If I was buying a new Tesla today, I’d get another M3 RWD. Better handling, better looking, and for my family (2 adults, 2 teenage boys) more than enough space. But hey that’s just me. 🤭
Trying to decide to buy now or wait. Tesla gave me a good offer on my trade, 0.99% interest, and the $7500 credit makes me consider buying before the end of the month. We just bought a model 3 rwd in September. I’d buy the dual motor Y. We’d become a total EV family. We’ve found the 3 is too small to use when we go on trips. Should we wait and possibly lose the $7,500 credit if the administration changes, and have a reduced trade in value on our existing trade if we wait to trade or trade now for a sure thing?
The Brits have a word, “bonnet” and another for the back locker, “boot”. But not for internal space aft the last row of seating. Long ago, USuns called that space the WayBack.
that is true. the $7500 tax rebate is for minerals mined in USA. LFP batteries are being imported from China and hence Model 3 loses that rebate in 2024. I might be wrong though about the reasoning.
Dude.. 2023 and 2024 M3' are 2 different cars. The look, interior, build quality, noise suppression, suspensions are quite different. i dont think comparing this MY with the older M3 is an accurate insight into whether to go for the 2024 MY or M3
After driving the 2024 M3 I just had to see how much different it was to the Y so i drove one. I must say I much prefer the stalkless steering wheel of the new 3 over the Y. I didn't even like the feel of feel of the stalks in the Y. If only the new 3 was steer by wire, then the stalkless would make more sense. After much deliberation, I am still going forward with the M3LR even without the tax credit. Over the cheaper Y. Fingers crossed something changes soon with the tax credit. Otherwise, i am just waiting for the referral program to be back on the 3. I want to give credit to who turned me onto EVs in the first place.
rumor has it that Tesla will start making the LFP batteries in USA (instead of importing them from China for the M3 eventually). However, it seems Tesla confirmed that those LFP batteries will be for their storage battery packs and not for the cars. Given the fact that Tesla rarely confirms anything or provides any insights it is all speculation mostly.
You did a head to head comparison between the existing Model Y and the NEW Model 3.. BUT you didn't have a NEW Model 3?!! ...TOTAL Click bait... Not up to the standards of the Out Of Spec Guide YT Channel!!
That hatchback is everything for me

I struggled so I bought both. 😂
Wow, the Model Y wrap is a real chameleon! Crazy. Color changes as you walked around it.
It would be very hard to pick if I was in the market for the small vehicle. Thank us for going through this.

Thank you for saying “front trunk”. The other term is not a real word.

I'd prefer LFP battery on a 7-seater Model Y but that car doesn't exist at least in the US. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

you couldn’t give me one of these cars.
I gave one to your mamma and she loves it. She also told me she wishes she had an abortion.
