put a "Y" at the input, a propane orifice and a natural gas orifice, a valve and quick connect on each. 1 burner, dual gas.

Can you control flame with that valve?

200k btu burner on propane- 1/2 that btu on ng, still a good setup for beer brewing or a wok!

Tank stopped working after 3/4 because the flow out of the tank was too high and it was freezing up the tank. Causing the pressure to drop

What is the fitting you used at the end of the black regulator hose that screws into the burner housing? I have an NG hose, but I can't figure out how to connect mine to the burner

What size drill bit did you use for expanding the orifice for NG?

    • @frankgeeves
      @frankgeeves  ปีที่แล้ว

I stepped it up, I drill a little bigger then installed and ran gas. I had to repeat process a few times till I got the correct size. It has to do with your gas pressure.

So how would you adjust the flame up and down? Is it with the propane valve or air intake or how exactl?

@@moisesmera7913 my stove has a knob just before the valve, just like a kitchen gas stove.

I have natural already set up outside. Trying to find the right hose and a regulator for it that’s already set up for natural gas. Any recommendations?

This is the one I used, but does not have a regulator to lower flame: www.homedepot.com/p/KitchenAid-Natural-Gas-Conversion-Kit-710-0003/204268072

Did you re-use the propane regulator too, or is that a new one?

Michael Sheehan no the gas hose I got at Home Depot has its own regulator. I had to buy a regulator separate after video.

I am installing a backyard kitchen and was planning to go with a natural gas stove, but they seem to be way too expensive.,
So I plan on buying a propane stove and converting that into a natural gas stove.
    Quick questions:
    1. What is the downside of such a conversion?
    2. The patio is 80 feet from the meter. Will this be an issue?
    3. What kind of professional can help me with the conversion?

Propane is a pain!! you always seem to run out of propane when you have guest over. Gas is so cool, no propane needed. Of course you would need to run a gas line. A plumber can run a gas line for you, the propane grills have a natural gas conversion kit you can do yourself. 80' feet of gas line should not be an issue, they use green iron pipe dug to at least 18" deep. If you have a raised foundation you may be able to run in the crawl space. Or can run line through attic.

looks like it does not have enough pressure, flame is too yellow. will blacken all your pots
