Finally, a Filippino dish! I'm half Filippino and I make chicken and pork adobo all the time. Glad to see you put a lot of black pepper in it, In my opinion, onion is a must! Awesome dish Will! Thanks for sharing.
It’s such a personal dish that what goes in changes from person to person BUT tons of black pepper is a must. I was amazed at how well the fish worked in this dish
@@CookingWithClamsI'm definitely going to try this.
Great job CCW! Really great how you gave such huge props to your business partner. Nothing like telling someone how much you appreciate them! I liked how you kept the concept of the adobo, but switched it up so as not to overcook the fish. The forbidden black rice just makes it even better, more appealing!
Vinny is an absolute unit! Dude works harder than anyone I know
One thing people don’t talk about is how fun these fish are to catch. They fight insanely hard
Even the small ones!
Life is super good with a plate like that and on a day so great for weather! We are lucky to have ya!
It was a good one!
Glad to know how you get by by life and are able to make these videos! Didn’t know you had a restaurant! Can’t wait to try blue fish one day. Heard a thousand people say how terrible they taste, I have a feeling it’s jus5 people loving bland boring fish and it will probably end up being my favorite fish when I eventually get to try it! Great video.
thanks for featuring our dish man! What a chad!
Adobo is so simple yet so dynamic in flavor! It embodies how to get the most using minimal ingredients
@@CookingWithClams tbh, you cooked it better than most Filipinos can. There I said it. LOL
@@xPopee wow!
@xPopee you aren’t alone…he cooks Cajun food better than most people I know.🤙
Ha ha ha ha!!! That life raft killed me! Rad vid once again. Love when you're Fishing home turf, must feel good and nostalgic. Alot of us really appreciate your content brotherino. Keep em coming and Peace to you and all the ones you love.
The raft was amazing! Thank you for watching I appreciate it
What a nice video of you and your partner fishing in NY. You just have the best of both worlds. Thanks for another great recipe.
I’m pretty fortunate to have such amazing people in my life
That little inflatable looked really overloaded another great addition to the adobo sauce is ginger about an inch inch and a half of it peeled if you’d like to eat it unpeeled if you just want the flavor in the sauce. Fish adobo is very popular. Great video Will
Ohhh ginger definitely would have been nice
Your ability to land fish seems to have improved substantially🤙
Ha
I'm Filipino and you did a great rendition of the dish! - Also idk why but Florida peeps hate bluefish, I don't mind it! but I'm also Filipino and will try anything once! Next time toss a fried egg on top, its fire!!
Ah the fried egg!! Yes
Masarap! That dish looks amazing! Thanks for showcasing Filipino cuisine! Definitely underrated compared to other Asian food!
Highly underrated!! Some of the best food out there but hard to find
I love when you show your roots, Will. Its so authentic and spontaneous. I really think you should make a vid that gives us a clue of this amazing Ny/Kw/Connemara conection...lol Love you, Buddy.
Haha it’s all there! I don’t know what much else to say
My respect for bluefish is up. Miss Mama Clams!@@CookingWithClams
Doing this this weekend, just bought a bonito, as close as I could get here.
I'll let you know how it pans out 👍
Thanks again clams 😊
Edit:
just finished cooking it and had a little taste, delicious 😊
It works with bonito too 👍
I'm gonna BBQ the rack tomorrow morning to chuck the meat in my salads for the week and the other fillet I made spicy burger patties with home grown jalapenos bit of sesame seed oil, almond powder, garlic, ginger and celantro !
Thanks again clams, your a star 😁
Amazing !
you make me proud sir wil thank you so much❤🇵🇭
Thank you!!
Aloha. Love adobo, minimal ingredients, easy to cook, and super flavorful. I usually do it with chicken or pork.
I knew the flavors would go well with the bluefish
It looked delicious Will! Made my mouth watery! Lol good job
Very reminiscent of sweet and sour! One of my favorite
Looks good Will. Great job Vinny
Vinny is a legend
Another insanely awesome video & recipe! I need you to please open a restaurant in Florida!! I would go broke there!! Thank you Will for sharing all of this awesome content!!
Maybe one day!!
Hi Will , blue fish we call them Tailor here in Australia, minimum size is 30cm , 10 per person but it’s not unusual to get them up to 70 - 80 cm either. Definitely have to bleed them and eat fresh. They destroy our soft plastic lures by biting the tail off them. By the way I always enjoy your videos and Aaron’s as well. Keep them coming 👌. Oh we like to smoke them as well
Smoked bluefish is one of the best!
Great job thank you for sharing
Hey will I absolutely love this dish I am going to try it I never eaten black rice before but it looks delicious
It’s a lot like brown rice
Will, I spent my summers as a teenager fishing for blues in South Jersey - the real key seems to me is bleeding them asap, and sticking with14-16 inch ones - not too small, not too big
Exactly! Icing immediately is also key
28:59 daymn what a nice dish. gj
It tasted as good as it looked!
A day and a life of a fisherman
TNX 4 VID LOL
Heck of a day
Will, need taste a vision. If that blue fish taste as good as it looks damn!! Grew up catching those things here in Pensacola bay. They would eat all the hair off home made bucktails my Dad made.
They are a nuisance when you aren’t targeting them
Great looking meal. Definitely have to keep a few blues next time out.
Bled and immediately on ice makes all the difference
Didn’t realize you left The Keys!! Congrats on the restaurant.
I didn’t. I come to nyc every year a few times a year. Thanks! The restaurant turns 10 this year
That dish looks amazing Will.. Was hoping we’d get mama clams back as a special guest taste tester!
Next time!
As always, looked delicious!
So good!
That houseboat setup😮🔥
That’s our friend Ben! It’s for sale actually
I love watching your Videos....but that Crap Stain on your White Hat....Has to Go! Hahahahaha
Blood from the first fish!
Awesome Will! We usually slather the bluefish up here in mayo or mustard to make it edible, or smoked is good too. Gotta try this one!
And, BTW, when is the cookbook coming out, or do I have to keep re-watching your vid's to see how to make these awesome recipes?!
This almost has a sweet and sour flavor to it. Ahh one day but I don’t see it happening soon
My favorite vid! I cook adobo all the time pork and chicken! Never tried fish
Just gotta approach it a little different
Been craving an Italian sub since this video 🤣 finally had one today! ( not from NY), but Manzano's from NSB has a good one 😋
Haha that’s amazing
You need a John Skinner collaboration bro. He's an absolute GOD. Maybe the GOAT. I'm from Phoenix, AZ and I know about this fucking guy. Maybe even a John Skinner sponsorship. He has his own line of rods and tackle and I believe he retreats down to Florida in the winter months. He's an absolute legend. Hero's get remembered but legends never die...
Hahaha I definitely know who he is
ive eating bluefish i thought every way possible i got to try this also the scup looks good ive warp it in bacon but that looked better
Ah man anything wrapped in bacon!
Above and beyond Sir 😊
Go Vinny go
😃
Badabing badabong we in this ……. 🔥🤙🏾
Haha
Looks great Chef. Your menu looks good too. I never even heard of bluefish before today but I would eat it for sure.
People HATE them here. It’s an oily fish that is definitely best fresh
nice video. thanks!
Thank you for watching
wow thats looks masarap yummy 😋
love the fishing CCC will!!! i did a CCC today with a Perch, really good to eat. Hey you think the bluefish fish fight like mahi mahi? if so, interesting. Blues do fight though. nice dish, bluefish does taste good!!!
I do! They are absolutely ferocious
@@CookingWithClams blues or Mahi? I caught like a 38" blue off of old Saybrook. Nice fight, and the striper you can see in my photo as well 👍
Im sorry but that live raft 😂😂😂😂. At least they fishing. Recipe is killer by yhe way. Thanks
It was the best thing all day
You can turn anything Gourmet, makes me wanna take a bite off the plate. Great work!
Haha thank you Ben!
@@CookingWithClams your welcome! Gotta try your cooking some day!
🥰
❤️
Another Great episode 🇺🇸
It was wild in the beginning
@@CookingWithClamsI hope Maisey is doing good
Thanks for another good one!
If only we got that cobia !
14.2k LETS GOOOOOO!!!
Inching along!!
Next on the menu butter chicken (with fish)
Let’s go!!
I could see that working. That marinade could tame the god awful taste of bluefish. It sure looked pretty when you flaked it apart.
You could sneak this dish onto anyone who hates bluefish
🤙🤙🤙
Thank you!
Think I'll stick with the pork adobo. You describing how great it tastes, not being able to smell it-guess I'll put this on hold a while, unless it mysteriously shows up on a menu.
You’ll just have to come over
Are you coming back to KW? Miss your videos with Aaron.
My last two videos were with Aaron. You miss him that instantly??
@@CookingWithClams l guess you’re back in NY for good. Enjoyed your cooking, I’ll keep watching
@@francismartin67 he travels back and forth between ny and kw
Do You live in Key West or New York?
Yes
I split time between both. My mother and business are in ny/nyc. My best friends and a room I rent is in key west
Your ability to land fish seems to have improved substantially🤙
You sure?
