The solo was done through a talk box. The amplifier runs the sound up through a tube into his mouth. Matthias manipulates the sound by changing the sound with his mouth he’s not using his voice. He’s only changing the space in his mouth.

When they first came to the USA in the late 70s they played theaters and smaller Auditoriums, I saw them on the Lovedrive tour open for Rainbow with Graham Bonnet on lead vocals, that was the only one of 12 times that I saw them in a smaller venue of several thousand, after that tour they were headlining in arenas for Animal Magnetism. Great band!

Thank you for this reaction. Can’t believe Alanna don‘t know The Scorpions..😅 The guitar Player Matthias Jabs is using a Talkbox to make that sound.

That is an effect where you lead the sound through a (garden) hose by means of a driver, and put this hose in your mouth. And then you can talk with the sound of your guitar.

This effect was used earlier on the Frampton Comes Alive in 1976 . It stayed on the chart for 97 weeks .

You guys, that was a talk box he was using. You have to hear Peter Frampton "Do you Feel Like We Do". He is the best at the talk box.

I seen the Scorpions and Motley Crue in the early 90s at Alpine Valley, Wisconsin. What a great show that was.

It was a talk box, the air flow through the tube is running to an effect of his guitar

I think Peter Frampton was the first to use it back in the '70s.

You need too understand prior too this concert russia was a hard core communist controlled nation and did not allow Western bands or anything from the west into the country. This took place shortly after the collapse of the soviet union and its withdrawal from its occupation of eastern germany and eastern europe officially ending the cold war that existed between the soviet union and the Western allies after WW2.

New music is no longer music, it's lame, to be honest.
