The point isn't that abortion is wrong because your kid could end up being the next Beethoven. The point is that good and beauty can come out of any situation, no matter how bleak.

I see God's hand here. He had a very specific plan for Beethoven, & 3 times prevented his mother from taking the poison. Wasn't gonna let her foil that plan!

The final scene perfectly expresses the embrace of life that modern society so hatefully rejects. Ludwig is part of an ever decreasing minority of happy outcomes, but God will only remain silent for so long.

This makes the comments about every life having a purpose more real... I don't know the history, so I will take it as factual. We seem to think hardship means life has no meaning... that we shouldn't have to struggle... but everyone has problems. Everyone. We just have different problems. Hard things change us into better people or destroy us. I think GOD helps us find the way to becoming better people.

When I hear that music at the end to that scene it makes me think of how special each and every one of us is to God: "How could I abandon YOU?"

  • @PurplePosey40

The message here is that all life is precious. Psalm139 verses 13-16 say the following, For you formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise You for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in your book they were all written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them. God is the giver of life and as we see in these verses He is the one who forms the baby in the mother's womb. Every one of us watching this short and reading the comments was conceived and carried in our mother's womb and we were allowed to live so why is it that so many think it's ok to play God and take away the life of an unborn baby. Just because he or she is in the womb doesn't make them any less alive then a baby who has been born into the world. Ever watch a baby kick while in the mother's womb, well something alive can only do that. A baby in the mother's womb eats, moves, sucks his or her thumb, how can something that doesn't exist till birth do that...the answer is simple the baby does exist and so does life before birth. God in His Holy Word The Bible says "Thou Shalt Not Murder" look under exodus chapter 20 verse 13 which tells us the ten commandments given by God Himself and includes this one about not murdering. Thou Shalt Not Murder means you are not to kill period. That also includes taking the lives of unborn babies. These children cannot help how they were conceived and it's unfair to make them pay for what they have no control over. I agree that rape is an aweful terrible hurtful thing however the child that is conceived is not and is innocent, I am reaching out to women everywhere who have been hurt or ever conceived a child from rape and I want you all to know God loves you and loves your little baby too. He knows all you have gone through and wants to help you and your baby make it through this hard time. Pray before making any decisions that could effect your life and the precious life you hold within your womb. God bless you and your baby now and always.

This was so intense from beginning to end! Beautifully handled and so real! I could have watched for so much longer. To me it seems that pro-choice people get there side across and don't accept opposition, but pro-life people are labeled as horribly cruel and against women. This film makes it come back to the child. People who wouldn't kill a ladybug or a moth have no problem with abortion, yet can't understand that those who think a fetus is a baby, a BABY, are so saddened and heartbroken by what is going on.

What a beautiful story. This brave woman learned as she said how to embrace what she had and turn it into victory. And what a victory for the world in the gift of Beethoven. Today we want quick solutions to life's problems. I stead of learning from them we choose to escape from them only to run into more of the same. Christ did not run from the cross. He embraced it tosave the world.

In my view this is one of the most beautiful, humane films in existence, short or long. I had the privilege a viewing a showing with the director to answer Q and A. He wanted the film to be far more than "pro-life" in the narrow sense, but an expansive celebration of human life. And so it is, in all its pain and promise.

There is a purpose for every human born. These are: to encourage empathy, to bring love into others lives, to advance the well-being of society through healing, giving, teaching, saving, encouraging, working, adding to societal life in hundreds of ways, and if you saw "Heaven Is For Real," children can lead us to God. We have brains, and what we fill them with is directed by our free will. It shoud be the parents will to nuture a child by providing love, guidance and education, and if they can't do so, there are others who will help them, and, also people who adopt. A thriving society needs all children, even unwanted ones.

thank you for using the gifts that God has given you to create this film. As to your statement that you "never intended to promote" any agenda...the bottom line is this; you created something good because this short film speaks to people's hearts about the devastation of abortion and, more importantly, how God has a specific purpose for each and everyone He created at the moment of conception out of His infinite love. All good things come from God. Whether you intended to or not; as film editor & post production supervisor - this short film you cut gives glory to God...and that is a wonderful thing!

I wrote a story a while back that holds the same message. There once was a young girl.. She didn't know what to say to her parents or her boyfriend when she saw the little lines, but after a while it became obvious. She was disowned by her family, dumped by her boyfriend, dropped out of school, and started working. She had to work three jobs to try to make ends meet. She had a little boy, and he was her treasure. Whatever time she wasn't at work she spent with him, even if it meant being tired the next day. She worked long hours to make sure he had all he needed, and helped him with his school work when she could. When he was still only 12 she started getting horrible head aches and nosebleeds. She ignored them. He came home from school one day to find her unconscious, and called the ambulance. The doctor said it was cancer, and she did not live long after. The little boy worked extra hard in school, and got a full scholarship to a top med school. One day, when he was in his late forties he went to his mother grave with a smile on his face. "we did it mom." he told her. "all those years you sacrificed I made sure weren't in vain. We worked so hard, and we've finally got the cure for cancer! I wouldn't have been able to do it if it weren't for you. I just wish I could have saved you, but now we can save so many other moms." At least, that would had happened. But the girl loved her boyfriend, and she wanted to go to college. She couldn't disappoint her parents, so she had an abortion. She finished high school, went to college. Her boyfriend dumped her for another girl, and she partied more than studied. When the headaches started she thought it was just hang overs. When she passed out for long periods of time it was just the booze. She died suddenly, and with no legacy.

      Hey I got one too!
There once was a young girl.. She didn't know what to say to her parents or her boyfriend when she saw the little lines, but after a while it became obvious. She was disowned by her family, dumped by her boyfriend, dropped out of school, and started working. She had to work three jobs to try to make ends meet. She ignored them. He came home from school one day to find her unconscious, and called the ambulance. The doctor said it was complications from her teenage pregnancy, and she did not live long after.
The little boy worked extra hard in school, and became the founder and top powerful figure of a new Nazi-communist movement across the Western world. One day, when he was in his late forties he went to his mother's grave with a smile on his face: "we did it mother..." he told her. "all those years you sacrificed I made sure weren't in vain. We worked so hard, and we've finally conquered the modern world and crushed our enemies! I wouldn't have been able to do it if it weren't for you. It's a shame you never got to see my rise to power, but now we will make Mao, Stalin, and Hitler look like amateurs!"
At least, that's what would have happened. But the girl loved her boyfriend, and she wanted to go to college. She couldn't disappoint her parents, so she had an abortion. She finished high school, went to college, and got a full scholarship to a top med-school. As she pursued her career, becoming a key figure in a universal cure for cancer, she also married her boyfriend and they had a happy family. She became one of most important and life-saving people in history and lived a long happy life.

This short film was never intended, or I never cut this short film to promote the pro-life or pro-choice agenda. I cut this short film with the intention to let the audience take from it whatever resonated with them. That's what great film making is all about. As the lead editor and post coordinator on this project, it bothers me that both sides are claiming this as their own.
    Just my 2 cents.

The point of saving unborn babies is not to create great, famous, talented human beings. The point of saving unborn babies is to do just that----save unborn babies. Famous and talented, disabled, sad, happy, rich, poor.......everyone counts.

I can not believe that the lover's of death can say that it would have been better for Beethoven to never been born> they accuse the lovers of life of wanting to pass judgement, of wanting to :force life on these women" but what about the young women (with different DNA than their mother's who are pregnant with them.?) they have no human rights, to the Nazis Jews, Homosexuals, the mentally weak, Jehovah's Witnesses were non human's their lives "not worth living" and they created an undue burden on society. The absolute love affair that the pro-abortion people have with deciding if a life is worth living by their standards..., it is really frightening,.. really eerily reminding of when other true humans were stripped of their clothing, their belongings, their faith, their legal documents, their identity, their dignity and ultimately their right to even breath and exist. I am so glad my mother did not abort me, perhaps you would like to crawl back in your own mother's womb and give her the "choice" with you, to truly unburden hers self.., if you want death, then choose it for yourself, leave the helpless out of it, and truly, until the unborn are supplied with Uzzis, they are helpless.

Can you add diferent languages subtitles? YT has that function. EN texts are shown too short and it is hard to read and understand it and watch the film the same time.

Sorry, I don't understand why anyone would make a movie about an historical person...and have it be so historically false. Can someone explain?
