The cardigan looks so soft. I love the fact all 3 were made based on the same pattern. Just shows that with a little personal tweak you can create something that fits you and your preferences. Thank you Chandi. Have a great, happy weekend.
If I'd knit it for myself I would certainly use any shade of green 💚. But everything I knit or crochet is for loved ones, because while working on a project I am constantly thinking about the person I am making that piece for and I love how this is strengthening the bond I have with that special person. Therefore the color to choose for this cardigan would depend on who I would make it for ❤
Heehee I LOVE the outtakes❤😂 the color I hope to use is the Abalone kit & a few of October Opal, since I am SUPER FLUFFY and will need 8 skeins. I choose these colors for my mama who crossed over 3 years ago she was my everything and I miss her more than words can say.
I agree and understand handmade crafts. I was gifted an afghan by my little sister this Christmas. I'm getting tears even now. I crochet and knit so nobody makes me things, sadly. I taught her crochet, decades ago. She repaid me by making the most beautiful afghan on the planet, IMHO. I would like to make this for her.
I love making cardigans & sweaters, these look great! My go to colour is purple, but also earth tones just for the comforting grounding effect they bring with. Thank you! Have a magical day!!
I knitted my one and only short sleeve cardigan last year and it took literally a whole year. I frogged it so many times cuz of the mistakes that I almost gave up, but I finished it to be able to prove I can knit a cardigan. Ever since I’ve been sticking to your crochet patterns for a simple shrug or scarf. Every color in your dewy line is stunning but Apatite has my “go to” colors ( I also love Iceberg and baby’s breath- anything with blues and grays speak to me) - thanks for having the giveaway and sharing all that beauty 😊
So many beautiful colors! I love the Fool's Gold colorway. There's nothing like handknit sweaters. I can pick the color, the fiber, & the fit. And they last much longer.
There is nothing better than a lovely hand knit sweater. I love the deeper rich colors of your dewy yarn. Pansy has really gotten my attention and Ibisco or any sweater would look do lovely in it.
I absolutely love all of the patterns that you have. I think this Ibisco cardigan would look gorgeous in wisteria dewy dk. I just love all of the colors in it. Thank you for a great cardigan and beautiful yarn.
I’m so excited I just found you and downloaded Ibisco pattern. I love the style in this cardigan. I would probably knit it in teals and pinks of the aurora borealis. I’m so excited.
I set my clock early to catch the new video this morning. When I saw the new pattern, it was worth it. My project to stretch my knitting skills this year is a cardigan. I love cardigans and would love to make this even with the German short rows. My go to color pattern is red and black and I was instantly drawn t the shadow cat dahlia. I would probably be squealing the whole time I was working on the sweater if I won the 10 skeins of yarn. Have a great day
I really enjoy your videos and website you are right about making something I believe that when we do a project they are ONE OF A KIND and YES WE DO PUT PIECES OF OURSELVES IN EACH PROJECT. Love you friend keep up the amazing work..🎉❤
I totally agree with what you said about making something instead of buying it. It’s so fulfilling to say “hey, I made that!” especially when someone comments on how good it looks. I makes you feel so accomplished when you made it yourself.. And I think the cardigan is absolutely stunning in the red and I love those sparkly buttons..! 🤗🤗
I've always wanted to make my own sweater. I love the Gilded Rose Hues and think they would make a beautiful sweater. I love the colors, they remind me of what I think of colors for the Spring season.
The Ibisco cardigan would look lovely with the Nimbus Dewy yarn. I agree with you. You can't put a price on something you make with love. Thank you for sharing what you love to do!
I totally agree that cardigans are the best! This pattern looks so easy and hopefully quick! The Shadow Cat Dahlia would be my pick. Red just gives you a pick-me-up feeling😊
I totally agree with you that when you hand make something it becomes something special. When I make blankets for my family they always tell me that it's getting a hug from me when use it. I would love to make that Ibisco sweater in that beautiful red.
What a gorgeous, versatile pattern! Love those puffed sleeves, and YES the practicality of a cardigan is just excellent! I honestly love the Dahlia shade - my wardrobe is a lot of blues and greens right now, and this deep rich pink-red would be a great contrast.
You are so right :) knitting for yourself is soo great as you can completely customize the project, longer Arms, shorter body, the color you want etc. I love cardigans and would knit the ibisco in red as i just love my reds
I'm really liking the peach gelato colorway! Peachy, cheery colors are what remind me to stay optimistic when life starts feeling a bit dreary. Thank you for being a positive ray of sunshine!
I can envision my cardigan in the beautiful purple that you showcase. Thank you for all your knowledge and grace that you impart to all of us on this channel.
This is a gorgeous sweater! I will make it in lavender. My garden has 5 different varieties of lavender, one is even white! Here in the Seattle area I can wear a sweater all year long. Thank you for this lovely channel and for your sweet words of encouragement and friendship. I look forward to seeing your newsletter.💜💖💜
The cardigan is absolutely beautiful. Thank you for the tips. I am still a fairly new knitter and have never made any wearables yet other than a scarf. When I am able to move past being a newbie to being at least an advanced beginner I would love to try this cardigan in blues or perhaps plum or lavender.
I want to make all 3 of these sweaters! I would make this cardigan in purple - my sister's favorite color - and gift it to her. She's a kindergarten teacher, and a sweater is always perfect for a teacher 💕 I love what you said about handmade gifts, because it's so absolutely true - these are one of a kind, thought out, and uniquely planned gifts! So, so special 💕
Such a gorgeous cardigan and beautiful sweaters. I only crochet and not knit but it’s still gorgeous. If I did knit I would make it in the beautiful red tones or the purple tones. 🧶🧶 Just LOVE your little bloopers at the end…..so adorable & fun to watch! 😊🧶🦋💜
What a stunning pattern. I've been looking for a perfect cardigan pattern for a very long thime and I think this is the ONE. You know when you know. I love the Dahlia shade.
Chandi, I love this sweater. I would love to do it in a few colors to have it for spring fall and winter. Light blues would be beautiful, lavender like my krokus and yellow like my daffodils. Thank you so much for your choices and inspirations. I'm downloading g lots of patterns from your site and have been doing alternating between crocheting and knitting. Alternating these wips also helps with arthritis and trying to prevent carpal tunnel. Always keeping my hands and mind active. Thank you.❤
Gorgeous yarn. Ideally one in every color! You are so right about why I put my love & energy into a handmade wearable. Why would I want to have what anyone can buy off the shelf? I’m an individual and my wardrobe should also reflect that. Thank you for sharing. Cheers from FL😺
I am just thinking of making some nice and cosy sweater and I just cannot decide on the colour. I love a dark, burgundy colour, but a nice shade of green would be good too 😊 Thank you for putting out your pattern just at the right time! ❤
Knitting and crotcheting are so relaxing and satisfying... And the feeling when others compliment on my new garment. Now I think I need a pink cardigan 😊
Everything i knit or crochet is for someone else, Always made with Love. But… this one is going to be for ME!! I think it would be AMAZING in inky indigo. I can’t wait to start this. (As soon as I finish the 2 baby blankets and kitchen towel set i have on my needles and hook at the moment) Chandi, I LOVE your personality and enthusiasm!!!! Not to mention your GORGEOUS YARNS!!!Thank you for ALL that you do.
This is beautiful! That's so cool that these are all different versions of the same pattern!! If I made the cardigan, I'd want it to be in purple, but it looks great in the red! ❤
All the colors are beautiful but oh my that purple is gorgeous!!! Gifting something you made just makes it so much more special. At least that’s how I feel when I receive a gift that was made by someone 😊
Completely agree. Plus it feels incredible to wear something you made yourself! That shadow cat is hard to beat but I think i would do moonless night or be the storm one.
You and your cardigan are lovely.. cardigans are my favorite to knit and wear .. I think the Dewy brick would be lovely but the moonless night I would wear more.. but honestly I would wear any of these colors! I have never done a button band!!
Another beautiful sweater!!! The color I'd like to make this pattern is Atlas for me and the Pansy is perfect for my friend. Have a wonderful weekend! Love and hugs.
I agree handmade with love is really something special. It is a lovely sweater pattern that has the opportunity to change into different style. My color choice in the Dewy DK would be the Make Believe. Thank you for sharing.
I've only made a few garments, but for my grandkids. I really like the cardigan & the gradient versions of these sweaters. If I tackled a cardigan, it would definitely be a purple shade reminding me of the sweet scent of lilacs.
I would love to knit this in a pale champagne pink and yellow. I don’t know why but those two colors together just speak to me. Thank you so much for brightening my every Friday morning!
So beautiful! This cardigan is definitely on my list to do! I love the shadow cat dahlia color! Red is not my typical go to color but it looks stunning in this cardigan!
It’s about the joy of knitting and creating with love. Mine would have to be a turquoise fade! But I have a gorgeous coral hibiscus that blooms like crazy and I love it so much.
I’m tryin to decide between pink or blue. I’ll probably end up using blue because it would go with more items in my wardrobe. Thank you for another beautiful pattern ❤❤❤
Hi Chandi. This is a beautiful cardigan. Wonderful design by Candi Key. I won’t be making it anytime soon as I’m dealing with the loss of my husband. But if I do make it, I would choose the Dahlia color. Those are my favorite color tones. Hopefully someday I’ll make it. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful weekend.❤️
So very sorry for the loss of your husband, I know your pain as I lost mine 10 years ago. Be gentle with yourself during this difficult time, rest and take good care of yourself and in time your knitting will be a meditative comfort for you while you heal! ♥️🕊️
Sending my deepest condolences to you. Chandi's voice is so soothing, lifts my spirit everytime . She brings joy to so many, glad you took time for yourself here. Returning to knitting and Chandi's videos helped me work through the loss of both my parents recently, passing within 2 months of each other. Be kind to yourself during this difficult time
Oh I’d really like the yarn in a green or a blue shade. It looks gorgeous in the red, although lately I’ve made a lot of red items. This pattern in all its variations is gorgeous. Looking forward to trying at least one of them.
I love this! 😍 I wouldn’t change the colour, love the deep red and black speckle look in the pattern. I’m a crotchet, but when I see pieces like this, it inspires me so much to want to learn knitting. I know the very basic and that’s it. Here I go, love the challenge. Thank you for the inspiration! 🥰
Check out some of Chandi's older videos. She is a great teacher. Her videos are how I learned to knit. Here's a great starting video th-cam.com/video/ONVQCK_-rKc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=XXTgrQrND356SE98
We just released a crocheted cardi in DK a few weeks ago. It's called Omorose www.expressionfiberarts.com/products/omorose.html Also the suggestion by @megstubevids is great. Checkout some of our beginner knit videos. 😍
@@ExpressionFiberArts I’m actually crocheting the Omorose sweater as we speak…lol. So far it’s turning out really good. I’ll post it once I’m done. Thank you 🙏🏼😊
I love this, how cute would this be with flowers on it like the Malvarosa, I would love to do this in a gray with lavender embordered flowers on it. I love how you guys changed colors in this video, brilliant...
I''m feeling a deep rich emerald green for this. Bold enough to be special, neutral enough to go with everything. Although the yellow you showed is absolutely precious too (and my favourite colour)!
Hi! It's me, Gina. My friend and I are on our way to Stampcation and my laptop is packed, so I'm on her loptop to see this wonderful cardi!!! I'll get the pattern later. We'll be making greeting cards for a week. I brought my Chionte shawl to work on at night. Thanks again for making my morning beautiful. Love and hugs!!!
Loving this one! I can picture it on a family member who absolutely loves greens. I would think maybe Cypress for her...for me? Blush Brush or that glorious red in the sample piece!
I have never knitted a sweater or cardigan, but I would love to make it in the color showcased on the video, to stay within the hibiscus theme. I love red, and the black touches are incredible. Thank you for another great patter and the video showing the versitility based on color alone, its incredible.😊
Love the cardigan and love knitting cardigan. I recently knitted a sweater using the German short row technique that I learned thru your video, for the first time. It turned out amazing and I couldn’t believe how easy it was. For the ibisco cardigan, I would love to pick brown color yarn. Thank you for your videos.
You are so right about making your own sweater! I have sweaters that my mom made for me, that I can’t part with. One is granny squares, which we know are so fashionable right now. I am partial to maroon or deep red sweaters because you can get the exact color you’re looking for, so I will most likely choose the red. Or deep blue… Can’t wait to try a top down construction!
Oh, this is so cute. I am going to make one for me and one for my daughter as a Christmas present. I just looked through the DK yarn and looking at evergreen as a possible and I just got stash of EFA yarn in gray that would be perfect. With all the knitting I need to do, I'm starting my holiday projects in July this year.
I love the simplicity of the cardigan - and those puff sleeves! After perusing your offerings for the dewy d k , I guess one of the teals or Fool's Gold would be what I might choose. I would love to use a bright yellow but not certain if my skin tone would pull it off.
I can't wait to make this! I would use any shade of grey or purple. I don't care if it sounds boring, but I love wearing all the greys. Purple has always been my fav color, so I'm also drawn to anything purple I see!! 💜
Yay! I made the Malvarosa sweater with the Glade Hues kit, and I love it! (Of course, I made it not realising that Candy had already done the work to figure out how to distribute the gradient of colours, but it was a great learning experience for me to figure it out on my own, too!) I've actually been thinking about trying to turn it into a cardigan since my sister would prefer that, so this is perfect! I even have the yarn for hers (although I think I'd like to make one for me too)! I'll be using the Dewy DK Sea Glass Hues kit with some Ivory to make up the rest of the yardage if needed. Super excited that the pattern has been done for me now. Thank you, Candy!
No problem at all we hav a tutorial for that here blog.expressionfiberarts.com/2021/02/12/learn-how-to-work-german-short-rows-knit-our-sweetgum-cardigan/
The Ibisco cardigan is sooo cute! Looks elegant and easy to match at the same time. All Dewy dk colours are gorgeous, but I wonder how wonderful it would be in Cloghaun 😍 thank you for sharing fibre happiness ❤️
so true you cant put a price on the love that goes into items you have made. When I get a chance to make it I would love to make it in a shade of blue or purple
I got the pattern and love top down sweaters! They are so easy to knit or crochet. I will be looking for the wool to make this. You are so right, and every item I knit or crochet has a piece of me in them, and made with love, if I knit it for me, it is going to be ivory or pink.
It has been awhile since we have seen a blooper roll. Nice. Love yellow but it doesn't go with my skintone. Love red and black together so I would go with that colorway or if you have any jewel tones like a dark blue, burgundy, dark green. Thank you for all the wonderful patterns.
The cardigan looks so soft. I love the fact all 3 were made based on the same pattern. Just shows that with a little personal tweak you can create something that fits you and your preferences. Thank you Chandi. Have a great, happy weekend.
I love how you put into words the true significance of handmade items! This cardigan would be stunning in Lupine Love!
If I'd knit it for myself I would certainly use any shade of green 💚. But everything I knit or crochet is for loved ones, because while working on a project I am constantly thinking about the person I am making that piece for and I love how this is strengthening the bond I have with that special person. U got that right no body can buy the love u put in a piece you make, because it’s with passion u create that piece of art
Oh I love how Candy makes this sweater so easy for a newbie garment knitter like me. I would love to make this sweater in a soft pastel color. ❤️
I agree and understand handmade crafts. I was gifted an afghan by my little sister this Christmas. I'm getting tears even now. I crochet and knit so nobody makes me things, sadly. The copper dewy do yarn color is beautiful, so many of your color ways are wonderful. Thank you for sharing the pattern
What a gorgeous, versatile pattern! Love those puffed sleeves, and YES the practicality of a cardigan is just excellent!
I honestly love the Dahlia shade - my wardrobe is a lot of blues and greens right now, and this deep rich pink-red would be a great contrast.
Beautiful creations! It makes me feel so happy to give my projects to people and they wear them!
You are so right :) knitting for yourself is soo great as you can completely customize the project, longer Arms, shorter body, the color you want etc. I love cardigans and would knit the ibisco in red as i just love my reds

Oooh I love it! And the shadow cat colorway is perfect, saturated, mysterious and moody! Thanks Chandi!

Happy Friday! Beautiful pattern. The purple yarn is beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Have a blessed day everyone.

I have never knitted a sweater or cardigan, but I would love to make it in the color showcased on the video, to stay within the hibiscus theme. I love red, and the black touches are incredible. Thank you for another great patter and the video showing the versitility based on color alone, its incredible.😊
I've been eyeing your rose gold color way on other bases, but I just saw brick in dewy dk ... gorgeous! Oh and the copper too ❤!
You're so welcome 🌸
You are so right about making your own sweater!
I have sweaters that my mom made for me, that I can’t part with. One is granny squares, which we know are so fashionable right now.
I am partial to maroon or deep red sweaters because you can get the exact color you’re looking for, so I will most likely choose the red. Or deep blue…
Can’t wait to try a top down construction!
I hope you'll love it 😍
Cardigans will always have a soft spot in my heart! ❤ i would make mine in a cream or blue color (or both together 😍)! Thank you Chandi!
It will awesome to do this cardigan in Atlas dewy DK colour. Thank you for all that you and your team do !!! 💓
I love the simplicity of the cardigan - and those puff sleeves! After perusing your offerings for the dewy d k , I guess one of the teals or Fool's Gold would be what I might choose. I would love to use a bright yellow but not certain if my skin tone would pull it off.
Love the top down pattern and color. Red looks good on me. Thanks for your encouragement on a sweater pattern. I needed it!
I would love to do a pretty purple or shimmery lilac. Thanks for sharing your fun and informative videos.
I can't wait to make this! I would use any shade of grey or purple. I don't care if it sounds boring, but I love wearing all the greys. Purple has always been my fav color, so I'm also drawn to anything purple I see!! 💜
Love the red dahlia cardigan. All the patterns are gorgeous. Thanks for all you do.
I'm not sure what short end rows are but I love all 3 of the versions of this pattern....thank you!
💜 gorgeous pattern! Exactly what I have been searching for. I am doing mine in purple.
I got the pattern and love top down sweaters! They are so easy to knit or crochet. I will be looking for the wool to make this. You are so right, and every item I knit or crochet has a piece of me in them, and made with love, if I knit it for me, it is going to be ivory or pink.
I love the color that you showcased.. the Shadow Cat Dahlia. Truly beautiful!!
I really love the color Atlas from your collection. But this cardigan is gorgeous no matter what color is chosen.
Beautiful pattern, thank you ❤ the shadow cat dahlia is a beautiful colour and i would choose it as it looks gorgeous made up in the cardigan ❤
I always have such a difficult time deciding on colors! I’m leaning towards yellow or red!
It has been awhile since we have seen a blooper roll. Nice. Love yellow but it doesn't go with my skintone. Love red and black together so I would go with that colorway or if you have any jewel tones like a dark blue, burgundy, dark green. Thank you for all the wonderful patterns.
I love that beautiful soft gold color that you featured. So pretty! I would love to knit a sweater in that. It’s hard to find a really pretty gold!
Beautiful cardigan. Hard to choose which color I would choose, maybe the red or pink ones.
