Thanks Sean I am a third Generation Greek Spartan from my Grandfather and the oldest male in the USA today at 70 he had one son, father and no one took it seriously I am Also a disabled Marine Veteran so now I have decided to take it seriously and train I am still pretty good at Taekwondo so Mauy Tai should be the next level for me. Next month I plan to join Nak Mauy Nation so in the mean time I am working on some advance skills.
I just completed the 10 Muay Thai beginners and the 5 advanced shadow boxing drills, got a good sweat going and a burn in the hip flexors.great work out program,Thanks.
First, Sean Fagan responded to me, so I’m basically famous now. I really did enjoy #s 2,4, and 5. 4 was hard at first. I can see this being a regular part of my warm-up routine and shadow. Thanks!
Hi bro. Keep doing more videos like this one, cause all the gyms are closed. How to train the different muay thai weapons one by one would be awsome. Thanks bro.
Hi Sean, I recently bought a bag and started training Muay Thai in my backyard and I've been loving it. I think I'm having a bit of a beginner's problem however! When practicing the kicks, due to the high amount of pivoting, the skin on the bottom of my foot has started to rub off and sometimes even bleed, especially on the ball of the foot and toes. I have a carpet material lined on my patio so I wasn't sure if this problem is just common for beginners or if it's the carpet that's causing it. Are there any tips/suggestions you could give to combat this issue? Thanks, keep up the great videos man!
I’d imagine the carpet doesn’t help, but generally speaking beginners are going to have to deal with the initial blistering of the feet because your feet aren’t used to the torque or pivoting that you do when you kick. Early on in my career my feet would be all blistered up where I could barely walk, but in time they’d heal and callus over. Now I don’t deal with it at all. Ultimately my advice would be to heal your feet before trying to kick again (so they can callus and strengthen) and then rinse and repeat! Hope that helps 🙏

Sean Fagan Let me rephrase your comment! It’s more like 100% you busted your ass to get to where your at. Luck is more like hitting the lotto or rich parents handing you the keys to a multi million dollar company. Hard work pays off 👏🏼
Hey Sean. Always enjoy your videos. I've torn my left calf muscle while kicking a heavy bag. It's been four weeks since. A little tightness around my left calf but no problems with normal activities. How many more weeks you'd wait to recover perfectly and kick with full intensity and spped for an injury like a torn calf muscle? Cheers.
healing time , then stretch time, then strengthening time. i'd do all 3 better i start full intensity kicks. just healing the injury isnt enough. You need to put that flexibility into the healed fiber and then strengthen it or youll be back in square one. body weight calves raises would be a good start
For the third type of kick, how do you put your hip in it but keep from spinning your body around? I feel like I can only do one or the other if a bag isn't in the way
Question Sean, I noticed that your checks are on the inside of your elbow. My coach tells me to always go outside the elbow with my checks to protect the elbow. What’s better?
Moving back while striking is basically useless. No real power or speed. You’re better off going forward and backwards taking angles with strikes then kicks.
If a fighter is moving forward and your a right handed fighter u step back with your left into South paw and it loads up your big left kick ferry handy being abel to fight going backwards expecially if the aponent is highly aggressive.........even if the aponent tries a big over hand right just lean back point your knee out n hel run onto it .....av don't it n it stoped me in my tracks so a learned the hard way
what a beautiful place you can practise at, thank you for the video tho!
Yes I am very lucky 👊🙏
Still a beginner but this helps me see what I’m working towards, great video thanks!

Hey, so for that kick/check drill, is it alright to sometimes substitute a savate/Bill Wallace-style hook kick for the check?
hi i have a question ?? I have been boxing for 4 years and switched to muay thai and I have groin strain now since 2 month do you have any advice??
For the third type of kick, how do you put your hip in it but keep from spinning your body around? I feel like I can only do one or the other if a bag isn't in the way
It takes practice and body control. Just repetition upon repetition my friend!
