petesmart1983 The term repressive is a strong word to describe how their countries operate, historically speaking, they have zero tolerance for non traditional liberation and Marxism. Personally I have nothing against the LGBT or the Alphabet Community, but to be honest, their freedom of speech is just as limited as the heterosexuals who came from America, unfortunately Indie and Hollywood movies also have limitations to the kind of film/television broadcast depending upon what type of demographic it gears toward.

Where's Songs of the South?
Dude.... you mentioned Malaysia banning Beauty and the Beast & Lightyear, but no mention of Thor: Love & Thunder? This ban was more controversial than the earlier 2 movies because until now they didn't exactly clarify WHY it was banned. Some say its due to LGBT scenes, others due to nudity and even because "too many God's appeared".

I habe always loved Einnieh the Pooh. Always. Not a single Moment, when I was like mad about the Movies of Winnieh the pooh or something, but I would always watch them. All of them every year of my life. But then, ,,Christopher Robin" came out and I was shocked. After watching this movie, I was legit non-stop crying in my bed. Anyone else, that cried because of ,,Christopher Robin"?

Why Pocahontas 1995 could end up banned or discontinued in North America by the Disney company.
To the WatchMojo, as you know the Disney film Pocahontas was released in 1995 to mixed reception due to the historically inaccurate story of Pocahontas and John Smith. Also since this 1995 film features racism and derogatory comments about Native Americans being savages and also since the Native Americans were driven out of their homes and were killed by European settlers.
This controversial 1995 Disney movie Pocahontas along with the 1997 Pocahontas 2 Journey to the New World could end up banned like Song of the South, since I'm predicting Disney will plan on replacing Pocahontas with a brand new Native American princess like "Talise" which will only focus on her tribe and how she is trying to help other Native American tribes get along and use the same Pocahontas songs in "Talise"
Also Disney will likely discontinue the Pocahontas merchandise at Disneyland, Disney World and other Disney stores like with Splash Mountain, since I think it's now considered disrespectful to profit off of the real Pocahontas who suffered so much at the hands of European settlers.
Also I'm predicting the mooning scenes with the baby's exposed bottoms featured in The Proud Family 2001-2004 cartoon TV show and movie will be edited to remove the mooning scenes. And the movie Pinocchio 1940 will remove the Native American Tobacco Row scene, also the movie The Color of Friendship 2000 Disney channel movie will edit certain words like the N word from the film for more family friendly viewing.
So if Pocahontas 1995 film does get banned in North America by the Disney company, expect to see DVDs, Blu-rays of Pocahontas going up in price like with 6 of Dr. Seuss banned books.
How come "Song of the South" (1946) didn't make this list...?
