Most accurate install on TH-cam, most will deceive you and make it oook like they did it first go, where as this video shows the true pain of a seemingly simple job 😂 props
Hey, good job. I especially appreciate the "average guy" perspective and your trial and error. I've done this swap on my '07 FXT, so mine was easier - '06+ retains FXT bypass valve and hose. Not absolutely necessary, as you state, but you can swap the turbo-side intercooler stay with part #21885AA470 to accommodate the wider intercooler.
I’m new here. I’ve got an 04 xt if I got a specific aftermarket top mount I wouldn’t have all these attachment issues right? I would also need a tune I’m assuming for it to get the proper function?
I have a 2004 Forester XT with an STI intercooler(model unknown), is there any kind of adapter to allow the bpv to reposition so that recirc hose can be replaced by a single hose going to the turbo inlet as yours did?
I have a 2009 Forester XT Limited. My intercooler is more square shape and shorter. Do you think the STI conversion will work with my forester? Thank you
Why such a large intercooler if the scoop splitter wont event push air to the last 4 rows? Also the overhanging 4 rows will be directly over the turbo, likely heat soaking it more than normal?

Why not install a 2002-2007 sti intercooler? The engine is the same as in the XT, so fitment should be easier.

Is that the stock forester turbo? Or did you upgrade?
This video is part of the series of my STI upgrade, I have another video where I swap the stock one for the VF39
J Robling I can’t find that other video on your playlist, there are a few private videos though.
@@ChAoS000420 Yes they have not come out yet. The new videos are posted on Fridays
How did this upgrade go? Video does not show job to the end. I am looking to do the same thing soon. Thanks.
