We got to where we’re at because of the mentality that it doesn’t matter who’s right.
This time I have to say that Lila's questions exceeded the guest's knowledge and understanding about the Church body and unity. Of course we as Christians must be One Church, and there are "no minimal" differences between denominations, sometimes there are so many and significant that we are talking about different Christianities.
The marks of the true church are that it is One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic and the mark of a true Christian is that he or she is a baptized member of this Church who regularly partakes of her sacraments. Such people can be guilty of profound moral failings - often more so than unbelievers - but can nevertheless die in a state of grace if they are repentant and penitent.
There is no division among Christians. Christ founded only one Church. Obstinate heretics, schismatics, and apostates have no place in that Church. The Church is not only not divided, it is impossible for the Church to be divided.
@@beyond0077 Which means they are no longer members of His Body the Church. That is very simple theology, and was best explained by Augustine. A severed limb does not possess the life of the body. But, tell me, how can someone be a Christian who follows a Christ of their own imagination, and not Christ as He has revealed Himself?
The Mass and Holy Communion have been abandoned by every Christian who does not attend the Tridentine Mass. It’s most difficult to be a true Catholic. I love Tradition but it’s a real wake up call, being raised in Modernism. I’m truly understanding God’s great mercy for sin. The Sacrifice of the Mass truly heals our heart because you are compelled to go to Confession, or you don’t stay traditional. The Remnant Faithful is few, we hope to be recognized by our Lord, at our personal end. ⚜️
Love the fervor for the Mass and the Eucharist! I’d caution the sweeping generalization that only the TLM is valid (or that those that don’t attend abandoned Christ) mostly I’m thinking of our brothers and sisters in the other 5 Rites (Byzantine, Alexandrian, Antiochian, Armenian, and Chaldean)
Protestantism was the accidental cause of the relativism we see today for details see Brad Gregory's work "The Unintended Reformation: How a Religious Revolution Secularized Society"
God will reveal who is right and who is wrong and until he reveals to everyone with no doubt about the laws and traditions, all denominations are under hypotheses stage. I strongly dislike hearings Catholics, Baptist, etc saying that this is the truth and only truth. There’s only one truth not many so something went wrong in communication. That’s why I take religion with a grain of Salt because the flesh is talking in these groups not God.
That was already revealed 2000 years ago. We are not sheep allowed to stray wherever we will. Nor are we orphans bereft of guidance. We are all members of the same Body and it is not the body of some multi-limbed multi-headed monster. It is the Body of Christ. Those who attach themselves to another head do indeed attach themselves to another body. These are the dogmatic pronouncements of the Church. "We hereby declare teach and define that it is necessary for the salvation of every human being that they be subject to the Roman Pontiff." Pope Boniface VIII, Unam Sanctum.
@@michaelogrady232 I’m not saying God isn’t real. I just believe the organizations/communities are false. I respect people’s religion but when they share it as fact to others is where I disagree. Catholic teachings, as an example, have good lessons but to say that the way Catholics practice their belief is the only truth is false and too bold of an assumption. Especially when there is other groups that may claim certain parts as truth that do not apply to Catholicism. I say this with no disrespect just observation and opinion.

No two Christians are at the same stage of their relationship with Christ.

Jesus found the Catholic Church and he prayed for it to be one yet throughout the centuries many have fallen away.

Yes. What do you think Jesus would say? Argue a bunch of earthly nonsense? Doubt it.

Protestantism is spiritual relativism.
