Since the last time I mentioned Mocky, I have now seen another one of his movies (totalling 3, now). That one was "Un linceul n'a pas de poches", which is a sort of social/political thriller, Mocky-style. Which is to say, wacky, filled with bizarre black humour, and Mocky narcissistically casting himself as the lead. Kill the Referee is quite a well-known film here in France, and I have yet to see it. The movie seems quite prophetic with its portrayal of rabid football fans, and seeing as how I live in a French city whose fans are notoriously known as being some of the country's worst, I feel that I need to watch it now. Glad you enjoyed it. Also, Eddy Mitchell (which, btw, is literally pronounced "Mitchell" as in English) was mostly a singer, if I'm not mistaken (I'm not much of a music fan). I think he also presented a movie show on French telly back in the 80s, predating Alex Cox's Moviedrome.
I’ve not bought this. Yet. I’ve got a few box sets recently, and didn’t know anything about this one. I’ll look out for reviews of the other discs before deciding.

@@manvfilm It is the same time of movie I feel. it is about an engineer that try to get a job by serial killing his competitors. You should love it if you loved this one :)
@@manvfilm It is actually very different from that movie. Shock to the System was more on impulse at start, while this movie is about pure desperation. It is also about taking out your superiors compared to taking out your equals.

I am currently watching Litan and I can say that I really like what Mocky does with his movies.

It's an interesting film, almost Hitchcockian and almost social realist.
