A very fair review! I just love the set up and slow build. The structure of the film is great. A) Look at the bad thing that happened in the house. B) Is it happening here? C) Yes!

Thanks for another cool review, and another fond blast from the past. I used to really dig this back in the 80's; it was a bit different to the usual slasher and monster fare of the time. My opinion back then was that it was a bit more thoughtful and character based than most stuff. I wonder what I'd think of it now? Might have to find out.
Nostalgia can cover a lot of the cracks. I reckon you’d still love it.

Nope I’ve never been to a horror festival. Would love to go but with work and family life it just seems impossible.

Whoever draws these box arts needs to be told there overselling the movie, whoever thought watching a middle class kid moping about for over an hour would make for a good movie needs to have a talking too.
