Nice video and all, but Sunset Wilds at 6/10? Please tell me you didn’t forget about the main feature of Sunset Wilds (that being the skybox changing from a sunset to a night time setting as the laps progress), because that’s what made it special. GBA and Tour had it, but not 8DX. (You forgot it, didn’t you?) Also, you can replicate the Wii difficulty with 200cc. Believe me, Maple Treeway (and the other Wii tracks) are way harder on 200cc.

The thing that disappointed me the most about Sunset Wilds is they removed the Sunset gimmick, where the sky would get darker after each lap in the GBA version, and I really wanted to see how that would look in HD 😞

I just can't stand it when a company I know that puts out high-quality games falls back on lazy mobile graphics to make more money. Sure I bought it because I love Mario Kart, but Nintendo just put significantly less effort into the BCP and it shows. I'm glad you enjoyed the video though!
I feel like that's the most overheated thing in this game. Not that it's not bad but the way fans screech and wail about it is like their whole family was killed by Nazis.
I think it was reasonable to have SNES Mario circuit 3 in wave 2 since it was Super Mario karts 30th anniversary at the time. And I also am not a fan of Toad circuit or even the graphics on that track but I think the track can be fun in 200cc
nice video it´s well produced and edited, the music is nice and i can understand you clearly i wish you had added some more footage to visualize your points. I haven´t played a mario kart since n64 so i had a hard time following as i tried to imagine the stages on wii etc

Tbf it is shit in terms of a remake. It deletes a lot of aspects that make it challenging and fun, such as figuring out which escalator to take or the whole risk/reward of the old cars. The only thing making it “good” is that its based off of coconut mall. Like a lot of his other takes are really bad, but with this hes actually right, and I wouldve even placed it lower in terms original vs remake

Alright I’m sorry but I gotta say this: If you genuinely think Kalamari Desert is a bad retro because it has a lap where you go onto the tracks and race AGAINST THE ONCOMING TRAIN through a difficult narrow opening between the tunnel walls and the train… …when you rag on the Wii tracks for being made easier as retros, and also praise GBA Mario Circuit for being “different”, literally because they took a section of the track and raised it on the Y axis and gave it a little slant??? You’re smoking crack. Full stop. Edit: Okay, and Cheeseland is creative? It’s a yellow desert. Yippee. They even removed most of the theming like the rats aside from rocks being shaped like cheese. The fact that Cheeseland is ranked HIGHER than various other tracks on here and it’s one of the best tracks in all of Mario Kart by your standards is absolutely baffling. What in the actual name of Shigeru Miyamoto is this list.

Wii Rainbow road was my favorite track of all time. I’ve played on that board since I was like 8 or 9 years old.

GBA Sunset wilds is probably the worst remake out of all of them
Considering a lot of Tour ports are from 3DS, which had a lot of Wii remakes, it's like a remake of a remake for many of these tracks.
When you say that Daisy cruiser is a faithful remake of the original. I presume that you were talking about Mario kart 7's remake.
