I loved that Anastasia fell in love with the baker! It started the idea that Anastasia wasn’t totally a bad character. She grows to have redeeming qualities and becomes a better person. Drusilla on the other hand... there was a reason why she was depicted the way she was in Once Upon a Time. She ended up being WORSE than her mother in that arc, and that’s saying a LOT!
+Madi Bendy Ming Na didn't voice Mulan in the second one. Lea Solanga (who was Mulan's singing voice in the first movie) did Mulan's voice in the sequel.
No. Lea Solanga was still the singing voice but Ming-Na did return to do the regular voice. I actually watched the sequel a while ago and she was in a documentary for it.
I actually really liked Pocahontas 2 as a kid. It's kinda loyal to the history of the real Pocahontas as she did end up moving to England. But yeah, I really miss her with John Smith
Granted the idea of Cinderella having to learn how to be a ‘real’ princess was entertaining, but I remember Anastasia’s story the most because, to me, it felt more relatable and entertaining as you want to see her happy and be with someone who loves her for her; compared to how she and Drusilla were in the original movie, that’s probably the best upgrade you can do. Personally, I always thought Pocahontas II was the worst.
If you prefer. I personally hate seeing a bad guy (or guyette) turning around. And she turns traitor in the next sequel and nobody thinks the worse of her for it. Sequels I find an unnecessary lot.
Kim Smith the first movie is great, one of my favorite Disney movies because of how it shows the beauty of Native American culture. But the sequel is just so so bad
these things arent mutually exlusive to eachother and can still be true at the same time but honestly most of these movies are shit because of no memorable songs and shit animation feels more like a chinese knockoff than anything kinda sad how many people seem to have nostalgia for this trash
they could try actually talking about the problems with these movies: poorly animated, bad write-in songs, meaningless stories, and a lot of them having 0 heart.
I literally cried because EVERY other Disney princess got a happy ending BUT HER WHICH IS DISGUSTING AND WRONG POCAHONTAS AND JOHN SMITH SHOULD’VE GOTTEN BACK TOGETHER LIKE WTF WHY WOULD SHE CHOOSE THE OTHER GUY
I was surprised they added Little mermaid 2 and 3 on the list those were surprisingly good movies in my opinion they should have added atlantis 2 and Tarzan and Jane
@@charamcnuggers9534 i agree that movie not that good, it didn't add nothing at all just a ban on music and ariel's mother death is pretty stupid. The sisters are back which is good but they did not help ariel at all.

@@princesstruc2005 well, Rebecca Rolfe doesn’t exist in Pocahontas 2 now does she? Maybe THAT should’ve been the subtitle instead of “journey to a new world” considering there’s literally NO scenes when she’s onboard aside boarding and exiting. Pocahontas 2: Rebecca Rolfe would’ve been a more appropriate title
Well, the original wasn't too great. Belle basically develops Stockholm Syndrome and I'm like, 'So, he makes her his prisoner, forbids her to ever leave the castle, does not allow her to see her father, screams in her face, smashes various items around her and she falls in love with him?!'
@Bazil Well, to be fair she VOLUNTEERED to take her father's place and agreed to the terms, got given a MASTER SUITE despite her father having been kept in a cell, was mostly left alone, had only ONE place in the entire palace she wasn't allowed to go and she broke that rule anyway (which was the only reason the Beast got angry at the first place, and the ONLY time he really did anything remotely abusive) and need I mention that in the original this all happened in a single night, during which she escaped, nearly got killed by wolves, got saved by the Beast and then hauled his butt back to the castle and nursed him until morning, after which they begin to resolve their differences. A. Single. Night. Vs all those weeks/months she CHOOSE to remain there for (note he never again reinforced her sentence during this time, so arguably she could have left sooner if she had only asked or done so sooner). And the Beast hardly did all that much to her, and the few things he did do to her (90% was just yelling) was in response to her stubbornness which arguably rivals his own. For instance, in the "join me for dinner" scene she holds her own in an argument with him quite well once she has moved on from her initial distress, which is something a hapless victim with Stockholm Syndrome would not do (they would more likely acquiesce to their abuser's demands). She willingly put herself in her situation by trading places with her father, stubbornly refusing to eat, insisting she could stay in her room forever rather than eat with him and then going into the ONE forbidden area of the castle. So in short, she is certainly no hapless victim, let alone one with Stockholm Syndrome characteristics, since all throughout her BRIEF mistreatment she is assertive and independent and mostly does not take his crap. Stockholm Syndrome involves the victim defending the actions of their abuser, which Belle certainly does not (how can anyone forget the famous line "well, you should learn to control your temper"?) Yes she eventually forgives him, BUT only after he genuinely cleans up his act with her help. If their relationship had shown signs of an abuse cycle, which almost all abusers tend to follow, then your case would be understandable. But since the original movie showed no more discord happening after that first night it is evident that there was no more significant abuse, that the Beast was not inherently abusive, just that he really did just need to learn to control himself better, which he did without further difficulty (keep in mind that he hadn't been around humans for at least 10 years and had only had objects as company so he had to reacquaint himself with his human side).
Abigail, I so agree with you. Kronk's New Groove has become one of my favourite movies. It had so much going for it, especially the Eartha Kitt character which was so compelling and entertaining. I think it's just as important to have an interesting and sympathetic antagonist as it is to have an interesting more heroic character because an antagonist/villain who's one-dimensional and all bad lowers the tone of the project. The best stories have all main characters as fascinating and likeable even if they oppose the protagonist in an immature or unaware way.
My thought exactly! I wasn't liking this list anyways but that was to far. But people with do anything to get comments on their content. Even negative ones still get them noticed and paid. Unfortunately.
Excuse me, I grew up on the Little Mermaid 2. The Little Mermaid was/is my favorite Disney movie. Both 1 & 2. Honestly though, that dress Ariel wears in the second movie is gorgeous.
There's no possible way that Tod and Copper has ever separated the time of joining in a dog band. Were in the original film, they only knew each other for three days until Copper went with Amos Slade and Chief to a hunting trip, where they spent the winter out there into the Spring, and we see both the dog and fox grow up, which makes sense, considering how fast both species reach adulthood, which is exactly what happens by the time Copper comes back!
Hey, I liked The Little Mermaid II! Lots of people hate it because 'it's just the first movie in reverse' but isn't that the point? Ariel still chooses to become human and leave her family behind; Melody LEARNS from that mistake when given the same journey and chooses to unite both worlds while remaining with her family. What Ariel failed to learn, Melody did. And what makes it even more likable is that Melody didn't do it for love. Ariel chose to give up her entire WORLD for a man. Melody chose to go on her journey and then unite the worlds because of HERSELF. Man, I loved that movie as a kid.
Ursula's plan relied mostly on her magic. Morgana was less powerful - having to use Ursula's magic to turn Melody into a mermaid as part of her plan - but that just means that most of her plan relied on her ability to charm Melody (Ursula didn't even try to be not-creepy) and create a plan to steal the trident that didn't evolve spells galore (like how Ursula relied on magic contracts and spells, an enchantment to disguise herself as Vanessa and bewitch Eric, etc.)
***** Yeah, she was making herself more 'approachable'. Even if she legitimately forgot that Melody doesn't eat that stuff, the way she was acting so 'hospitable' made her seem less like the evil hag she really was.
I actually really liked lady and the tramp 2. It had a similar story line, but. Lady and the tramp was about someone who lived life rough, finds a nice girl, gets taken into a good home. Lady and the tramp 2 was about a son who viewed having a good home as restrictive of freedom. He moves out, lives his own rules. He feels betrayed because he realises his father lived the life he was forbidden from living. He meets a girl who would who lives a rough life, but would give anything to be part of a stable home. Filled with guilt, he goes back to his father. There's so much more elements than the same storyline.
Say about these what you want - Kronk's New Groove and Mulan 2 were two major movies of my later childhood and will always keep a special place in my heart
Being a child when all of these came out, I thought they where the best things on earth, so I find it hard to agree since I loved all the sequals except for Pocahontas 😂😢
I haven’t seen all of them, but Mulan 2, Cinderella 2 wasn’t terrible but only outstanding part was Anastasia, and Cinderella 3 as Anastasia is defiling her mother’s orders, both Little Mermaid were so awesome, and Lady and the Tramp 2 actually was pretty decent, despite Lady herself isn’t in it as much and her daughters are basic snobs who kinda disown Scamp because he’s a wild child. Pocahontas 2 can just go to hell, only good part was Where Do I Go, otherwise -10 stars and the movie got so much hate its in its own category
Yeah he was replaced because Eddie Murphy was playing Donkey on Shrek when Mulan 2 came out. He couldn't do both because of Shrek being a Dreamworks movie and I don't think Disney likes them very much.
Growing up Pocahontas was my movie. I loved it. I got so excited about a sequel and was VERY disappointed in it. I actually wanted to cry, it was nothing like the original movie and was majorly disappointed with the fact she ends up with someone else.
The issue with Pocahontas ending up with Rolfe is the fact that in real life that's who she married. In real life Pocahontas was 12, and John Smith was 40, so the implications behind their paring in the first film were pedophilic. Infact the second film was actually made in response to this criticism that Pocahontas's descendants were constantly bringing up with Disney. Fun fact, she has family that is still alive today that absolutely detest the first film soly because of the implied romance between her and Smith. The creation of the second film actually got them to leave Disney alone. and personally I find John Rolfe to be a far more interesting character than John Smith.
^^ I am aware of the ages and history with the real people, however, in the movie that wasn't the case. I just feel it took away from the original movie when everything that happened in the first Pochahontas changed in the second movie. It was almost just a repeat with the only difference being a different country. Though I do understand and appreciate the history, I just don't think it flowed well with her second movie as things were still different in the first movie and they can't change that.
Wait, WatchMojo did WHAT?!?!?!?!?! *revisits this video* 🤬 Seriously, it’s upsetting that people are mad that Mulan II and The Little Mermaid II are on this list yet they are not upset that Pooh’s Grand Adventure: The Search for Christopher Robin is on that list!
Cinderella 3 was a good movie. Mermaid 3 was television dross. I take that back. The Mermaid television series was actually pretty good, especially compared to Mermaid 3. Want good sequel animation and probably Disney's all time best sequel: Bambi II
Pocahontas 2 gets me upset, they build up this whole relationship w John Smith in the original, just make him look stupid in the 2nd one and for her to choose John Rolfe. I loved the movie as a kid though
Totally agreeeee!! I don't care about real-life stories when it comes to Disney... It's Disney... I just pretend the sequel doesn't exist. Pocahontas + John Smith = ❤️
Disney changed history with the first one, so why not the second? If they were so intent on staying true to history, why make their relationship romantic to begin with?
What even was that Beauty and the Beast sequel it looks like the Beast is an abusive boyfriend like he yells at her for simple mistakes, he forbids her to do things and controls her, she's always afraid of him? That movie was fucked up
I never saw it but was already getting that same vibe just from the footage used. Creeped me the f*ck out. Beast has aged _terribly_ as a character in general, I think.
I had the VHS as a kid. It was literally vignettes of stories that were meant to be individual episodes, separated by musical numbers. That little bit we saw with Belle saying, "Oh, I, uh... forgot about you" She's actually putting off the Beast because she's secretly nursing a baby bird back to health. It's a classic example of arguments going on over misunderstandings, because when the Beast finds the bird he's like, "OMG why didn't you tell me, let's take care of it together!!" Yeah, not the best written film. Like, at all. Actually, there was a point in time where my mom told me to stop watching it because of all the yelling.
same. after such a beautiful movie with great song that people to tears, they ruined it with the 2nd movie. she loved john smith, but in the 2nd movie she didn't give a shit.
I love Kronk’s New Groove, that is the best movie ever. I still watch it. The movie teaches you to be yourself, you don’t need everyone approval to be happy even your own family. It’s the best thing in the world 😡
AkaneaKurayami I really like Mulan 2. It took a look at the fact that Mulan was an exception not the rule about the female place is Ancient Chinese Society. And actually two of my fav Disney songs are in Mulan 2 (lesson number one) and Cinderella 2 ( follow your heart).
Tarzan 2 and Mulan 2 were great for the child audiences they were geared towards. I know I enjoyed them in my youth. The issue isn't that, however, the issue is that they just don't appeal to larger audiences like anyone older than 8, which is why they have bad reviews when looking at it from an adult's perspective. The original movies had more of an appeal to older audiences as well as young which is why they were hits.
If i had made the film, Smith wouldn't spent the majority of the movie left for dead, it would've been included a love triangle between Pocahontas, Smith and Rolfe, and the latter would've sacrificed himself to save Pocahontas.
@@izy_-sr3dr they had personality, you can see it when they have they montage in the tent singing about their dream boys or whatever and the rest of the movie afterwards
2:03 Leroy and Stitch was absolutely necessary. It served as the finale for the series and gave experiment 625 a name. It also revealed the names of all the experiments in the credits. There's so much about the series that would have never been closed up had it not been for this movie.
@@charamcnuggers9534 On the bright side, it gave distinct personalities to Ariel's sisters. But the backstory for Triton's hatred of humans contradicts the original. In the original, Triton's reason to hate humans was not personal, it was based on how disrespectful humans are to the ocean (like dumping their garbage in the sea and killing sea creatures).
@@charamcnuggers9534 I don't like it either it didn't add nothing at all, poorly written and it pretty boring most of it even the beginning not that great too short. Wish portrait of life was made it explains what really happened to Ariel's mother (her name is Atlanta), this prequel is just fan fition, no Ursula's past in this, they just made Athena's death up and believe humans killed her and trtion is just unlikable, everybody off character in this. The banning music is just stupid also Athena's death just a ship crash by the rocks so where the proof? There NO proof at all, this do not connect to the tv series at all.
@@charamcnuggers9534 What the point adding them? I agree to this, they did not stood up with Ariel during the music ban, I wish Athena wasn't a Ariel clone, the writers should named her Atlanta instead. This prequel didn't add nothing, everybody was screwed big time.
Kronk was my favourite character in the emperors new groove, more kronk is only a good thing. Edit: After scrolling through the comments I see that everyone knows the light of kronk
What I love is that these movies aren’t canon and literally have no promo & is ignored by disney. Pretty sure this was just the interns side hustle in the early 2000’s
Um the Lion Guard follows Kiara and Kovu as king and queen. A lot of these sequels aren’t near as good as their originals, but still do a solid job. And then you got others that change course to completely destroy certain plot points of the original, looking at you Pocahontas 2 and Hunchback of Notre Dame 2. But yes the Home Videos were made by trainees before taking on bigger projects, that’s why the colors are faded/bled especially in Pocahontas 2 and especially some of the animation is cringy especially in Hunchback of Notre Dame 2.
ikanian What Cyan said is partially true. The studio is now called DisneyToon Studios. The first thing they ever did was make the Ducktales movie. So, they did do something for an animated tv show but that's not what the studio is for. It's for direct to DVD sequels. They were originally located in the same building as the guys doing the tv cartoons. Now they just make the Tinker Bell movies. They also made the Goofy Movie and the sequel plus a few theatrically released movies
Time and money and people (I always believed that the younger folks that are still learning get their chance in those prequels). And yes, it's a shame.
Actually Milo’s Return was pretty decent, considering it was a deleted series. It would’ve been so awesome to see more about Atlantian culture and Queen Kida handling things
Whaaaaat that movie was hilarious! And creative. What other Disney movie sequel do you know that takes place during the original plot? That's actually really creative.
He was saying the large majority didn't like it. Of course there will people that enjoy the movie, since that same logic works with any movie, item, game, book, etc. But people don't listen to the small voices, they listen to the larger ones. Ones that have louder voices that may be saying, "down with the movie! It sucked!" kind of thing.
cant believe you put Mulan II UNDER pocahontas 2 .. In the original Pocahontas movie its all about the relationship of John & her and even at the beginning of the sequel she thinks about him. What made the movie the worst isnt that she couldnt show up as a strong woman its the fakt that she choosed Rolfe and Smith noticed it while he was so glad to be with pocahontas again. F R U S T R A T I N G. Mulan II was very lovley & entertaining to watch it doesnt belong in this list in my opinion. The worst sequel will be pocahontas 2
JaY x23 that was my whole reason in why i can’t watch Pocahontas II to this day. as a kid, i was highly disappointed when Pocahontas didn’t end up with Smith and went with Rolfe instead. i know Disney was following along (sort of) to history but the inner hopeless romantic in me was heart broken
Mulan 2 turned both Mushu and Mulan herself into ass holes. like The whole of china was being affected and Mulan just ignored the job she was given and just insisted that the princesses marry for love thinking nothing of what would happen to the rest of China.
Okay but to be fair Pocahontas 2 was based on 1 part of it's messed up origin, the part where Pocahontas gets kidnapped by British Colonists and Confronted to Christianity and while in England she agreed to marry John Rolfe and changed her name to Rebecca Rolfe, while attempting to travel back to America she ends up being wounded either from syphilis or food poisoning but anyways Rebecca ends up dying in the age of 21 so yeah that is something i guess
Really the ONLY sequel/movie I completely hate is Pocahontas 2. The ONLY scene that doesn’t make me scream in rage or want to puke my intestines out was Where Do I Go, despite Disney deliberately chose not to show her being informed of his death to prevent her feelings for him from interfering with making John Rolfe her new love interest, this is a beautiful, yet mature love song as she has to let go of John Smith, for good this time. No where near the legendary level of If I Never Knew You, but still so beautiful. Otherwise I feel most Disney sequels aren’t awful, just good noncanon stories except Lion King 2, Mulan 2, Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas, and Aladdin Return of Jafar and The 40 Thieves. Why the hell they didn’t use the same magic from these sequels on Pocahontas 2 to give us Pocahontas Smith is sickening and flat out disgusting and insulting, considering she remains the ONLY Disney princess without a happily ever after
Um.. excuse me.. can we PLEASE talk about how "Poo's Grand Adventure: The Search for Christopher Robin" was a DISHONORABLE mention??? Like excuse me but I grew up on the film and LOVED IT! It was adorable and cute. Don't be going near Pooh and his movies. WatchMojo you wanna talk about how "Winnie the Pooh and Christmas too!" was a bad classic as well? Cuz that movie was just as awesome too!
Agree. The songs were amazing. In fact the 2011 Winnie the Pooh movie is pretty much the same story but not nearly as good. It did have a little cleaner animation, but over all it was a disappointment. Now Pooh's Grand Adventure had the amazing cast and voice work. Good original story. Fantastic and memorable songs. And it feels more true to the characters than modern stories have. This list lost all credibility with that dishonerable mention. Where on the list is Lion Ling 1 1/2? Return of Jafar was pretty bad, but King of Thieves was amazing. Again, some really catchy tunes. I still enjoyed Mulan 2 despite the farfetched storyline. Not so much the music in that one, but the general humor.
I at least was glad 'Return to the Sea' and 'Scamp's Adventure' was on the list, but in my list, 'Scamp's Adventure' is the #1 WORST straight-to-DVD Disney sequel ever!
The Fox and The Hound 2 was one of my childhood favourites! How can you say that mid-quels are pointless? They add depth and establish the story like Bambi 2 which i love.
As someone who didn’t watch a lot of Disney growing up, but I did own the Fox and the Hound, I seriously disagree. I don’t mind mid-quels, but they literally toned the serious and dark tone from the original, turning Chief and Amos from seasoned hunters to cranky old neighbors next door. The ending is where them and Widow and Todd are having a little get together, which is so puke worthy given Amos threatened to kill Todd as a kit several times if he ever saw Todd on his property again. Plus the whole “Copper’s nose is broke” is so ridiculous, given that’s how he met Todd.
I think the same thing with my top two favorite Disney movies--'The Little Mermaid' and 'Lady and the Tramp', mostly 'Lady and the Tramp'. 'Scamp's Adventure' was sure a lot of dog crap for me as a kid
@@reynarodriguez9742 well, let’s just say Pocahontas was always one of my favorites as a kid. Didn’t actually watch the sequel for a while, but when I did I stupidly thought they’d finally end up together. Oh course Pocahontas had to get the crappiest sequel that went above and beyond than any other sequel of destroying a character to force a plot point to work. Even Pocahontas imo was kinda a brat as I noticed she snapped at Rolfe in several scenes for no reason, when she was never that snarky. And oh course she ends up choosing the jerk who spent the majority of their relief trying to change her into who he wanted, choosing him over a man that never tried changing her and was fully prepared to die protecting her.
@@kristinahuchison2511 Whoa.. that's a lot of information you just said, especially because when you said Pocahontas yells at Rolfe like a brat, it reminds me of the brat Lady was when she yelled at Tramp in the original 'Lady and the Tramp' movie. Okay, if everything you say is true, I won't watch 'Pocahontas 2', thank you.
I don’t agree with the majority of the movies featured on this list. How can someone dislike the Little Mermaid sequels, especially the one with Ariel’s daughter? and I love the Mulan Sequel.
Yes I agree, the Ariel movies and the Mulan movies are actually my favs Idk why watchmojo hates Mulan 2, maybe because Mulan and her guy (forgot his name lol) were arguing w/eachother and so on but tbh I found it good that they were arguing and that there was drama bcs a normal relationships include arguing.. and yes idk I just like it.
Kylie Crownover They are made by a different internal studio and are really only meant to cash in on the young kids who won't care about the story or visuals as much. I believe Frozen 2 will be one of if not the first Disney sequel made by the main studio.
Kylie Crownover I didn't either until I watched the second Pocahontas movie. It was so terrible I looked it up and came across the different studio thing and realized that all the sequels were direct to DVD instead of theatrical releases.
All the sequels where made by Toon Disney instead of Walt Disney Studios for money reasons. The only exceptions where Winnie the Pooh, The Rescuers Down Under, and Fantasia 2000.
Gothic Galaxy they really are running out of ideas and the don't really watch anything they talk about, if they did they wouldn't screw up character names and say things that didn't happen or whatever. also Watchmojo are complete idiots for saying that Leroy and Stitch was "Unnecessary" since Leroy and Stitch was the conclusion of the story as a whole. It's like their saying endings of stories are unnecessary. Totally glad I never subscribed to this channel, they have no idea what their talking about when they talk about it.
Sooner or later this channel will admit that they don't do their research or whoever does do the research is terrible and the channel will just end these ridiculous top tens and just retire.
Oh come on! I loved the Little Mermaid II: Return to the sea! I always wanted Ariel to know what her father went through when she wanted to turn into a human and because of that sequel she did and she forgot about herself and gave her daughter something that she wanted and loved. Return of Jafar was one of my favorite disney sequels of all time I really just love anything Aladdin and would probably watch anything with him, Jasmine, Abu, Genie, the Magic Carpet and the Sultan.
I thought it was OK, as well as Belle's Enchanted Christmas. I haven't seen most of the straight-to-video movies, but from this and the previews, it seems like the Aladdin sequel would have the best chance of being any good, since it has 1,001 Arabian nights stories to pull from.
I loved the little mermaid 2 return to the sea! I grew up watching the little mermaid and the little mermaid return to the sea and loved all of them! Melody is a relatable character with the insecurity of a girl her age, and I love how it twists from wanting to get out of sea and see the land to wanting to get off the land and explore the sea! Ariel is also like the only Disney princess who has a child and has a movie based on the child! I just really loved that movie and the songs never got out of my head!

Pocahontas II never happened, end of.
Return to Never Land never happened either, end of.
It happened in real life though.. She married John Rolfe and became Rebecca Rolfe
Pocahontas 2: Rebecca Rolfe would’ve been a more appropriate title
..wow that Beauty and the Beast one kinda screams domestic abuse.
Well, the original wasn't too great. Belle basically develops Stockholm Syndrome and I'm like, 'So, he makes her his prisoner, forbids her to ever leave the castle, does not allow her to see her father, screams in her face, smashes various items around her and she falls in love with him?!'
Ray Diaz with extra hair on his body
Kabbaway yes, yes, yes, and umm yessss
Well, duh, that's the entire point of Beauty and the Beast.

Pardon ME but "Kronks New Groove" was a MASTERPIECE
I'm so hurt by this
Abigail, I so agree with you. The best stories have all main characters as fascinating and likeable even if they oppose the protagonist in an immature or unaware way.
i COMPLETELY agree!

Same. All of the little mermaid movies were my favorite Disney movies.... even the prequel
I loved Little Mermaid II as well!
Not really. Morgana was less powerful but she was smarter.

Did you just assume my gender?!
It was my favorite movie growing up. I watched it so often at one point the DVD would crash near the end!

I HAD NO IDEA Mushu was replaced?!?!?! DUDE he did a fantastic job I thought that was still him! o_o

Simachinima not related, but I just gotta say, I LOVE YOUR MACHINAMAS!!!!!!
Growing up Pocahontas was my movie. I loved it. I got so excited about a sequel and was VERY disappointed in it. I actually wanted to cry, it was nothing like the original movie and was majorly disappointed with the fact she ends up with someone else.

I love the first one. it's one of my favorite movies. When I heard of the sequel, I didn't watch it till I was 13.
Lexie LaPoint Same! 😂
^^
I am aware of the ages and history with the real people, however, in the movie that wasn't the case.

Adamasutojr AJR and Will N I know, but I'm not realistic and I love that Disney's not realistic at all.... Man, IT IS DISNEY :O
That movie was fucked up
sophia K Lana💛
I never saw it but was already getting that same vibe just from the footage used. Creeped me the f*ck out.
Beast has aged _terribly_ as a character in general, I think.
I had the VHS as a kid. It was literally vignettes of stories that were meant to be individual episodes, separated by musical numbers. That little bit we saw with Belle saying, "Oh, I, uh... forgot about you" She's actually putting off the Beast because she's secretly nursing a baby bird back to health. It's a classic example of arguments going on over misunderstandings, because when the Beast finds the bird he's like, "OMG why didn't you tell me, let's take care of it together!!"
Yeah, not the best written film. Like, at all.
Actually, there was a point in time where my mom told me to stop watching it because of all the yelling.

Tarzan II is not a sequel, it's a midquel
Tarzan 2 and Mulan 2 were great for the child audiences they were geared towards. I know I enjoyed them in my youth. The issue isn't that, however, the issue is that they just don't appeal to larger audiences like anyone older than 8, which is why they have bad reviews when looking at it from an adult's perspective. The original movies had more of an appeal to older audiences as well as young which is why they were hits.
Ikr they were bad yes, but I still loved them

@@charamcnuggers9534 On the bright side, it gave distinct personalities to Ariel's sisters. But the backstory for Triton's hatred of humans contradicts the original. In the original, Triton's reason to hate humans was not personal, it was based on how disrespectful humans are to the ocean (like dumping their garbage in the sea and killing sea creatures).

@@charamcnuggers9534 What the point adding them? I agree to this, they did not stood up with Ariel during the music ban, I wish Athena wasn't a Ariel clone, the writers should named her Atlanta instead. This prequel didn't add nothing, everybody was screwed big time.

I never understood why Disney's sequels decrease in animation quality. Is that like an official rule or something like that?
ikanian What Cyan said is partially true.
I live in constant denial that "Hercules: Zero to Hero" and "Atlantis: Milo's Return" exist.

He was saying the large majority didn't like it. Of course there will people that enjoy the movie, since that same logic works with any movie, item, game, book, etc. But people don't listen to the small voices, they listen to the larger ones. Ones that have louder voices that may be saying, "down with the movie! It sucked!" kind of thing.
lava dragon hoarder AGREED
Game wolf as a kid it was for me
cant believe you put Mulan II UNDER pocahontas 2 ..
The worst sequel will be pocahontas 2
words of truth
JaY x23 that was my whole reason in why i can’t watch Pocahontas II to this day. as a kid, i was highly disappointed when Pocahontas didn’t end up with Smith and went with Rolfe instead. i know Disney was following along (sort of) to history but the inner hopeless romantic in me was heart broken
Mulan 2 turned both Mushu and Mulan herself into ass holes. like The whole of china was being affected and Mulan just ignored the job she was given and just insisted that the princesses marry for love thinking nothing of what would happen to the rest of China.
JaY x23 I agree these make me sooo mad since their so unrealistic 😡😡😡
Okay but to be fair Pocahontas 2 was based on 1 part of it's messed up origin, the part where Pocahontas gets kidnapped by British Colonists and Confronted to Christianity and while in England she agreed to marry John Rolfe and changed her name to Rebecca Rolfe, while attempting to travel back to America she ends up being wounded either from syphilis or food poisoning but anyways Rebecca ends up dying in the age of 21 so yeah that is something i guess
POOH'S GRAND ADVENTURE IS ONE OF THE BEST WINNIE THE POOH MOVIES, HOW DARE YOU EVEN PUT IT ON THIS LIST
I know right, It's Pooh's first movie not as sequel.....I think. I don't think so.
I kinda don't agree with most of this list to be honest
Same
Me neither.
Same, i like a lot of theas movies
I WAS GOING TO SAY. The Search for Christopher Robin was one of my all-time favourites
P-o-o-h; Pooh, and I thought that was a great movie too.
Seriously, it's pretty much my favorite movie of all time
@@bookideemcnerd9572 Agreed 100%
One of my childhood's greatest movies.
WatchMojo royally screwed up here.
Me: *sees thumbnail* and *sees title*
Me: I AGREE!
I’m really disappointed Pocahontas 2 wasn’t 1, given it easily got waay more hate than all the other sequels combined
I at least was glad 'Return to the Sea' and 'Scamp's Adventure' was on the list, but in my list, 'Scamp's Adventure' is the #1 WORST straight-to-DVD Disney sequel ever!
Out of every Disney sequel movie, Lion King II is the best move *EVER*
Yes! I agree!
Absolutely! It's the only sequel that I can stand.
It's up there with Bambi 2
FACTS
Yep
Mulan II was actually good, idk why it's on this list
*in my opinion Mulan 2 was actually good.
Please speak for yourself.
KRONK'S MOVIE IS AMAZING
THAT'S BLASPHEMY
I AGREE
Yeah I agree
YES
Walkiria Toepper Thats right!
AGREED that’s my favorite movie
Cinderella twist in time is so good
yessss I love that movie
SO GOOD. I own it on dvd
Never seen it😕
Jane 26 ahhh I’m sure you could find it online somewhere!
Georgia Twomey I'll try!
Oh, and my personal favourites......
Pocahontas 3: Pocahontas falls for a third guy
Cinderella 4: filing royal taxes
Alladin 4: Jafar may need glasses
🤣
Mia ʕ•ع•ʔ nice 👍
pocahontas 4 : Pocahontas is gay
Pocahontas 5:her men and woman meet each other
Mia ʕ•ع•ʔ love the last one, quoted from Family Guy lol
i actually love Mulan 2 and The Little Mermaid 2 🤷🏽♀️
How Disney could destroy so beautiful love of Pocahontas and John Smith in the sequel? I wish the Pocahontas 2 disappeared.
I agree this is the only sequel I completely hate. Only part I’m willing to watch is Where Do I Go, otherwise it deserves to burn in h*ll
I think the same thing with my top two favorite Disney movies--'The Little Mermaid' and 'Lady and the Tramp', mostly 'Lady and the Tramp'. 'Scamp's Adventure' was sure a lot of dog crap for me as a kid
@@kristinahuchison2511 Wow... you sound like my hate for 'Lady and the Tramp 2' 😲
Thats on this list?! The fuck those were my favorite i watched it over and over as a child
Half of them I agree with and the other half I don’t.
me too
Yes I agree, the Ariel movies and the Mulan movies are actually my favs
Idk why watchmojo hates Mulan 2, maybe because Mulan and her guy (forgot his name lol) were arguing w/eachother and so on but tbh I found it good that they were arguing and that there was drama bcs a normal relationships include arguing.. and yes idk I just like it.
this opinion is objectively bad
Has anyone else noticed how horrible the animation is in the Direct to Video sequels?
Kylie Crownover They are made by a different internal studio and are really only meant to cash in on the young kids who won't care about the story or visuals as much. I believe Frozen 2 will be one of if not the first Disney sequel made by the main studio.
I didn't know that! Interesting.
The lion king 2 had good animation though
Um sorry, despite what everyone says, 'Kronk's New Groove' was good and my kids love it too!
D. H. Yup. I don't get what is so bad about it :(
D. H. i know
IK I'm mad about this video, I LOVE ALL THE SEQELS
MULAN II IS FAV
2*
"I shall call him ...
LEEEEROYYY JEEENNKINNNSS!!!"
And does anyone remember Aladdin and the King of Thieves? Now THAT was a good sequel.
Leeeroy Jeeenkins!!! Hahahaha I understood the reference!!!
mulan 2
cinderella 2
lady and the tramp 2
the little mermaid 2 and the prequel
don’t belong on hereeee
Truuuuu
What about the Fox and hound 2 in until I’m in love with that so
Kennedy Leonard I 100% agree!
@@paigec4931 Fox and the Hound II was a good movie
I hated the little mermaid about Ariels daughter but the rest are fine.
I loved more than half of the movies on this list.... is there something wrong with me?
Huggable Sloth No. WatchMojo ran out of ideas.
Huggable Sloth Nah, I loved Fox and the Hound 2, Scamp's Adventure, and Tarzan II
Edward West-Summers ikr! OFFICIALLY NEVER subscribing to this channel
Sooner or later this channel will admit that they don't do their research or whoever does do the research is terrible and the channel will just end these ridiculous top tens and just retire.
I 100% DISAGREE with you on Kronk's New Groove
Montgomery Lillthors OPINIONS
I liked it as well
@@Ariana_shingleton yea their making there opinion
Same
IKR?! It was so good
My heart *shattered* when I saw Kronk’s New Groove on this list 💀 I love that movie so much
Nope. Don’t even. I love Kronks New Groove. I saw it before Emperors New Groove.
Right. Mulan 2 was all my 4 kids favorite sequel where pocahontas 2.. not even on the radar as good sequels. And scamps adventure was cute!
THE LITTLE MERMAID 2 AND LADY AND THE TRAMP 2 DO NOT DESERVE TO BE ON THIS LIST
I agree
I agree. I loved both of those 2 movies. The others I can kind of agree with.
Makayla Xo they do
IKR!!
IKRRRRRRR
Oh come on! I loved the Little Mermaid II: Return to the sea! I always wanted Ariel to know what her father went through when she wanted to turn into a human and because of that sequel she did and she forgot about herself and gave her daughter something that she wanted and loved. Return of Jafar was one of my favorite disney sequels of all time I really just love anything Aladdin and would probably watch anything with him, Jasmine, Abu, Genie, the Magic Carpet and the Sultan.
samee
Me too!!
No you’re wrong the little mermaid two was actually horrible
