    60° F is cold!! We are at 30 today and it is warm. Past 4 days it has gone down to 18°F! Another brilliant job. Quality work by a quality team.

    4"x4" at the bottom and 4x4 at the top floating? So the whole step i 8" thick? The final "floating effect gap is 1,5" ? I live in Poland and this kind of sidewalk/drivaways aren't popular at all. But I'm finishing my house right now and I want those floating stairs :)

    I'm a carpenter/form setter and I truly appreciate the thought put into this work. I've made some amazing steps before and these look so good I want to just go and build some just to get that satisfaction of building them with my own hands 😂... Great video

    How do you remove the 4x4 (or is it not a 4x4?) from the second pour? It seems like it would be trapped, but the video shows it isn't there, so how did it come out? Thanks for your time and a great video!

    beautiful work these guys are amazing, what got me is the "60 is freezing to me" lol we just had a 700 yard pour with the local union here in Michigan at 27 degrees. Michigan is not for me

    Is it there any way to pour a layer of concrete in top of a compacted milling 4" tick 40' x 40' area? To used as a patio area (No car traffic)

      Hey Jacob👊the pump is a 3/8 pea gravel pump. You can basically pump any slump you want 💯

    I'm guessing you paid about 200 bucks a yard for the concrete.
    350 for the pump reach day.
    Short load mini'm i'm guessing you're probably over ten grand eleven grand

    Awesome job - I've been searching for a video just like this for a long time! Can I ask how long after the pour it was that you removed the formwork around the sides? I heard you say you waited a day before removing the 4x4, but keen to know how soon you were able to take the sides off so you could give them a clean finish. Thanks!

      I pulled all the forms where I was going to face that day. The 4x4 I stripped the next day.

    Yup this is the new look that's been blowing up the past year or 2. I just wouldn't go as far to say "it's impossible" to do in one pour. I can think of a couple different ways to do it in one pour. But yes I totally agree it's def better to do in 2 pours. (as long as ready-mix didn't fuxk u and send u a different mix that never cures out the same)

    great video. may i ask, what was the gap distance on the rise between steps to create the floating effect? looks around 2 inches. also, how for out does the nose protrude?

    how small of a job are you guys willing to take? our contractor sucks at pouring concrete and designed 36" width tiny steps and they are sticking to their crappy design, but we want wider ones.
