Your instruction is spot on and so very clear. It’s been a while since I’ve done any quilting. This last year I got into embroidery and did about 30 kits that I got off of Amazon. I am going to cut sashing and make 12 of them into a quilt and enter it into our county fair in September. With your help I now know how to create this lovely quilt. Thank you 💕Cathy
Thank you for explaining a step by step way to attach sashing strips to a quilt block. I’m new to quilting & you helped this rookie feel more confident.
Hi! I’ve been working on a Colorado Hand Appliqué quilt for years. Needed to learn sashing and I have to say your video helped me so much. I’m now assured to continue to complete this project! Thank you!
Hi, Cheryl. You are a good teacher. You are thorough giving full descriptions & repeating multiple times to make sure it is understood. Thanks for this lesson.
Excellent video & explanation. Just what I was looking for to do my sashing. Your pace was perfect. I am a visual learner so this helped me greatly. Thank you.
Thank you for making that so simple! I'm going to make my daughter a kindergarten quilt with a square for each letter for the alphabet, one with her hand print and a few other blocks. I was wanting to add some purple sashing since that's her favorite color and pastel dinosaurs on the back. This is going to help so much. :)
I enjoy your videos. They are clear and very explicit. You have finally demystified quilting for me. I was terrified before, but now I can try a baby quilt.
Thank you so much for your easy instructions. I always have trouble understanding what I am doing, but you make it look easy and your directions are excellent. Thank you
You are an amazing teacher. Thanks for your time in showing this. I've been teaching myself how to sew over the last 5 years and Utube is such a great source for information. I've never made a quilt with sashing because I always felt intimidated by it. Thanks to your video I have the confidence to push forward and upgrade my skill level. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😘
I am very grateful for your video. I love that you teach slow enough for a beginner like me. I have tons of blocks but now I will have the confidence to actually make beautiful quilts Thanks again
Hi Sherrill..I am a new quilter and have watched several of your videos learning so much. I appreciate how you go through each step with examples and easy to follow instructions. I have now made two table runners. The second one a little better than the first. It's a wonderful sense of accomplishment. Thank you so much. Dena
Greetings Cheryl and Thank You for this wonderful tutorial. I really appreciate straight-forward, no messing tuts and yours are some of the very best on You Tube. Clear, concise and hugely professional. You are a great quilter and a master of teaching. (PS. Adore these fabrics). Thank you for them all. Best wishes Marion in the UK.
I have looked and looked for a video to help me with my first big quilt. I needed the sashing steps and you have provided it here with clear and concise details. Thank you SO much for that.
I made a kaleidoscope quilt and sewed my pieces into hexagons without realizing the pieces to be sewn in strips. I wondered how to fix it so decided to square my blocks. The answer to my prayer is to use sashing strips to piece it together because the colors are so strong. Thank you, thank you, thank you...!
Thank you. I am not a quilter and am helping someone create a quilt from quilted squares her late mother-in-law put together. I’m a seamstress but this is geometrically sensitive for me.
Sherrill, I'm new to quilting and I thoroughly enjoy your tutorials. You explain everything so well and you make it seem so easy that you motivate me to try new quilting techniques. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. God bless you.
Perfect teaching video. I am sending my friend this link right now. Due to COVID are club does not meet so there is no helping anyone other than watching videos. Again great teaching one.

I love your tutorials. You are my go to whenever I want to know how to make something. I made a quilt this way, thank you. I hope you answer my question. Can I make a quilt as you go using rows of quilt blocks instead of 1 at a time??
Hi Blaise. Do you mean you want to stitch the blocks in each row together first, and then layer the cotton batting and fabric for the back with the row of quilt blocks? If so, I worry that when you begin to attach the rows together they won't line up properly. Have you tried stitching all the blocks together in the quilt top first, then layer everything? If you do not want to bother with binding, watch this tutorial. Go about half way through the video to see how I finish off the quilt with using binding strips. th-cam.com/video/3ex1IqVgpp8/w-d-xo.html Hope this helps. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.
@@TheSewingRoomChannel that is exactly what I was thinking about. I guess looking for an easier way than block by block.
