I think I'd tie steps together with low rebar running under like stringers to help avoid independent shifting/settling. As soon as the reveals are not parallel, they're going to look bad. That's just my two cents. Definitely looks awesome new.
This guy clearly knows his stuff. The attention to detail in this video is excellent. I've dealt with my fair share of concrete issues but this guy is spot on with getting the job done right the first time!
Looks amazing!. Agreed that stamped concrete looks tacky/cheesy, in the majority of applications. As you’d mentioned, regular finished concrete is a timeless look when executed properly. Great job guys!
I can tell you are top quality if you get work in Calabasas. People only pay for top shelf quality. This shows how much better the finish is when you use a pump.
Absolutely right about the no color. Its not like that anywhere else, Everybody is working and good help is hard to find
Hi Anthony! Wow! Another beautiful transformation! I wish I could hire you to do my patio/retaining wall/walkways/floating steps project. I know you’d love my ideas and I would trust you to get this done properly. Unfortunately I’ve already interviewed several contractors here in the DC area last year and I can’t find anyone even remotely qualified to get this done. This area is all about stamped concrete - I have a feeling that local concrete folks dont even know how to finish concrete to give it a smooth look. And when I start talking about floating steps, I either get a blank stare or an outrageously padded quote. 😢 Could you please make a quick video to show when your guys remove the 2x4 from under those last two steps? so how thick is the concrete where it overhangs? 2" 3"? use any fiber reinforcement or just rebar? if only rebar, any reason why you just sink them in? wouldn't that cause the aggregate to separate during insertion process and maybe cause a weak joint where a crack can develop since rebar is down there too? why no ties in the corners? I would imagine the perimeter could be stronger and would hold longer if the rebars on all four sides were tied.. no? just really curious and would love to add this to my portfolio. tx. good work btw!

Works great! But you said your good at matching the house!?
Very nice work. I'm curious as to what stops these steps from shifting. I seen similar from a home in Florida on a hill, built in the 60s. By late 80s, with all the daily rain they shifted and sank. I was shocked when I saw the pictures of the home newly built.
Hey brother ✌️they are all tied together with rebar so essentially they are one piece. Plus they are locked in from the driveway and sidewalk above. There’s nowhere for them to move 💯
wonderful steps how long is over hang worried about it breaking off
It won’t crack off👍
