Considering Bowser and Goomba also own a board (as well as Goombas appearing in the background in Goomba Lagoon) and both are playable, Wiggler is still very likely! Personally I like Wiggler so that would be much appreciated.
The enemy gotta be Piranha Plant. Imagine him running around the board where he just hops around in his pot. And he just smacks his head against the dice to hit it. Would be the goofiest looking Mario party character and would fit well as a joke character

Chain chomp seems more like a mechanic in a minigame, koopa paratroopa seems very lazy and unlikely, boom boom would work but it’d make more sense to include him with Pom Pom since Pom Pom was recently introduced to the Mario party series. I think fire piranha plant is the most likely. (Sorry for the long paragraph)

I’m kinda expecting 33 characters, I know that’s like a lot and 5 more then you had, but Nintendo did say it’s the biggest party game so it would be nice
For 30 characters, that'd be 9 more. I'd think these are most likely: Dry Bones, Pauline, Diddy Kong, Nabbit, Hammer Bro, Petey Piranha, King Bob-Omb, Lakitu and Blooper. I think the reason they picked Ninji rather than Nabbit, is probably becouse he's supposed to be Bowser Jr and we already have Bowser Jr playable. But then again, having multiple of the same character hasn't stopped them before. If i were to pick 10 more, just for fun, these would be it: Ludvig, Wendy, Iggy, Kamek/Magikoopa, Charging Chuck, Chain Chomp, Prince Florian, Toadsworth, Sprixie, Penguin King (Mario Movie). I think 3 koopalings would be decent. Rather than adding Boom Boom and Pom Pom. Also with Bowser Jr, that makes them 4, if you want only koopalings on the board. Kamek/Magikoopa is the host but they already have 2 Bowser's, so they could figure it out.
Diddy Kong, Dry Bones, Hammer Bro, Pauline, and Nabbit are obvious no brainers as all 5 of them are iconic in their own right Blooper would be a nice addition alongside Spike, as both only had one appearance prior to Jamboree (Blooper in MP8 and Spike in MP10), and both having a chance to be in another game would be awsome I'd also say Funky Kong, Sprixie, and Luma would be great additions for Mario's team, as Funky Kong is pretty much a spin off mainstay similar to Pauline and Diddy, and Sprixie and Luma actually made appearances in the Tennis Games, so I don't think it would be out of place for them to be playable in Mario Party As for the wild card enemy, I personally think the Waddlewing enemy is deserving of a playable debut, just the thought of a flying squirrel running around the board is hilarious XD So this would be the ideal roster for me: = Team Mario = Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Rosalina, Toad, Toadette, Wario, Waluigi, Yoshi, Birdo, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Funky Kong, Pauline, Luma, Sprixie = Team Bowser = Bowser, Bowser Jr., Koopa Troopa, Shy Guy, Goomba, Monty Mole, Boo, Spike, Ninji, Blooper, Hammer Bro, Nabbit, Waddlewing, Boom Boom, Pom Pom, Wendy, Petey Piranha Ofc, i don't expect all of them to make it in, it would be a nice surprise though
This isn't a Mario Tennis Aces character, but I would love to see Cheep Cheep make the roster If they can make Blooper a playable character, they can do Cheep Cheep too. He's one of the few super iconic enemies that has yet to be playable in any of the Mario spinoff games. We've had goomba, koopa, boo, chain chomp, piranha plant, etc. yet no Cheep Cheep. I'd love to see the little guy be playable for once
I expect the 4 not included characters from super Mario party (hammer bro, diddy Kong, dry bones, and Pom Pom) to all be in as unlockable characters, the others I think are chargin chuck (because of that gameplay thing), Pauline (because of fame), boom boom (because of Pom Pom), funky Kong (same as Pauline), and blooper (because a returning character is good for a good character roster of 30)

We don’t know what the CSS looks like and if it’ll be like Super, could be like other entries, as for me I’m mainly going with Diddy, Pauline & Dry Bones for a 24 character roster, Hammer Bro & Nabbit in case it comes out to 26 Oh also as a wild card pick I’d say Roy Koopa as I don’t think any of the characters from Aces are a well fit minus Boom Boom but it seems he’s a host for the Mini game mode

Ninji wont be a unlockable character since the previous Super Mario Party never EEEVER showed unlockable characters in their reveal trailer or the start of the games intro sequence so i think the intro shot ISNT the final starting roster regardless, since Daisy wasnt present in Mario Party Superstars's reveal trailer's intro scene, and besides you CLEARLY said the starting roster is based on SIDES, and which is why i STILL THINK that Ninji WILL in Bowser's side in the next direct's video involving Super Mario Party Jamboree and that will include 3 more playable characters on Bowsers side to be available from the start to even out both SIDES of Mario and Bowsers group, and i think we should have 6 unlockable characters, 3 for each side.

I was thinking of obscure Mario enemies for Team Bowser but I am kind of out of good ideas. I don’t see a Chain Chomp, Bob-omb or Piranha Plant being playable. King Bob-omb and Petey Piranha would be too big to be playable in minigames along with other characters. I also do not see Blooper coming back. Dry Bowser and Paratroopa are kind of just clones. Flutter would be on Team Mario. Kamek is not playable. So I just picked the Koopalings to represent Team Bowser.
The Koopalings would be perfect
