The Euthanasia Deception is a documentary and educational outreach initiative which exposes what euthanasia laws can do to a country’s culture in a mere 15 years. The case study is Belgium: euthanasia’s ‘ground zero’. Based on a series of heart-wrenching personal testimonies along with medical, legal and expert analysis, producers reveal how all of us become vulnerable when life and death matters are handed over to lawmakers and doctors.
The initiative is being produced by the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition in association with DunnMedia & Entertainment and is being made possible through the support of generous donors like you. The film is still in production. Donations to the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition will enable the completion of this historic documentary.

Can somebody explain to me why their opinion is even asked?
Like...ask the patient, not the family. Who gives a shit what the family thinks?

For people whose family members are facing terminal illness, the answer to alleviating their loved ones' pain and suffering is to provide qualified palliative care, whether at home or in a healthcare facility - NOT physician-assisted suicide or active euthanasia. Decades ago, I heard a physician from The Netherlands speak on the situation in his nation where euthanasia was recently legalized. He strongly cautioned Canadians not to go down this road, and he advocated training more qualified palliative caregivers.
We should be discussing the need to train healthcare professionals to provide good palliative care. We should not be advocating legalizing the killing of another human being, which is exactly what physician-assisted suicide is.
In 1993, the Supreme Court of Canada stated that it was not a good thing to legalize euthanasia in the Sue Rodriguez case, because in their view, and rightly so, it was not possible to ensure adequate safeguards to prevent abuse.
That is why I cannot fathom the logic in the February 2015 decision of the SCC - a 180 degree switch in thinking.
Thank you, Alex Schadenberg and EPC, for this video which highlights those abuses that the SCC once predicted would occur, should euthanasia be legalized.

Euthanasia is very important for people and animals suffering pain and incurable diseases. We are living in 21st century and we should understand that euthanasia is sensible.

So basically these people, prefer to have the family member to stay alive in agony for selfish reasons. doesn't matter if its physical or psychic pain, one should be able to decide over ones own life or dead. Ofcourse this can't happen overnight the patient should be asking for it consistently over a longer period of time, i don't know about euthanasia for physical pain, but to be granted euthanasia for psychic pain in Belgium is a long difficult proces where experts do extensive investigation.

But this is the problem, you legalise this and then what's stopping killing those with special needs? Or those who have been badly injured with burns or other grievous wounds? The point here is that killing people degrades them to being equal with mere animals. Humans are NOT animals and human life is so far more precious than animals (animal abuse is a whole other can of worms, not opening that up here). Abortion already has gone from being only used to terminate a baby in grave danger of killing the mother or some other dire situation, to being used to kill off the young human life for the whim of the mother. Euthanasia is guaranteed to slide very rapidly down that path to the point where murder will no longer be called murder.

What a load of Propagandistic Caca! Obviously, you know Nada about Medical Practice, Human Nature, Politics, Financial & Marketing Practices, Science, & History. No "dialogue" is possible without the fundamental ability to utilize Critical Thinking. No big deal....our State Schools are turning out millions more with the same disability.

Is it? Watch simone's case an 85 year old women who was euthanized in Belgium. Her process took 3 months. She decided to die the moment she heard the news that her daughter died during surgery. 3 months is not enough time to heal her suffering, and yet they euthanized her. Euthanasia is going way too far :(

People can be in a dark place mentally for a long period of time, that doesn't mean they can't start to feel better though. Another problem is wanting to die can almost become part of your identity, it can be hard to let go of that death wish, even when it doesn't seem rational that you still have it.
The death wish will of course fall away with time, and resources that make life worth living, but it takes a while to let go sometimes.

If the perosntakes their own life it is certainly up to them but that is not the case, someone else is always involved and whether you want to believe it ir not the linger of killing stays on for as long as that person lives. Be it abortion, euthanasia, war killing, road accident that a person has been killed stays and it never talked about. You will carry that burden it will remain and it never stops telling you that you killed a person. 1 in 5 people in the Netherlands are now killed without their approval but legislation says they cannot be; my wife was offered euthanasia and refused, my current wife's sister was euthanised in front of her eyes as hospital staff said she was too far gone; my wife's two daughters had abortions and my wife remembers a=every year and her daughters can never forget. The Netherlands is now introducing euthanasia for people who are not terminally ill. Death has a price and your creator will extract it from you day by day no matter what the reasons.
