This episode of The Best in Jest summed up is: The Baaybies and a guide on how to get thrown out of Disney World speedrun any% (the last part is naturally a joke). Lando's hypotheticals are genius to me in the regard that not only did they make me laugh so hard my sides ended up hurting, they're as detailed as game scenarios - I would love to know how he developed such incredible imagination and how I can copy that ability for my own purposes. I'm beyond impressed. Kein's intros never fail to make me smile, either! You guys are master chefs of cooking improv as well as funny bits. That said, happy to hear you guys enjoyed your trip to Disney World where magic and dreams never die! That's the one part of Florida I only saw from the outside when I visited there years ago, other than that I can wholly agree on the humidity being too much to handle. Especially when you're someone who isn't used to it, it's rough. Can't believe the trip started out with a whole incident; I was surprised to hear the man that sprinted up the escalator was let on the plane with a wound that grievous. It's like a rotating safety hazard, I'd be scared as heck tripping on one of those. Then again, they let the strangest people on there meanwhile you yourself are stuck in security because the staff pulled you aside for an inspection because the scanner beeped due to you having forgotten to take your belt of or something of the sort. On that note, from what you said it sounds like it really could've worked out either way. Sorry to hear you couldn't get a wink of sleep on the plane and that you couldn't check in until later in the afternoon but at least your friend came in clutch and helped you out, that's super sweet! Not to mention he was the gateway into the park, it's neat when you have connections you can put to work. Also seeing Christmas decorations and hearing fitting music upon entering the park... That's way too early, businesses and others jump the gun on switching from one holiday to the next way too quickly - at least wait until the end of November before getting started with festive stuff. All epic adventures compiled, your descriptions of the rides and attractions sounded so compelling and fun! Having someone around who knows the inner workings does beg tons of questions, you must've bombarded your friend with inquiries. Meeting neither criteria to be an actor who plays a character has got to sting, nothing is worse than being too tall or too short to play someone. Here's the part where I started laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes: Lando's entire "Lightning McQueen at Disney World gets into an accident and has kids defeat him in a sticky hand battle for the ages" sequence had me howling, the detail he went into with Connor being the tow truck after having his tires stolen or having his exposed belly become his weak spot. Glorious, I loved the mental image he painted of a fully crafted costume made out of a scooter, added skateboard pads with an attached microphone for extra sound effects. That followed by his oddly specific pronuciation of the word "babies" while telling his story of seeing those poor toddles get cooked like rotisserie chicken in the heat + humidity combo sent my sides into orbit as much as it did Connor's, he was laugh-wheezing like a kettle. 😂 In all seriousness though, I never understood the point of bringing your children to theme parks either, it's not like they will remember anything from that experience. Too many overwhelming things all at once, combine that with horrible weather and it's no wonder there's a memory blank; being too young to retain the information notwithstanding. Lando's one-liners each time he returned from the bathroom were a solid 10/10, "Sent that one to the Death Star!" and his line about Pandora's ecosystems not recovering still have me wheezing. Animal Kingdom as a whole sounds magical, in case I'll ever make it again I will keep the Avatar themed ride in mind! The Star Wars ride being this immersive sounds like a whole adventure through worlds unknown, the transitions must've been seamless! Your extended Star Wars discussion about scenarios, plotlines and scenes making or not making sense had me sitting on my bed like a grade schooler listening to their teacher, it kind of was educaional to me considering my knowledge in the field is limited. Listening to you two, I would now love to see the movies in full. It's cool that the area took place in a specific era of the series, never would have guessed you would have to move elsewhere simply to meet other characters! Oddly enough, the malfunctioning robot you mentioned sounded kind of silly to me. Venom talk in a nutshell: It's gooping time and then the Venoms gooped all over the place. Epcot being this futuristic town/city of tomorrow turned into a place where you could eat around the world is an interesting (and delicious!) concept! Seeing a tiger in Animal Kingdom is huge, that's so cool! It made me smile when he got compared to Pickles, rotund and large. But the fact that you went to talking about the hippo with a very colorful descirption of it using nature's bathroom and then utilizing a photo for communication when Lando disappeared ended me. No further questions needed, for sure! Eating and walking around certainly has its merits, the peace and tranquility are special. Theme parks should have you try at least a couple rides, though that's true. Never had oyster, generally not a fan of some seafood yet what you said must've been delicious! That shrimp mac and cheese in particular and I adored the drink Lando described, the little ducky floating in the drink has had to be cute! On the morning vs. night shower debate, in the end it's always better to play it safe and take one. In a humid region even more so. And not the Windows sound playing right as you were talking about episode editing. 😆 Never in my life did I expect to hear about a baby sacrifice ritual to Kylo Ren hypothetical at the end, on the other hand this podcast is unpredictable in everything that happens here and I would not have it any other way I was done for listening to that whole scene playing out. 🤣 Deserved win for Mr. Lighting McLando, thank you so much for another great podcast episode! Looking forward to what comes next, have a good one both of you!
Welcome home from your vacation and Lando's first experience of the east coast and the literal country of Disney World after the horror show that you both witnessed on the way over from the Red Eye. The logic of taking that particular flight is completely understandable but still, hahaha. Glad for that friend bail upon landing so you could sleep before Christmas hit you both at the park (love the Christmas sweater choice btw). Especially given that around the time you went Disney pre-tapes the Christmas Day parade and the December Christmas special. It's astonishing to even say that aloud despite how true it happens to be. All the parks and resorts do it. The baby and children conversation had me in stitches from having a similar upbringing as you two. There was no way at that age we'd be able to free range it. Even on concert band trips (Disney was the mandatory JR high festival trip) the conductor said to stick as a group, never wander off on your own. We'd have a meet up spot too even when we went to the zoo, etc. That being said the immersion and the vibes are incredible at each individual park ride and area. It IS astonishing, even in the backstage area for "performers" only. So very magical and so technologically advanced as you say. Artistic types could talk about their experiences and the media for ages! Star Wars and Epcot really did seem like the ultimate RP immersion experience. Both food and citizen-wise. The vibes of Epcot were my favorite of all the parks I visited tbh. Being able to go around the world without leaving one singular point. It was akin to if teleportation was as real as we wished it could be. (Hollywood park hadn't been built when I went so it was interesting to hear about) I stayed at the Grand Floridian. Not going to lie but I agree that walking around, the vibes and food becomes an ideal as we grow older. A very ideal day. Does that mean we're turning into our parents in desiring routine and tranquility? Maybe.. OK, we are. Our bodies too. With naps and our physicality throughout the day. Oysters and mussels are an acquired taste. Not bad but not something you'd write home about from a first experience too. Whether in a chowder or by itself. I'm glad you both liked your first experience. Shrimp and lobster has a bit more flavor. Some shrimp can even grow as big as a lobster, strange to say from an experience at one restaurant in SoCal. As for showers/baths on a trip I get the opinion about washing when feeling grimy only. Sometimes a day requires two other days not so much. Sometimes a morning shower or bubble bath is enough. So...I can't judge. Hahaha. It was so good catching up like this and just laughing and smiling. Thanks guys!
You don't need a kid to have a reason to go to Disney I don't understand it, it's like parents wait for their baby to be born to run over to disney. They won't even remember 💀
The Lightning McQueen hypothetical scenario made me cry laughing, and then you guys brought it back at the end and I cry laughed again😭 Thank you for the episode, and welcome back!🎉
Didney Lando evolution: bahbiiee with sticky hand -> Lightning Mcqueen himself getting the sticky hand -> Sending his own kid to sticky hand. Yep! Tigers are loud and tiger roars are loud enough to reach your bone. I saw one some years ago (it was in a tiger reserve and I was in an open jeep with my family) and I think we interrupted his hunt. So he walks away calmly to higher ground but turns around to roar at us once. Forget taking pictures, I didn't even realize when exactly had I started holding onto my sister for dear life - I realized I was grabbing her after the tiger turned around and walked away lol. Also PLEASE wear sunscreen and shower after a long day especially in a humid region, you guys please 😭 Glad you guys had loads of fun 😄 I can't believe you guys finished the episode, not with the best in jest pie, but with bahbiiee intrusive thoughts... Thank you for the special and insane stream, take care you guys! P.S. Can you please release the moo deng grandpa pic, I want to send it to my sis without saying anything.
42:35 I was even more blown away by this experience because it had suddenly started raining out of nowhere after I first entered the ride, so when those doors opened it was mind-blowing.
I kinda can understand where both Lando and Connor are coming from on the shower thing. I'd imagine a big part is Connor probably at least being used to the humidity a bit more, so it takes less time for his body to acclimate to it. Meanwhile, this is Lando's first time in the hellscape known as Flordia, so his body is a noob at dealing with the wet heat. Also, Lando's mentioned somewhere about having sensory issues with his skin.....I'm the same way, to where if I'm too sweaty I definitely need a shower or else I won't be able to get comfortable for bed. How he came across about it could've been because of overstimulation, but ofc I'm just guessing. At least if he ever goes back to flordia he'll maybe be able to prepare a bit better for it.
I worked at Disney World, and at epcot the cast members are all from the nation they're representing. They're brand embassadors. So yes, they're actually FROM China, Japan, Mexico, etc. Lol
Was missin' last week's episode, but we're happy with whatever kind of upload schedule necessary for the show to continue in a healthy state. Thanks for all your hard work! 🙇♂️
Sounds like the trip was fun, I’ve only ever been to whatever the “main” Disney World (I guess Magic Kingdom?) and Epcot, I preferred Epcot. I’ll have to check out the rest if I ever go back. I totally agree on all the Star Wars movie takes.
"Clamps your stomach, it starts squeezing you like a toothpaste tube" I've never heard something that explains exactly how I feel when my stomach is in pain from food I shouldn't eat 😂
When they were discussing Star Wars i'm reminded that palpatine's message is canonically in Fortnite, the message he released across the galaxy leading to Ep9 was locked behind an event in Fortnite
A fellow drop hater! I never thought I'd see the day when Lando had a based opinion 😂 They still don't know about the canon Eddie x Venom marriage and mpreg...
I can understand Connor not taking a shower. I went on like a 4-5 day camping trip, and didn't take a shower until the day after I got home. Sometimes yer just too damn tired to take a shower.
Brought himself to TEARS about a hypothetical of children hitting his belly with sticky hands😂
I had a two-men-of-contrasting-heights-shaped hole in my heart last week 😢
I could barely hold my laughter when Lando started on the Lightning McQueen sticky hands bit. Wtf was bro talking about??😭
It’s so amusing watching Connor laugh until he’s red in the face every single time Lando says “baybeh”.
Lando talking abt babies running off with their sticky hands was said with the same cadence as an asian father. it was incredible
The Great War between Night Shower and Morning Shower rages on. When will the carnage end....
21:56 Lightning Mcqueen bit
-theres a second part where they briefly revisit it, if anyone can find when that happens please timestamp that as well.

Lando and Connor: complaining about christmas decoration
Also Connor: goth christmas sweater
Me: ... bruh

@@OldManEatsOats yeah but the adults have to pay anyways so why not just go??💀

The Lightning McQueen hypothetical scenario made me cry laughing, and then you guys brought it back at the end and I cry laughed again😭 Thank you for the episode, and welcome back!🎉

I coud see it being that as you walk in actors sneakily joins the group to play the role of being chocked.
MOOD i resonated with the star wars part where they should go back to the old republic era, there are some badass stories there.
I just need Lando to do the lightning maquen cosplay at a con and tell no one he is attending
the end being “wipe your face connor i gotta talk about kylo ren slicing this 𝓫𝓪𝓫𝔂” and it cutting to creepypasta connor - is peak best in jest
The last minute story had me crying, we're so back baby! Plus, Connor looks so fluffy this episode!♡
42:35 I was even more blown away by this experience because it had suddenly started raining out of nowhere after I first entered the ride, so when those doors opened it was mind-blowing.
i love how red Connor gets in the face during these episodes after laughing so much
Glad u enjoyed school bread, it's the best treat to get here IMO, I wish I could send my US friends pastries

Was missin' last week's episode, but we're happy with whatever kind of upload schedule necessary for the show to continue in a healthy state. Thanks for all your hard work! 🙇♂️
Connor is completely valid in waiting to shower in the morning!
Okay, this is definitely my favorite episode so far. BABEHS
Sounds like the trip was fun, I’ve only ever been to whatever the “main” Disney World (I guess Magic Kingdom?) and Epcot, I preferred Epcot. I’ll have to check out the rest if I ever go back.

When they were discussing Star Wars i'm reminded that palpatine's message is canonically in Fortnite, the message he released across the galaxy leading to Ep9 was locked behind an event in Fortnite

I'm with Connor. Morning shower is the way to go, even after a day of sweating.
Ew that's nasty
Welcome back
I can understand Connor not taking a shower. I went on like a 4-5 day camping trip, and didn't take a shower until the day after I got home. Sometimes yer just too damn tired to take a shower.

The early gore part was wild. This shows how unreliable TSA is
