    The most useful thing in this whole video for me is the beeping on the inputs. I wish I could have just that sound in isolation over and over again.

    If someone is struggling, you are probably having forward and/or neutral inputs on multiple frames. So basically you're not doing it fast enough. You can use the Tekken overlay to check how many frames it took you to do the jet upper.

    • @overkillrick
      @overkillrick 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      how does the tekken overlay help ? i thought it just told you frame data ? Im consistent on p1 side but my p2 side sucks :/

    My brother just brute forced it though. He started with somethin easy like taunt into jab string then taunt into db1+2 then I guess into f2 string. Eventually he graduated into taunt into b4 when that was muscle memory, he'd practice taunt intk jet upper. He'd never do it in a real match but practicing that shit made a very lethal taunt into b4. You think Godzilla is scary try waking up to a consistent taunt b4 after a tech catch. You'd lose the round and get insulted for trying to tech Bryan near a wall.

  • @thefridgefreezer
    @thefridgefreezer ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Finally, a video that explains why you would want to do this move. All I see are guides on how to do it, but not how to apply it. Thank you. So my take away is that when correctly performed the opponent's only option is to force the taunt to whiff by backdashing or sidestepping? But the aggressor Brian can cancel the taunt at any time so bait a sidestep out of the defender in order to catch them with a tracking move?

  • @GranDaddyIceBox

    I’ve hit my first one in player matches weeks ago but it was really lucky and I couldn’t even do it again. But I just went into practice today and try it out a few times and I’ve been hitting it occasionally, like once every 8 or 9 tries. As a Bryan main, being able to do the optimal, high execution combos and the easy taunt follow ups felt like that first kiss but this?

    I'm playing on a stick. the problem I'm having is hitting f on the same frame that the knee hits. That means I have to push my stick forward with such a small movement that only one frame of f registers and nothing more. When I'm practising, I tend to push my stick to f so little that the f does not register at all and I instead get b2. This is strange, because when I'm taunt cancelling with f, I'm doing it consistently with a tiny movement, but when I'm doing the TJU I always get b2. My brain can't seem to get the middle ground, either I'm doing it so fast that the f does not register and I get b2, or I'm far too slow.

    • @DamageXcaling
      @DamageXcaling  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You already figured your problem 🥰 now work on that F input to fix it which is where you should cancel into first

    Haven't played Bryan but looking at him he seems neat.
    Just wondering, since the Jet Upper is a High, "does the taunt force the opponent into a standing state upon hit, or is the taunt itself a high, meaning they have to be standing for this to work at all?"

    • @DamageXcaling
